Was playing HuniePop during the sex scene with full audio. Dad walks downstairs to grab a drink and starts watching me. Explained that I was having sex while playing Bejeweled. Proceeded to say that he would dominate the game and brag about his Candy Crush scores and the fact that he has beaten every single level to date on both the PC and mobile versions. Sadly, I lost interest in HuniePop for the rest of the day.

 

Another time, I was hanging up a poster of a topless girl that was somewhat lewd in my room. Mom came downstairs and looked at me hanging posters on the wall. Only words to come out of her mouth? "Nice tits." She then asked me if I wanted some food for dinner.

It is not my experience, but my friend's.

Since I became engrossed in reading VN, my friend also became curious about it, and wanted me to send him screenshots about something interesting in VN I'm currently reading, including h-scenes with a loli heroine.

And one day, I sent him a screenshot of one of loli heroine's h-scene (I forget what VN it is), and moments later he texted me that he was doing church service (which I didn't know since he seldom do that) and terribly surprised by the screenshot I sent to him, saying that at the moment someone also saw the picture, but he quickly hid it.

 After that, I text him NSFW after sending some NSFW pictures. Still, he said that he couldn't enjoy reading VN because he doesn't like reading itself.

When i was 16 i was reading an eroge.....(no judging) I was reading it muted on mobile hidden in the corner of the living room. My parents kept thinking that i just play some bullshit so i could pretend. But my dad was walking around and suddenly a h-scene appeared (nothing much, just a naked girl) And he had to look on what i am doing in the worst moment. He never did it before but he had to right when it wasn t the best time to show him what i am playing, lol. Because it didn t work for some reason. But there are so many teen fags that watch porn and get rekt by their parrents. I know even about 11 old fag that watch porn *_* The new generation is horrible. But in my case i was pro in not getting caught by parents. And also not really long ago i was finishing a route of my fav VN and was trying to hold tears cause there was my mom like 2 meters away from me. Such embarrasing moment when she saw me... Before i knew VN's i thought that romance and such things like crying because of something is for weird girls. And i was acting so too. My parents have no idea what a vn is. So that moment when mom sees you crying for unknown reason is quite weird. But no regrets!

Also a bad thing to happen: You try to educate a friend or classmate about otaku culture or visual novels. So you act like you know something and just tell him that you know one game. I do it alot cause i need some buddies IRL that would play VNs. The next day he tells you that he tried it and comments with such words: Wtf is that? Is that supposed to be porn? Or a game? I never wastedmy time on a worse thing. That happens when you don tell him enough like it s a game that you played and really loved.

Then you are like smashing his head to the desk and then kick his ass outta window after such words. But i instead just give up on him. So sad the ppl around me miss such nice things like VNs...

Some people just don't understand the appeal or even what it is about...they just see the eroge bits and go "it's porn wtf hurr durr" and in reality plenty of Vn's don't havea drop of eroge in them and are outstanding and the ones that do have it's usually in the context of the game or route itself, so it's not just sex for sex sake in the game ( though there are those kind of games and vn's too, we all know that too )

But i do understand where you're coming from since i've had that happen too trying to get a couple of friends into vn's and having them go wtf was that...not everyone is fit for vn's no matter how much we wish they were so we could talk and share to more people our enjoyment of them. Basically Narrow minded people (No offense to anyone who may have an acquaintance like that, i do have some myself) Just go it's porn or something of the like without really giving it a chance or understanding what it's supposed to be which as you said it really is sad.

It's true, and kind of annoying; some people are very close minded and wont listen to explenations about what it is. They just look at one element and judge it based off that. In eroge's case, that is the ero part. They see an H-scene, call it disgusting and move on. Of course, if one is to make a counter argument, for example let's use Game of Thrones, people will just go "No thats different!"

It is indeed and at least we have Fuwa to gather and share our love for vn's and overall Otaku interests without any regret or judgemental people around, I really appreaciate what Fuwa stands for and means to us even if i haven't been here as long as a lot of other member, i'm truly fond of Fuwa!

Well, i haven't been reading vn's for all that long so no one's sprung up on me while i've read it yet, but i do have some pathetic getting caught moments nonetheless!

I remember when i was 11 or 12, i forgot to take out the vhs(it's a long, long time ago) porn movie from my fathers stash out of the player. He asked me what i had been watching and started chuckling. I was probably beet red

At the same age i was fapping to a movie and my sister suddenly stood outside the window laughing hysterically (i was sick and she came home from school early) not my proudest moment to be sure!
