Help on error issue :(

Yeah , keep getting this error while trying to start dracu-riot , anyone knows a fix for this?

you might wanna look around first on this site concerning any other problems.

in this case yours is the generic omg it doesn't work halp problem.

first off you might wanna add some pictures of the problem since that's handy for us so we can see what your problem is.

second did you set your system to japanese locale incase you did not around 90% of the vn's wont work.

incase you dont know how to set your system locale to japanese here's some images to help you around.

It's having difficulties reading the archive, and says that this error occurs when a normal file rather than an archive file, or when an incompatible archive file is selected, this error occurs. 

 

It appears to be the right type of archive file to me, so there's likely another reason why it isn't running properly. I don't remember exactly, but you likely need to have Japanese formatting in order for Dracu Riot to open properly. In the pictures Jeftai has above, under the "formats" tab, you see Format: English(United States). You want to change this to japan.  Edit: Tried running it with format in English, and the game booted properly.

Try the solution jeftai has in the previous post, as I don't think Dracu Riot needs Japanese formatting in order to run, but it should need the non-unicode option change. 

P.S. : Is patch.xp3 supposed to be an english patch or something? I don't see it in my files for the game.

Hello kurosiegy, welcome to the forums and thank you for posting your inquiry regarding Dracu-Riot!

No idea what kind of problem you have, and no idea if this solution will work, but try heading on over to Staircase's site and download the windows 8 compatibility patch (only if you're using Windows 8 of course) and the bugfix and apply them.
