Davio Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 (edited) Are you running your computer with Non-Unicode Japanese?: Yes Game: Utawarerumono Description of Problem: During the nickname scene, the game crashed, and I was unable to solve the problem using the method given at the download. Your Operating System: Windows 64 or 32 bit: 64-Bit What did you already try? I tried to run the JP text no voice.exe but it gave me an error saying it required a DVD, and when I renamed the utaware-dvd.old to utaware-dvd.exe and ran it I got an error in Japanese. Also running it as admin and restarting didn't work. Did you download your game from Fuwanovel?: Yes Edited April 15, 2013 by Davio Quote
Tay Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 Hi Davio, please repost according to the "Please Read Before Posting" post. Once you've done that, we'll be happy to help you. Quote
Mephisto Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 You likely lack the nodvd patch. You can try finding this patch online, or downloading a hexeditor and manually changing the hex fields necessary. The second one might be difficult without some hacking, since the english version likely has different fields to edit than the JP version. Quote
Kooi Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 Well, I've had exactly the same problem, so i thought i'd post my solution. Skip the crashing part, with CTRL, if i recall correctly. Yes, it's that simple. You can reread the texts later by scrolling them. Quote

Yes, it's that simple. You can reread the texts later by scrolling them. When I tried this, it crashed as soon as it went to when Aruruw said Erungaa. Doesn't seem to work in my version Quote

Davio Posted April 15, 2013 Author Posted April 15, 2013 Also, on a side note, does anybody know how to get the sound levels to stay the same? Because whenever I adjust the volume, it always resets back to max whenever the music changes. Quote
Kawaii Pantsu Posted August 13, 2013 Posted August 13, 2013 I found the nondvd.patch if you need it PM me or email me [email protected] since idk how to link it on this forum. Quote
