Love Triangles

...I love love triangles in a way that's both masochistic and wrong.

 

But no, really. It's a natural thing for people to like someone even though others like that someone as well. Of course, if you all started off on equal footing, it would be nice. But that's not how things work, doesn't it? Sure it does work sometimes, but you can't really help bias stuff. It's in the human blood. It's not a race, or a contest. It's a battle. You can't help having OP commanders in your ranks while you're just a petty footman. You just have to work your way through it, if you really want to achieve it. It doesn't help that it's in our nature to heavily deny someone liking us, especially if we thought of it ourselves or if someone else told us about it. It's human nature, bby. We want to run away from the fact that we're thinking about it being true, since it makes us feel all wrong inside or arrogant or something. Basically, that's what makes the men in harems dense. Though some are immensely dense, although I can't say that I wouldn't act like that as well. Unless the girl outright tells me that she likes me. I'd feel all shy and stuff and I'd just hihi. <3 It's all cloudy in my heart and everything messes up my judgement and I just love that feeling but hate it as well but I love it more because it feels nice.

 

That's my stance of love triangles. Equal footing is nice, but biased stuff is inevitable. It also doesn't help that there are concretely established archetypes in the anime industry that make everything seem so silly and unrealistic. Not that it's not fun that way. Thinking about it, these shows are ways to escape reality as well, so that's part of its enjoyment factors. Also, it makes interesting stuff happen. Not only interesting, but fun. But also results to drama that would need to be resolved.

 

These things are quite enjoyable, unless you look at everything that's mendokusai in a bad way or you hate wacky stuff or you hate comedy that's forced or you don't have a sense of humor that can accept everything that's thrown at you, even if it's Milky Holmes level shit or you just don't like watching conflicts and forced drama. Yes, my excessive use of or was intentional.
