Android Lollipop Thread

This is a thread for those of us who use Android Lollipop. Impressions, questions and such all go here.

 

I updated to Lollipop on my Xperia Z3 Compact two days ago, and I am not exactly satisfied.

 

 

Minor complaints

The light blue status bar feels out of place. 

The camera icon is a bit ...off. 

All my song customizations (changing name, title, album art, etc.) are gone

worse icons for return, home, recent apps

 

Big problems

I miss the old "recent apps" menu, wheel does not feel as intuitive and touching the background does not get you back to whatever app you were using

The music player is far worse in the lock screen

The silent/priority/sound system is rather confusing (might take a liking to it later on, though)

I cannot immediately type in my passcode on the lock screen, gotta swipe first

I need to partially enable notifications in order to be able to change my music on the lock screen

something feels generally off about the whole thing, even the perfect (stock) wallpaper feels out of place

 

good stuff

I am loving the new notification bar, how it is transparent and the quick toggles are better organized, though it could use some improvements (I am pretty sure it offers far less options to add to quick toggle)

the keypad is larger and better now

keypad button animations, I now know what the hell I am pressing

 

Overall I might stay or (unless it requires root or ROM flashing) downgrade to Kit Kat
