Snowtsuku Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 Osadai, Ikikoi. I'm just a fan of parodies I guess. Quote

EldritchCherub Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 Dra+Koi has a fair amount of comedy and some action sequences which should surely pique your interest. Quote
Vario Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 Since i don't know what vn you already read or not. Little Busters! And Rewrite Also the common route of Grisaia no Kajitsu Quote
astro Posted January 22, 2015 Posted January 22, 2015 The only thing I've read that made me genuinely laugh is Kotarou x Yoshino in Rewrite. Quote
sorakmony Posted January 22, 2015 Author Posted January 22, 2015 well all of them are the VN i never read i try to read them. thank for for recommendation. Quote
Snowtsuku Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 Ikikoi is a parody? Not really. It has a lot of references though. Quote
MsMadness Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 I don't like any comedies, but common route of Little Busters and Clannad are the best for me in this, 'comedy', way. Common route of Grisaia is so long, so jokes about your mom, 'these women' and masturbation become boring later. Quote
Decay Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 Most VNs tend to have a lot comedy during the common route. Comedy is an important feature of storytelling no matter what you're writing, after all. VNs that focus mainly on the comedy from start to finish are much more rare. There are very few that are actually translated. I'd say My Girlfriend is the President, Dra Koi, and Majikoi are good ones. Ikikoi is a not-so-good one. Also, the DanganRonpa series probably qualifies. They're often mystery first, but with pretty strong comedic elements that persist throughout the entire series, never becoming particularly dramatic even during the most extreme circumstances. Recommendations like Clannad and Little Busters are semi-valid because the common routes are full of comedy, but once they start to branch they become very dramatic, sometimes forgoing comedy entirely. Ikikoi is a parody? Ikikoi is an unintentional parody of itself. Quote
mbl Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 I'd say you're unlikely to find a lot games that are flat out comedy. As you see by the mix of suggestions here, there are games within each genre that are just funny in general, and how funny they are will depend on the reader. I personally enjoy the comedy of Alicesoft games. I also think 'Wanko to Kurasou' is comedy gold, if you're looking for ridiculous situations over flat out gags... Though it does kinda devolve into an endless stream of porn near the end. Quote
