well the title explains what the topic is about, so i guess i will start. my favorite witticism is: pretty as a fox, stubborn as an ox.

I'm highlighting this quote because the modern version messes up the meaning. "You can't have your cake and eat it too" is an example of obfuscation, you most certainly CAN have your cake and eat it too but there's no way you can eat your cake yet have it still.
