Stray Cat Posted May 3, 2015 Author Posted May 3, 2015 *Finishes Eva* https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0_DCs29xw2A I don't think I've ever seen anything go from a perfect 10 to a perfect 0 that quickly. Seriously, there is only one word to define those last two episodes. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=07So_lJQyqw I don't care what you say. It was philosophical? Yes, it was literally just freaking Post-Modernist theory basics. So what, I didn't sign up for theory class I signed up for EPIC ROBOT PSYCHOLOGICAL SHOW! It was artistic? No, no this was not art. This was art in the same sense that someone mixing around food on a table is art, 5 year olds are responsible for both. Seriously, there is no other way to define this aside from a giant disregard for all your fans. I pray End of Eva fixed this abomination. Quote
Flutterz Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 Seriously, there is no other way to define this aside from a giant disregard for all your fans. I pray End of Eva fixed this abomination. Well, the art budget was definitely bigger than that of the last 2 episodes. And it's a different story, so it's not like you'll be rewatching them. still makes no sense though Quote
Stray Cat Posted May 3, 2015 Author Posted May 3, 2015 Well, the art budget was definitely bigger than that of the last 2 episodes. And it's a different story, so it's not like you'll be rewatching them. still makes no sense though When I got the Platinum Collection at a garage sale, the 5th disk was missing. The 6th disk was there, with the directors cut of 21-24, but that meant the last two episodes weren't. At first, I was puzzled by this, but now I understand completely. The previous owner obviously burnt the 5th disk in a tribal cleansing ritual, erasing his memory of this sacrilege and convincing himself that the series ended at 24. Kosakyun and Flutterz 2 Quote

Stray Cat Posted May 4, 2015 Author Posted May 4, 2015 Polls are up. I also made the second post in this thread a club history. Quote
Kat Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 Well it seems that no one is rly bothered by what genre we're gonna watch, so imma go with my first idea: Space. And my suggestion will be Cowboy Bebop. Make sure u put it in, u cat Quote
Shikomizue Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 Well, time to marathon the last... *checks to see how many episodes are left* 12 episodes and End of Evangelion. Quote
Stray Cat Posted May 4, 2015 Author Posted May 4, 2015 Skip the last two, you won't be missing anything. Quote
Shikomizue Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 One word: Completionist. No matter how horrible it may be... Quote
Stray Cat Posted May 4, 2015 Author Posted May 4, 2015 So am I. I'd have rather let it sit on-hold forever. Quote
Kosakyun Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 I didn't even watch the movies yet. Oh well. I'll rate based on the series. I can taste the saltiness of the poll. :salt: Quote
Turnip Sensei Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 Here we come Space! My recommendation for Planetes is still valid. Quote
Stray Cat Posted May 4, 2015 Author Posted May 4, 2015 Anyone else signing up? That's only two so far. Quote
GetterEmperor Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 I'm nearing the end of Evangelion. I'll also suggest Vandread for the space one. Quote
Shikomizue Posted May 4, 2015 Posted May 4, 2015 I'll also join, though I don't have anything to recommend. Quote
Stray Cat Posted May 5, 2015 Author Posted May 5, 2015 Although not fond of Space, I'll join in anyway. I recommend Space Dandy. Quote
Shikomizue Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 Although not fond of Space, I'll join in anyway. I recommend Space Dandy. Somehow, I knew that one would be recommended. Quote
Stray Cat Posted May 5, 2015 Author Posted May 5, 2015 I'm surprised no one has tried Gurren Lagann yet. Quote
LinovaA Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 Oh Space? I think I'll jump in on this one. I recommend Legend of the Galactic Heroes Seikai no Monshou. Would be the perfect excuse for me to finally start watching it. Quote
Shikomizue Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 I'm about to watch the last two episodes of Evangelion. Wish me luck... Quote
Shikomizue Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 Okay I finished it. Now, time for my review. Story: Before last two episodes: 7/10.Ep. 25 and 26: -5/10. Following the path of Stray Cat: For the last two episodes anyway. I think the story of Evangelion was pretty good all throughout the show. It kept itself interesting enough for me to like it, twists and turns here and there, and just good all around. Except for the last two episodes. If there was a message they were trying to convey, I didn't get it. I'm sure there was a point to all of that but I can't figure it out. Stray Cat 1 Quote
Kosakyun Posted May 5, 2015 Posted May 5, 2015 I can't believe you guys didn't think Misato was best girl. I just can't. Quote
Stray Cat Posted May 6, 2015 Author Posted May 6, 2015 I can't believe you guys didn't think Misato was best girl. I just can't. I just have an Asuka thing, especially after rebuild. Rei is a close second though. Nothing against Misato, just wasn't as good as the others IMO. Quote
