Tohka Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 I installed the restoration patch and the .rar file from *no links pls* But when I select apply_diffs.bat, the game shows error I tried the steam walkthrough but It didn't work Quote
Yotek Posted March 11, 2015 Posted March 11, 2015 I remember having an issue like this when I first started that game. Just a few questions to get the ball rolling, did you switch your locale to Japanese? Is the bat file showing errors or is it the game? If the game, is it right when you launch it or when Hatto appears? (Greatest duck ever) Quote
Tohka Posted March 12, 2015 Author Posted March 12, 2015 My system locale is in japanese and the bats show error.... My window's system is windows 8 Quote
Yotek Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 If you could provide me a screenshot of the errors, or the text, I'll take a look. Quote
Devarcan Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 you can try to : -uninstalled the game, and install it again in the Data (D:) -copying all the patch to the game directoy. -run the patch with admin's right. I've also has this problem before, but it was a long time a go. Quote
Yotek Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 Devarcan makes some good suggestions. The other thing I can think of is that file path is really long. I wonder if some of the files paths are exceeding their limit. Try putting it in like C:\Temp . This will avoid any characters in the folder names that could also be causing some issues. Quote
Tohka Posted March 12, 2015 Author Posted March 12, 2015 On NT only a rar file gets installed How to go to game directory? Quote
Eclipsed Posted March 12, 2015 Posted March 12, 2015 Hoh boy.... *Ahem* ~~ Hi Tohka, I think your problem is that you only have the restoration patch, and not the actual game, so when you try to run the patch it obviously cannot find the files to apply to. Once you get the game then the restoration patch should work. That or you needa fix your pathings somehow Edit: Though, you mentioned that you used the steam walkthrough, so question: are you using the Steam verison? Quote
