Chewy Posted April 25, 2015 Author Posted April 25, 2015 you need to read g-senjou if you want to cry if you haven't already then~ the epilogue hits hard. will do in the near future...after konosora, grisaia, majikoi Quote
HMN Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 will do in the near future...after konosora, grisaia, majikoi sachi is the feels route in grisaia and from what i hear wanko's route also has feels in it in majikoi, but i haven't really read it. as for konosore...i haven't read it... Quote

FinalChaos Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 I won't say that bad endings are always better than the good endings, but they do provide a much needed change. Â Personally my favourite type of endings are the bitter-sweet ones. Quote

julyan Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 I don't care if it's a bad or good ending, as long as it is realistic according to the premise of the story/universe/circumstances, then I'm happy with it. I hate asspulls. Quote
Yuuko Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 Bad ends aren't really my thing. I mostly love happy sad endings like Hatsuyuki Sakura (just realised title said manga and anime but whatever xD) that make me cry Quote
Chewy Posted April 25, 2015 Author Posted April 25, 2015 Bad ends aren't really my thing. I mostly love happy sad endings like Hatsuyuki Sakura that make me cry What exactly do you mean happy sad endings? Quote
Yuuko Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 What exactly do you mean happy sad endings? You know that the ending is happy but it makes you cry and not completely satisfied Quote
Chewy Posted April 25, 2015 Author Posted April 25, 2015 You know that the ending is happy but it makes you cry and not completely satisfied So like an ending where to people confess but one has to leave and both carry mutual feelings of happiness towards each other? Something like that? Quote
julyan Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 You know that the ending is happy but it makes you cry and not completely satisfied Bittersweet? Quote
Chewy Posted April 25, 2015 Author Posted April 25, 2015 Bittersweet? Yes thats what he meant but different people use it differently from what I can tell. Quote
FinalChaos Posted April 25, 2015 Posted April 25, 2015 Could you provide an example in spoilers? I could name a few vns which had bitter-sweet endings - G-Senjou, Cross Channel, Chaos;Head. Some prime example in animes would be Angel Beats, Gurren Lagann, FLCL, Kara no Kyoukai, Code Geass, Fate/Zero. Â Simply put bitter-sweet endings are the ones in which the end goal was achieved but the characters had to make a lot of sacrifices for it, which results in leaving both a sad feeling and a feeling of happiness. Â Â Note: Being the heartless person I am, some of my bitter-sweet ends are considered as bad ends by some people. Quote
