There's Amaranto, but the extent of romance is non-18+ yuri, which isn't a very fun kind of yuri.

Well, Ayakashibito isn't apocalyptic in theme, so if all you're looking for is action with high stakes alongside the romance, I would recommend you find a way to install it. Also Coμ fills that category.

 

This is a minor spoiler for the game itself as it isn't obvious up-front about it, but Rewrite is about combating the apocalypse, basically, and has romance alongside that.

Well, Sengoku Rance. Event if " romance " isn't really the word for it, argh, in the end it's a romance game ! watch out comedy rape and gameplay

rewrite but they are basically spoiling you a big chunk of the plot..

I reccomend Swan Song as well, the basic story was there was a earthquake or so other natural disaster, and these people are bascally standed somewhere in japan, with no idea when and if they will be rescued (due to the very bad weather they cannot like fly a helicopter over), its a pretty good VN with mutiple endings, and it lets you see what happens from diffrent viewpoints at diffrent times. It was pretty good. Song of Saya might also fit the apocalypse setting due to one of the endings. Muv love also fits this, but be warned the first half of it is boring as fuck high school garbage, its not until later on when it starts to get intersting. I, myself have never been able to get past the high schoolpart, farthers I got was when you walk in on that catgirl in the archery team, I generally get bored around there due to nothing intersting ever happening.

 

Also what scale of a Apocalypse are you looking for? because their is various ones, like personal, town, country or world based.
