Here are a few extra pieces of advice for troubleshooting running VNs.

1. Always make certain you don't install in the two Programs folders in Windows.  Some VNs won't save or run (I won't go into details) if they are placed in these folders (or any other folder that requires admin access to change).

2.  Copying files directly from the disc doesn't always work (some VN companies use a sub-program that requires a registered install), so if it is possible  you should always use the installer.

3.  In the case of some VN downloads, the auto-play function is infected (it really is), so the simplest solution is to use windows explorer to directly access the discs' contents and activate the installer.

Number 2 is a warning about doing it as a first choice.  There are some VNs where you really do have the copy the data from the disc to your hard drive, but in most cases, that isn't an effective method because of DRM or registry issues.

Had to do this with one vn because it wouldn't install correctly. Resulted with the skip previous read text function didn't work. Otherwise worked fine lol.
