Gizzie Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 I found some sort of typo or something in Agave after during the 1st H-scene with Tatsuko --> http://gyazo.com/71c3e0c037982da8fa3a403498a285b0 BTW is there list or something like that of the typos people found so there wont be multiple messages of same typos? dowolf Posted July 18, 2015 Posted July 18, 2015 So do Yamato actually say "My b" or is that the translator? He uses a slang term for "I'm sorry," which is what "My b" is. ...A lot of the complaints I've been hearing is about the use of slang, which seems strange to me. Like, when you're chatting with your friends, do you speak in perfect literary English (or whatever your native tongue is)? The idea of doing so strikes me as bizarre. But I dunno. If people are that bothered by it, it can certainly be toned down. Quote

Dovan Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 Yeah, agree with the guy above, it feels t feels kinda weird with "My b"     BTW is this:  http://i.imgur.com/f2K7IEt.png  translated right? The voice clip refers to Yuki by name. Quote
dowolf Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 I think it has partially to do with literature vs casual speech. It just seems wrong to read something that you would say. SOME slang is great but too much slang gets awkward and makes you question how accurate it is. "My bad" is already slang. "My b" is pushing it into jargon. Quote

twdarkeh Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 In Yukie After, you can skip until you see a jellyfish image. Quote
Dovan Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 I'm also assuming the messages in the lower left were left untranslated on purpose right? Pretty easy to figure out their meaning anyways. Quote
Gizzie Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 I found something that seems like a typo at the start of Future with the Kazama family. I'm not native English speaker, but this part sounds weird. http://i.imgur.com/CPxsntR.jpg?1 Quote

Dovan Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 That line is fine. Â Messages in the lower left? The system popups? I don't think we ever found some of them in the game files. Quote
twdarkeh Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 When you save or load one comes up in the lower left corner, one for autosaving, and separate ones (except for event or replay which has the same message.) for when you click an event, replay, cg or music you don't have unlocked. Â Â Btw is Kanzai the same as Southern? Quote
dowolf Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 "this upcoming March" and "come March" are synonymous. (There's a slight difference in connotation, but I digress.) As for Kansai and Southern: you mean in terms of accents, or location? Kansai is the southern part of Honshu (Japan's main island) (thought it literally means the western side, don't ask), and for God-knows-what-reason is frequently translated using a Southern accent. dowolf Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 Yukie says Yamato brought out his fake Southern dialect with the voice saying Kanzai, so I was curious. Quote
Dovan Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 Ah, yes. In that case, it's basically one of those weird localization things: I have to give him an accent, but "kansai accent" doesn't mean anything in English, so... You get the idea. Quote

Maxel Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 Dunno "come March" sounds good to me o.O As for "My b" thing I think it would be better to use "My bad" instead, more people are accustomed to it. My b(hard urban language) -- My bad(urban language) -- My mistake(normal language) I don't mind though, but probably some people would have problems with this. Still need to finish some routes in normal Maji, then I'll dig into this masterpiece Quote
Revyateil Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 For some reason, I did not encounter any bug, especially the bug that needed the 100% save. I don't know if it's because I already played half of the game with Wairu's patch and then patch it with the current one but I guess it's a good thing for me though  Bugs aside, I really like how Margit addresses Chris with this translation though, Frau Chris seems sooo appropriate and natural, gj guys! Dark Ariel7 Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 You know who does slang really well? The translator for Grisaia. The slang there is sooo heavy sometimes but it feels so natural. Quote
