XReaper Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 @mugi thats the way it is with all these teaser animes like btoom, high school of dead, brynhildr darkness and so on and on and on....either way you start reading the manga after its last episode (mostly the purpose of said animes) or you´ll stay pissed forever (deadman wonderland is one of the best examples) Quote
The_Count Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 For me I'd say the worst endings I can come up with right now are: Berserk It just ends. No conclusion, no closure, hell; it ends midway through the most intense part of the anime. Eva nothing makes sense and no explanations given. Luckily it got fixed a bit by End of Eva, but by itself the ending is crap. Soul Eater Biggest disappointment I have felt towards an anime ending. Everything gets wrapped up and dealt with quickly, the themes are tossed into the wind, and bravery solves everything. What makes it worse is I hear that fight literally goes to the moon in the manga?! One that sort of just disappointed me though and wasn't what I had hoped for was Clannad. Not exactly a bad ending, just not want I wanted. Just felt like they came up with an excuse to erase all the bad stuff that happened. Fred the Barber 1 Quote
BookwormOtaku Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 Mahoromatic (anime): confusing and and overly angsty even for what was supposed to be a tragic ending. Manga's was way better. Rurouni Kenshin (anime): kind of a double here where the TV show ended on a weak arc The final fight is against some fat dude who sucks at magic?! and no Jinchuu saga, then we have the movie Reflection which betrays every aspect of the series (one of them bastardizing the Jinchuu arc) and was so bad even the author declared it not canon. Your post gets a Like for the Soul Eater comment, but I almost had to take it away for the Clannad comment Rurouni Kenshin (anime): kind of a double here where the TV show ended on a weak arc The final fight is against some fat dude who sucks at magic?! and no Jinchuu saga, then we have the movie Reflection which betrays every aspect of the series (one of them bastardizing the Jinchuu arc) and was so bad even the author declared it not canon. I pretend everything after the Kyoto arc doesn't exist. It's ridiculous how great that arc is, and it's even more ridiculous how terrible the subsequent arc is. Quote
Getsuya Posted March 17, 2015 Posted March 17, 2015 In the anime E's Otherwise the entire latter half is building up to a fight between the main good guy and the main bad guy. For the ending they skip the battle entirely and show you a few seconds of what some other characters are doing in the aftermath without any hint as to what the outcome of the battle was. Whee pointless. In the Gunslinger Girl manga the creator decides he's not a lolicon anymore and attempts to violently purge all lolicon from his manga with horrible results, only to also decide he doesn't like the teen spy romance approach either and purge that as well, though this time with a long, drawn out bit leaving the reader wondering why the creator hates all his good characters and loves all his crappy characters. Finally he ends with one of the most bizarre attempts to make a point about nothing I've ever seen. He literally sets up the last chapter to be a 'and the moral of the story is' and then gets a little tongue-tied when trying to figure out what the moral of his blood-soaked, shame-filled, mafia-porn manga was supposed to be. Aishiteruze Baby and Usagi Drop, two fairly good manga about raising girls, both end with the poor girl in the care of someone horrible. Some people who have actually read these manga to the end might quirk an eyebrow at the way I'm phrasing that, but trust me when I say this is the easiest way to explain what is wrong with both of them. Don't get me wrong Clannad is one of my favourite anime of all time, everything was awesome imo except that one thing. At least it's nowhere near as poorly done as Soul Eater though Quote
yanderechan Posted March 20, 2015 Posted March 20, 2015 I thought the ending to school days was the only good part of the show xD This is going to make me sound contradicting but I agree with you when I actually saw this anime I saw it under the genre of horror after twelve episodes in I was like whut?! But last episode proved otherwise. My comment above it more or less a general thought of what people thought about the anime rather than my own notion The_Count 1 Quote
fapaczer Posted April 22, 2015 Posted April 22, 2015 Akame ga kill's anime ending It was so CRAP when everyone except Akame dies they could at least kill her too just to be done with the killing Quote
bogdankl Posted April 23, 2015 Posted April 23, 2015 kiss x sis by far... I was promised incestual threesome in the second episode and IT FLOPPED AT THE END LIKE A FLACCID DYUCK, you had one job anime, one fucking job... but for realz now, i think the ending of the berserk anime was just the fucking worst crime against humanity, i don't read mangas so when the anime ended with a huge middle finger and basically telling everyone go read the manga to see what happens i flipped out like a coin on steroids Quote
