A Call to Arms!

With Fuwanovel's new Recognition System in place, we figured it would be useful to help recognize the various helpful Translators, Editors, Hackers, Image Editors, VN Artists, VN writers, VN developers and the like around the forum!
As such (and to save us trouble) you can post in this thread so we can more easily give everyone an award. There are, however, a few conditions*:

  • You must have worked/be working on a project which proves your skills. Self proclaimed geniuses will have to post somewhere else.
  • You must have a way to prove it. Usually, being listed on the staff for a project will be enough.
  • If your project died without any material being released to the public, that will not do.

*These conditions are liable to change. Exceptions can and will be made, it all depends on the circumstances (And Ren's whims).

To apply, simply post on this thread or PM me.

Thank you for your cooperation or lack thereof!

Me me me ! Everybody says I'm a genius, It's not autoproclaimed.

Seriously though, do you actually expect people to shamelessly come here to ask for an award ?

I know you want to lessen your amount of work.

But just make some research on the forum and grant awards to the people who did stuff ^^" Gee, the secret police has 20 members xD

Even alone, this may take around 2-3 hours (Even less I'm pretty sure).

Not entirely sure it proves myself, but we haven't received any textual errors reports yet, so clearly we did something good.

I'm an Editor for, and the Team Lead of, JOAT Translations.  We do Sukisho stuff, and nukige, and other titles that I want to announce, but won't because we have priorities.  Mwahaha.

...though I think you knew all of that already.

Put out a plate of cookies, and they will come.  *Nibbles on a cookie*

I've got a full list prepared, don't worry. The problem is that I don't want to PM the wrong people, and most on that list are based on usernames we found in the staff section from various projects that matched those of some members on this forum, leading to the possibility they may be just plain wrong.

This is totally just to save us work, I'm not expecting anyone to really post here.

Wait, you're an editor?!

Don't you just love leading a project and having to edit for it also?

Well I'm in the same boat as this guy so you might as well throw my name on there

Of course, this blasted thing is still not complete. Though I've registered those who've already messaged me, I still need to gather some more people privately before the awards are ready for givin'.

And even then, it's still not exactly in my hands, though I trust there will be no issues in giving out the awards themselves.

Your award is ready to hand out. Just do what you need to do and discuss it with me.

What about those involved in OELVNs?  They're included in the main CPR thread, but I don't see them here specifically.  Shouldn't they be added as well?

That is a wording problem on my part, I guess...

I don't really know what to call the people who make it, VN creators? Maybe, either way this is supposed to include them as well, but maybe it didn't seem that way?

Just 'writers' would do.  It's already implied that it refers to VN writers in particular, since 'translators' in this case probably wouldn't be mistaken for someone translating something non-VN.

If you still think it's not specific enough, VN writers works just fine.  Developers would work as well, though that implies something closer to the coding side of things.

I would suggest the word developer? The original post didn't seem to include OELVNs because the job descriptions mostly apply to the translation process. In other words Translators, Editors, Image Editors and Hackers are all jobs which relate to fan-tls. Their OELVN equivalent would be Writers, artists, and programmers but only VN-artists were included in the original post. I suppose it made things confusing.

I shall heed your words. Impending doom is your responsibility.

Indeed, I've since come to understand this *taken a look at OELVN threads*

The main post has been updated accordingly.
