Hey! I'm having a problem where I cannot run the setup.exe after mounting "MUVLUV_EXTRA.ccd." It says: "

"This verison of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you're running. Check your computer's system information to see whether you need an x86 (32-bit) or x64 (64-bit) verion of the program."

I have a 64-Bit Windows 7 Computer. I installed it before, and I recently uninstalled it, but now I'm reinstalling it so I can help a friend through the process... But now it appears I'm stuck with a problem I didn't have before.

Assuming this is being run from a disc image rather than an actual CD, what tool did you use to mount the disc image? I got exactly the same error you got when mounting the disc image with any tool aside from Daemon Tools Lite (which I had to install from the Daemon Tools website - be careful when installing it since it will try pretty hard to get you to install adware with it).

i also i have a windows 7 64 bit pc, but i cant remember if i also got that error.

I DO remember one thing and that is that the muv luv series is a major pain in the ass.

I also rember when reinstalling vn's that broke when i moved to the new PC muv luv was one of them.

And that there was one game for wich i had to pull some crap.

What i did for that game is extract all the data from the image to a folder and run the install exe from the folder. And for some reason i cant fatom that seemed to work.

The thing is i cant remember for which game that was, it might actually have been mul luv.

But honestly i dont remember, I will see what i can do on my pc.

Hmmm. I'll try both of your suggestions thanks! And I'm not using Daemon Tools due to the adware that comes with it, but I guess I can try it and just work around the adware.

Yeah, I tried any number of other tools which did not work. Only Daemon Tools worked for mounting the image. I suspect someone used Daemon Tools to make the image in the first place, and it's a bad rip that only Daemon Tools is able to understand. You can certainly opt out of the adware, and from personal experience, even if you accidentally install the adware, you can find and uninstall it easily.
