IMHHW ADVplayer help?

So i recently got IMHHW and i was excited to play it. The game runs fine up until i meet the girl in the wheelchair on the hill, but then I get a popup saying ADVPlayer HD crashed. I searched all over the forums and couldn't find anything that was definite help. I tried uninstalling ADVplayer but i couldn't find it anywhere on my PC. And downloading different codec packs didn't help either. If anyone can give me some solid help I would greatly appreciate it.

Have you tried turning down the settings of the game? The game can be pretty laggy in the first chapter, and could crash if your computer can't handle it.

And yeah I am using the patch plus turning down the settings didn't work

That's a pretty generic error report which pretty much just tells us the game encountered an exception and is now closing. Your computer is having issues loading the next line, which may be calling an animation sequence or something, or the next line is broken which causes the game to close. I have the japanese version of the game, so I'm not sure if it's an error that occurs in the english one or not.

Did you run the game in japanese locale? This happens sometimes when it's set to english and the game will progess till the scene in the screenshot.

I installed it on a different laptop and it runs fine until i patch it so that must be the problem

I think i've installed the patch correctly and it still doesn't run

I had that problem also on a System but without the patch. Sadly I could never figure it out what the source of this was. Sorry for not helping you ...

I downloaded a pre-patched version and it still didn't work so I'll just have to play the unpatched version
