reyaes Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 Definitely check it out when you have time. I'm only halfway through the 2nd movie but man it's been one enjoyable ride so far Will do. Luckily I don't have a big list of things to check out. Quote
nohman Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 Watched all of Golden Time over the course of a day. Likable characters with some nuance to them. The "amnesia ghost" stuff is played out a little too straight by the end of it, but I really enjoyed the show. Quote

Ezeefreak Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 Watched all of Golden Time over the course of a day. Likable characters with some nuance to them. The "amnesia ghost" stuff is played out a little too straight by the end of it, but I really enjoyed the show. I've to agree with you to the fullest. I enjoyed the show also a lot and I LOVE Kouko ... But I also think that whole amnesia thing is a bit "strange" and the ending was quite confusing. Anywy, Kouko made me endure all of it. I've watched Spice & Wolf S1 & 2 ... I liked S2 more. I just "understood" more of the whole thing and also the relationship seems more understandable. I'm a bit dissapointed by the end (but I liked it somehow) because the whole going back to the northern hometown felt a bit pointless. In the end I enjoyed it but it wasn't something extraordinary. Season 1: 7 / 10 , Season 2: 8 / 10 So and now I'm watching Ore no Kanojo to Osananajimi ga Shuraba Sugiru ... And I've to confess that I like such simple Romcoms a lot. For me that one is really funny and also interesting. I'm already et EP 7 and looking forward to the rest. Quote
Eclipsed Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 Well, Madoka will be the first thing on my MAL that gets a 10 'cos I simply enjoyed it THAT much xD Quote

Ezeefreak Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 Agreed, her character pretty much made the show for me. I was pretty fine with the "other self" angle at first because I just thought of it as a narrative device to tell you about his past and establish Banri as two separate characters, but the ending kind of took it too far. SilverLi Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 Spiolers, spoilers and some more spoilers. Halfway through with Golden Time. I am taking it easy now and only watching the ongoing animes. Quote
Kosakyun Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 Started watching Kimi ni Todoke 2. Oh my god Sawako stop making me hurt inside. Quote
ExtraMana Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 Best anime so far is this one http://www.crunchyroll.com/comical-psychosomatic-medicine The current short is on the lolita complex, I haven't seen it yet. Quote
cloudy12 Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 Well, Madoka will be the first thing on my MAL that gets a 10 'cos I simply enjoyed it THAT much xD I'm pretty sure I'm the only one who liked Madoka out of all of them DX Glad you enjoyed Madoka though :3 the ending for the third movie left me depressed for days....I watched it in theatres so once it ended, I was still in my seat for a good five minutes with the biggest shock on my face, my god.... What!? Why would that make you depressed? Homura usurped Madoka's powers and basically became a god with her. Homura's ultimate selfishness came true and as a result, Madoka got a partner to spend her time with. It's far better than Madoka sitting alone for all eternity with mere copies of her friends. Plus, if I'm remembering correctly, now witches don't just cease to exist anymore, but actually die properly. Quote

What made you depressed about it xD I thought it was fking brilliant. At first I thought it was going to be a complete downer ending with Homura completely destroying the universe (that was a lengthy explosion sequence >.>) but yay we get another rewrite and in the end all of Homura's talks of being evil and selfish and Madoka one day becoming her ultimate enemy is simply her wanting to just give Madoka a normal life (which Madoka constantly confirms throughout the series pre-magical girl) instead of leaving her to her fated becoming a god & symbol of hope / salvation for all magical girls (and consequently being forever alone and forgotten by everyone) Still overall questionable; totally wouldn't have minded if Homura just accepted Madoka in the end instead of 'pulling a 180'; Madoka's system was working fine and she herself seemed to have no qualms about her role, but nope, Homura's 'love' too stronk. You're living a normal life Madoka and I don't care if I'm the devil for that I swear the things Homura does for Madoka is so... idk WONDERFUL xD I can see why she has 7500 favorites on MAL Quote
XReaper Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 after watching the latest episode of cross ange, i truly wish s.o. would cut embryos dick off (regardless if it grows back) man i hate this damn creature, only god knows how much edit: and dat damn sylvia brat going suddenly bdsm was quite something, too SaintOfVoid 1 Quote
SaintOfVoid Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 hahaha thought exactly the same thing, he´s a very annoying someone and then his "i can get all the girls" attitude ....that just pisses me off.and sylvia whipping rita...that made me fell off my bed while laughing Quote
Ceris Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 I'm glad you loved Madoka as well. It may come to a shock to some, but Madoka is my favorite anime, and not Love Live. Madoka has been my favorite for so long, I love the story, the characters, just pretty much everything about it. My favorites were Kyouko and Sayaka~ Quote
Eclipsed Posted February 23, 2015 Posted February 23, 2015 Madoka's probably one of my all time favorites as well right now I love all characters (except Hitomi, like wtf) but Best girl: Homura. Self explanatory. The things this girl goes through make for one hell of story Favorite girl: Mami. Didn't get much spotlight but I thoroughly enjoyed her time as the 'veteran mentor' of the group. Abyssal Monkey Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 Mami's theme is awesome. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kIMf1CSAZYc I will despise that video for getting the name of the song wrong in the title. It's Credens Justitiam. They don't even mention it in the description, nor do they give any credit to the composer. Third rate ripoff at best. For anyone interested, the actual album is this one. Fred the Barber Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 Mami's theme is awesome. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kIMf1CSAZYc Damn, I'd forgotten how great the Madoka soundtrack is until you linked that. I must have it. Regarding Spice and Wolf mentioned above: yeah, I liked season 2 better than season 1 as well, particularly the first half of season 2. The two seasons collectively cover 4 of the light novels, of which there are... (checking wikipedia...) 17, apparently. Anyway, 13 of them are out in translation now, and they've been releasing a new one every few months; I have a nice little stack of finished ones and a nice little stack of not started ones, waiting for me when I'm ready for some more feels. I highly recommend them, if you enjoyed the show! So many people talking about Golden Time. I'd been on the fence about watching this one because of mixed reviews, but you guys are so positive about it that I'm thinking I should just go for it. Just finished watching episode 10 of Non Non Biyori (first sunrise of the year). It made my heart ache. So. Cute. I always knew Candy Store had it in her to be best girl. Quote

I highly recommend them, if you enjoyed the show! My research into spice in Wolf led me to the conclusion that they rushed the show just so that they could advance the relationship with Holo. I couldn't look at the show the same ever again. And seriously? 13 have been released in English? I was always under the impression that the companies who pick these up stall the translations for far too long. I mean, Index was licensed in April of last year and we only just got the second book tomorrow; SAO was licensed 17 months ago and we only have 3 volumes. The only series I can claim that doesn't follow this trend would be Haruhi which is all caught up. Quote
Ezeefreak Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 Finished Ore no Kanojo to Osananajimi ga Shuraba Sugiru yesterday. I enjoyed it a lot. It was funny, i liked the characters the "plot" and also the ending. Gave it a 8 / 10 ... You may think "WTF?! Why you give that show an 8, Golden Time a 9 and Shinsekai Yori and Nozaki-kun a 6?!" ... BEcause I like things I enjoy and it's just a fact that I enjoyed the first mentioned ones and not the others. So, honestly, I give a damn about what I should like or what the majority likes and instead I'll love the things I really enjoy Btw, I haven't decided on the next anime. But I'm sure the most of you will shake your head about my choice Quote
Nosebleed Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 OreShura is pretty good although the ending was so ambiguous, but it was really fun to watch, it also had a catchy OP. I'm at a loss on what to watch next.. recommendations? Quote
Eclipsed Posted February 24, 2015 Posted February 24, 2015 Its k Ezee we still wub you I mainly base my scores solely on 'did I enjoy it?' as well xD it's not like I'm a professional reviewer or anything~ ~~ Finally finished Kiniro Mosaic and Outbreak Company. I'll miss these shows, though having two 'side dishes' is kinda ehh so I'll stick with one for now. *Cough* Amagi Brilliant Park *Cough* Unfortunately, for the main courses, I now have a backlog: Bakamonogatari Noragami Kimi ni Todoke AnoHana They're all good from where I left off before I went all-out for Madoka, but I think I'm in an anime slump right now or something @.@ maybe it's time to go back to VNs for a bit ....... nah too lazy. I think you've seen everything what I know already ... But Chihayafuru is on your Plan to Watch List. I think you should start that one, you won't regret it (says the Lord of bad taste ) PS: Nosebleed, even it's not best grill, I still like your Avatar Quote
