Gaming headset - Which one should I buy?

Why buy a gaming headset and not some good headphones instead with a mic separately ? with that kind of money you can buy

This, very much this. No gaming headset will beat a good pair of headphones.

And so I ended up buying the Siberia V2. Pretty nice so far, my only complain is the short cable (I almost pulled down my laptop onto the floor when I tried to reach my cellphone while having the headset on), and the extension cable is wayyy too long. These guys definitely don't know how to make cable.
