DemonicVenomz Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 Whenever I try to open up either game on my secondary pc, an error message pops up with some characters (unable to screenshot). I am 100% sure that it is not due to the cracking, as I had done it exactly the same as on my primary pc; which works. Quote
Nosebleed Posted May 3, 2015 Posted May 3, 2015 Well without the screenshot it's almost impossible to tell what went wrong, is there absolutely no way to give us a screenshot of the error? Are the characters Japanese characters? If not then it's probably your non unicode settings. Quote

Jackal256 Posted July 23, 2015 Posted July 23, 2015 Not sure if this has been solved but I'm going to guess you're like me and using a tablet to play the game if so you need to connect a keyboard and mouse to launch Magikoi and Magikoi S once in game touch input works it's just a bit messed up. blackbishop Posted December 30, 2015 Posted December 30, 2015 (edited) Sorry to revive this old thread, but I think I've a good excuse to do so .I got the same problem, yet I'm use a PC. I found no information about how to fix this error, so I took it personally. The problem lies in using Windows 10 and compatibility mode doesn't help (EDIT: now I read some other posts it seems it happened in Win7).Since it seems this issue was left open, I'll post how I fixed it myself in three easy steps:1) Download the latest MajikoiS patch from the Official site.2) Extract the contents in a new folder and depending of what you have you might choose:a) If you installed it from the DVDs, you can just run the update executable you will see after extracting them. But if somehow the updater can't find the path, you can use the tip below.b) If you are playing from a backup (just copied the whole folder from somewhere else it was stored) you need to copy the contents of the Data folder in the root of MajikoiS directory, you know it is the right place because it will ask you to overwrite some stuff, and say yes to all.3) Since you used an official patch, the game protection will prevent you to run the game, so you need to search and use AlphaROMdiE. I'm not going into details about it because I'm not even sure I'm allowed to name it . Use your favorite search engine to find more about it.I don't have Majikoi A, but if it has an update available in its website you can follow the same instructions (on the right directory of course ).
