Hoshizora no memoria crashes constantly

So the game constantly stops responding after this line: http://s13.postimg.org/hj61p3ypz/hoshizora.png.

The game just shows the background image for a few seconds and then stops responding. Before that there were absolutly no problems. If you have any idea how to fix it please let me know.

Beyond that, unsure. I ran a clean install way back in the day, applied all the patches and it ran fine. But milage varies from person to person.

Have you checked if the files aren't set to read-only?

A few hours into the game. You helps an unknown woman to carry her bike to a shrine in the neighbouring town. He gets there and starts thinking; looking at the sky. I've done following choices:

01) Stay out of it.

02) Tell her.

03) Forget it. **

04) Tease her.

I just downloaded the game from here. Up the top it says "Complete patch 1.2".  running the patch gives me this error:

This is just my guess, but I think there was some problem while you were installing the game, thus making the CG in the next scene get corrupted, result in a freeze/crash. Maybe you should try reinstall it?

Select all the files in the directory, eight click, properties, uncheck read-only.

I tested with all file in read-only. No problem occurred.

Fixed it. Had to run the game on another computer and save at the next line. I guess my laptop just couldn't deal with this transition.
