Stray Cat Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 Don't expect anything, the manga's ending was an absolute trainwreck that made every fan of it facepalm so hard their hands clipped through their skulls (figurative representation). Luckily there's a sequel manga that's addressing some key issues but the anime's second season is not going to get that far. Quote

Nosebleed Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 Still, I was particularly fond of how episode 12 went, so as long as I get more stuff like that along the way I'll be satisfied. Quote
Jibril Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 They literally cut off the action in the last chapter and didn't explain anything. How is that amazing..? Quote
Nosebleed Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 How? The pacing was perfect. The tarot cards were perfect. Hide was perfect. Arima was perfect. Kaneki was perfect. Juuzou oh God was amazing. That one eye twist was perfect. The final page of that chapter was bloody masterpiece. Quote
Kosakyun Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 Oh i'm not denying it got cool, it was definitely well executed, the action is great after the anime's events, it's just the very end to the story in the manga was awful. My point is, don't get incredibly hyped, it might lead to disappointment, kind of lile akame ga kill's anime. Quote
Nosebleed Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 It's probably for the best if they go original. And i must be the only person here that doesn't consider cliffhanger endings that explain little to nothing and don't conclude the action to be brilliant endings. I'm sorry if i'm missing something here but can you explain how leaving the action when it's about to become really good (as in escalating to epic proportions) an amazing ending..? It literally felt like having an orgasm denied. But well i'll keep my mouth shut, just wanted to drop my opinion on Tokyo Ghoul. Quote

Jibril Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 Not gonna lie, that made me feel like I was talking to an old lady. I finished Tokyo ESP. It was actually anime meets X-men meets Indian Jones. I'd be up for a second season though. Quote
Kosakyun Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 Hm... well you could try Nanana's Buried Treasure. That's more to Indiana Jones meets anime~ Quote
Mikimir Posted December 18, 2014 Posted December 18, 2014 Dog Days...jk currently watching Shinsekai Yori and Durarara! Waiting for Kancolle anime to come out. Quote
Stray Cat Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 Hm... well you could try Nanana's Buried Treasure. That's more to Indiana Jones meets anime~ Already in my gigantic plan to watch list. I'm finishing Hanayamata up now. I think it's the best pure Slice of Life I've ever seen. It's also like riding an emotional roller-coaster. Quote
FinalChaos Posted December 19, 2014 Posted December 19, 2014 Reached ep 20 in Index. The most recent arc about Accelerator is the best one till now. I do like Accelerator a lot more than Touma, simply as he is much more interesting and there a lot of scope for character development. Touma was interesting at the beginning, but he got boring pretty soon. Quote

Stray Cat Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 I finished Hanayamata. I'm with Nosebleed, it was beautiful. Exactly what I want from Slice of Life. Quote
FinalChaos Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 The opposite happened to me. I very much disliked Touma when it started, but I cam to like him afterwards. I don't dislike him, just that he seems a bit boring as in all the battles have him saying the same things and doing the same thing. Finished Index. It is a good anime but it doesn't feel as good as all the hype, but that might change with the later seasons. I will get around to watch Railgun in a couple of days Quote

FinalChaos Posted December 20, 2014 Posted December 20, 2014 In Index, Touma is a faggot. In Railgun S, he is a TouMAN. I see how you specifically mentioned Railgun S and not Railgun itself. So I guess I still need to go through both Railgun and Index 2 before I start liking Touma ..... Quote
