Eurobeatz Posted August 12, 2013 Posted August 12, 2013 Do you guys think part of the reason so many people dislike the ART of this show (separating it from the story, which isn't awesome so far) is because it bridges animation and real life, and that many anime-lovers go to anime for escapism? I keep thinking that. Any thoughts? That may be the case for some fans. I personally dislike the art because the thing that attracted me to anime in the first place was the adorable art. Don't get me wrong, I'm not one of those people who agree with 3DPD; people IRL can be cute too. In anime though, you can have characters who look "perfect" and the cutest they can look. Aku no Hana is the opposite of that, it feels like they made the characters as ugly and unappealing as they could possibly be. Quote
