Vej Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 I'm pretty new to Visual Novels. I'm looking for a VN which has humor , Drama , Romance with a bit of action. I'm okay with some drama but i get really easily depressed if it gets to heavy The biggest criteria, there must be an English patch as im totally rubbish in Japanese Some VNs ive read and heavily enjoyed are Majikoi - Waiting untill Majikoi S is translated Fate/ Stay Night Fate/ Hollow Ataraxia Princess Evangile NekoPara Everlasting Summer VNs which i just read for time consuming purposes and werent really my thing. Sakura Spirit Sakura Angels. Thanks in advance! Quote
Eclipsed Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 Dammit you read Princess Evangile already Some lighthearted high school romance: KonoSora, HoshiMemo Have you tried Key novels? Rewrite is my fav of the bunch. Dracu-Riot!, but it only has common route + 1 heroine route translated. NobleWorks, but only common route translated. Yes i like Yuzusoft. ~~ Grisaia no Kajitsu can get pretty psychological drama heavy in the heroine routes but the very very lengthy common route is funtime Quote
shuak Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 I suggest Edelweiss. Its a good mix of humor, drama, and romance. It has a fantasy aspect to it that also blends in with the story well. Its a great VN and one of the funniest I've read that also included good romance and drama(IMO). there are 2 versions of the novel though. I suggest you find the updated one because it has lip syncing(when characters speak) and some other stuff. Quote
Regenerate Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 Kana Okaeri I've never fallen in love with my little sister before, but if you want a 2D one and a story that will break your heart, go for it. I just got the true ending last night. I bawled so hard my first time playing through. Quote
Silvz Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 Rewrite, anyone? Yes, Rewrite is your thing :B Comyu too, I guess Quote

Yuuko Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 Try Koi to Senkyo to Chocolate. Unfortuneatly the translators are very lazy but they have a partial patch with common route + 1 heroine. The editor is lazy not the translators or idk if it is the same guy Quote
Mikimir Posted April 13, 2015 Posted April 13, 2015 Tsujidou-san no Jun'ai Road is the perfect recommendation I can possibly offer but... Japanese How about Muv-Luv series? G-Senjou is okay too. Doesn't have much comedy in them but they're both great VNs that are translated. Quote
Vej Posted April 17, 2015 Author Posted April 17, 2015 Just finished Rewrite and man the common route was hilarious. Akane and shizuru had me shed some tears. Had a great time and is now my fav VN. going to start on Hoshizora no Memoria next. Thanks for the suggestions Quote
Clephas Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 Rewrite only took me twenty hours, in a two-day marathon... in Japanese. Quote
Silvz Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 I've read it in small parts of two months... and that after reading Umineko in 6... Quote
Vej Posted April 18, 2015 Author Posted April 18, 2015 YOU PLAYED REWRITE IN 7 DAYS? GOSH When i find something really good i will spend all my free time on it Quote
Nakajou Posted April 18, 2015 Posted April 18, 2015 Try Comyu... I think it fits the genres you prefer. (written up there^^^^) Quote

Tawm Posted April 26, 2015 Posted April 26, 2015 I think Cho Dengeki Stryker should have your needs covered entirely. It's pretty much exactly what you described. Ayakashibito is another one which matches your criteria. Also one of my all-time favorites. *Very* heavy on the h-scenes, though. Some of the most over-the-top and explicit scenes I can think of.
