Nosebleed Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 From a user on Facebook. Initially they were trying to open the game inside the .zip folder which I told them to extract. After that they messaged again saying the same error pops up. The window says "there was an error loading the save data" They told me they saved after extracting too. Read-only is unchecked as well according to them. Any help? Error in question: Quote
SoulJustIn Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 Do you or who have try install? i get this information from the team. to install the partial english patch: 1. in the sweet pool folder that you extracted there should be a file called something like 'sweetpool.exe' 2. copy this file 3. then go computer -> c drive -> program files -> nitropluschiral -> sweet pool (the folder where you installed it - it might be a bit different for you) 4. then paste the file you copied in this folder. 5. you will be asked if you want to replace the existing file, say yes 6. then just double click on the .exe file to play the game 7. hope that works for you Quote
Nosebleed Posted January 10, 2015 Author Posted January 10, 2015 The game is prepatched (from Fuwanovel) so sweetpool.exe is already in there. This person gets that error whenever they try to load a save. Quote
Ryechu Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 I'm praying that they actually unzipped the folder. Please tell me they did that much. I see a Winrar folder and the first thing I think is "oh god don't run it from that". If unzipping the Fuwa Prepatched to their desktop and running the proper exe inside doesn't work, then it's literally going down the list of common issues of "check locale," "don't use AppLocale," "run as admin," "read only," etc. I've had this one working on Windows Vista, 7, and 8, so I know there's no problems with it. Save issues + Zipped files = bad, especially if they're set to not overwrite/add data. EDIT: Downloading a fresh copy for testing purposes. Will be done very shortly. Silvz 1 Quote
Nosebleed Posted January 10, 2015 Author Posted January 10, 2015 That's what I told them to do and they said they get the error even when running the unzipped folder (I also facepalmed when I saw the Winrar screenshot). I'm kind of guessing that trying to run it from WinRAR might have messed something up initially. I'll give them all the regular suggestions and see what they come back to me with. Quote
SoulJustIn Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 i don't know what to say...... when i looking the save problem at the project site..... i better show pic then say..... http://puu.sh/ekyc3/cab5a19eb1.png Quote
Ryechu Posted January 10, 2015 Posted January 10, 2015 Downloaded a fresh copy from Fuwa. Unzipped it to generic program files location. No issue. Unzipped it to desktop. No issues. Created a save in the game. Closed the game down entirely. Reopened the game. Loaded the save file. Game magically loaded the save. Game works fine. Something on their end is set up incorrectly. Nosebleed Posted January 10, 2015 Author Posted January 10, 2015 Woow that kind of sucks, I told them to try all the solutions we know regardless but also informed them of this bug. I'll post any updates here. Quote
