There's also the recently released "Huniepop", which some people consider a dating sim... If you like match-three puzzles have a go. Plus there's the countless flash games on newgrounds. Quote

There is a common misconception by people outside the scene that any romance oriented visual novel is a dating sim. Or maybe they do know the distinction but call them all dating sims anyways. If you want a proper dating sim, english ones are actually pretty rare. If you mean just romance VNs in general, then there are a ton. Check the pinned threads on the top of this forum, most of the listed suggestions will apply. Quote

Romance Visual Novels are games where you choose different paths in the story to get certain girls. If what you want is a romance visual novel, then you should look at the pinned thread "50 translated VNs to read before you die" and read the ones which focus on romance. If what you want is a dating sim, you'll have to delve into the OELVN scene (English dev scene - Shira Oka, Roommates, etc) because hardly any of them get translated. Quote

I had never played May Club before so I decided to look at it. The http interface on the site was great except for the save feature which was ... FUBAR for lack of a better description. I could not figure out how to get it to work - I played one path and only managed to save somehow twice. May Club the game looked like it might have been good for its time but thus far I don't think it holds a candle to Nocturnal Illusion and True Love. I'd recommend most newgrounds dating-sims over Huniepop, just listed it because I knew people would come in suggesting it(as they did). Maybe I was searching incorrectly but from my recollection most of what they had wasn't that appealing. While I greatly prefer there be adult content, I think there were only one or two that weren't just outright porn with almost no plot or story. Did you have any titles you were thinking of? Quote

Porn with no plot or story is generally what the American crowd considers dating sims to be. "Aching Dreams" and "Transylvania Girls (Non-H)" are the only ones that come to mind with actual plot.
