Some Muv-Luv help?

Okay, so I've started Muv-Luv before, getting through

Sumika's route

up to the amusement park and the game crashes, so I uninstalled the game and re-installed it again figuring that something went wrong. 

 

Now, I can't even open the game at all. I just get this message saying that data.ami can't be opened and this screen shows up after:

I've tried reinstalling it many times, running it as an Administrator, Trying it for XP compatibility mode (I'm on Windows , I'm on Japanese system locale, and I'm just lost. I can't figure out what to do for the life of me. I've tried looking around at other threads for some information, but none of it is helping me.

 

Some help would me much appreciated. I really want to enjoy this novel and move onto Alternative!

You could also try what I did and just run the game with the other exe which is the Japanese version and just go past where the error occurs then save and load it in the English version. Hope you could get the game working again.

Well, Flutterz, I couldn't get that far because the game won't even begin to load. However, I will refer back to this as soon as I get the game to run! This seems like it'll work to get past that point! 

 

I think I might have misworded what I need help on. I can't even get the game to the Title screen. Opening the game leads to the link that I posted, then I click okay, and the game closes. It's extremely frustrating.
