Do you know any utsuge animes?

Am I using "utsuge" correctly? Anyway, I'd like to try some depressing animes, but those which are really sad, without that usual comedy side the studios tend to mix inside. I've watched that one adapted from a VN [kimi no nozomu eien] and I think it is quite close to what I'm asking...

Yup, that's utsuge except for the fact that utsuge specifically refers to games (utsu-geimu). Unfortunately I haven't watched any though, so there's nothing I can recommend.

"Ima Soko ni Iru, Boku" comes to mind. That show is pure depression.

Maybe "Jigoku Shoujo" as well, though i wouldn't classify it as depressing as much as angtsy.

I can't find most of those animes - since they are kindda old, most links doesn't work. Some fansubs even don't exist anymore @_@

I think berserk can easily fit in the category of utsuge (Hard to recommend it because it ends abruptly and you need to read the manga which is not even finished yet )
