[SOLVED] Sharin no Kuni

So, perhaps I am being dumb, seeing as this is number 2 problem I cannot find a fix to on here, but whenever I download Sharin no Kuni the folder has several .eve's but none of them actually launch the game and there are no readme's inside the folder.

 

Can I get a bit of help with this? I am probably missing something, I just can't seem to find it. X.x

Shouldn't sharin be the one to start up the game?

What happens when you run sharin.exe? That should run the game normally.

this happens when I try to run the sharin.exe (all other .exe's dont work.

This means you have not set your system to Japanese locale. Try this:

1. Open the start menu
2. Type "Region Settings" (Open "Region Settings" which comes up)
3. On the "Administrative" tab is a "Language for Non-Unicode Programs" section. If yours says "English (United States)" or anything other than Japanese, change it to Japanese
4. Click button "Change system locale..."
5. Scroll down and select Japanese
6. Restart your computer.

It seems you had your location set to Japanese and not your system locale. Changing it should also probably fix your hoshizora problem too.

As you stated Getter, I had my location and language set to japanese, but not the non-unicode. (facepalm)
