Kurisu-Chan Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 um, i thought you'd be quite, uninterested... seeing it's beta timeline and your ava Quote
Vince Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 That's even better, since i've read some of the manga this VN is based off. And if it's like the manga, Okabe just refused to time travel a second time in order to save me Quote
Kurisu-Chan Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 im struggling so i don't read whatever you put in the spoiler there. Quote
Vario Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 Am I the only one who don't even hope for a PC version? 5pb. has never done something on PC before, you know. Quote
sirjabberwock Posted March 30, 2015 Posted March 30, 2015 Once again my hope for an actual sequel to S;G is quelled. 5pb sure like shitting on our faces Quote

Diamon Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 The good news : The OP has been released, and it's awesome : The bad news : Playstation & co only... No love for pc, as usual. kingdomcome and bronx819 2 Quote
CeruleanGamer Posted September 21, 2015 Posted September 21, 2015 This game needs MAGES from HDN and her everlasting quest to hunt Doc P. Quote
Nightmare799 Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 I am going to sound like an ungrateful prick right now, but I dont believe that this franchise has any need for sequel. The story is finished. The movie about the Steins gate timeline has tied up all loose ends, and I honestly see no reason to continue. As much as I love Steins gate, I say let it end now that the time is best. I dont want to mourn a sequel that might potentially ruin the reputation of this VN and anime entry. Quote

Well it is not actually a "sequel" in the literal sense, it's supposed to be the story of the Okabe from the beta line who failed to save Kurisu (the one who sends the video to the "second" Okabe), and how he deals with his remorse and guilt, until he finally devise his final plan to save Kurisu. It's not a really some sort of half-assed sequel where they pull out the plot from non existent material (The Steins;Gate movie for example AHEM AHEM), though it will probably have it own deal of new characters and new material to create a good enough story, the eternal question being : "Will the new material be consistent with the S;G canonical material?" Mkilbride Posted September 22, 2015 Posted September 22, 2015 Hopefully with less plotholes than the original. While I did enjoy it, it bugs me that a series that tries to take itself seriously is so full of plot holes. I understand, with time travel, there always will be plot holes, but so many glaringly obvious ones. Quote
bronx819 Posted September 24, 2015 Posted September 24, 2015 I'm actually really looking forward to Steins;Gate 0, but I feel like its a bit pointless since its more or less a side story. I know that 0 is about the Okabe that sends the video to the 'main' Okabe to save Makise, but again, I feel like its pointless since its mainly about a different world line where Okabe deals with her death and how he handles it.
