Dungeon Crawler – Uncovering The VN Hybrid
littleshogun commented on Pallas_Raven's blog entry in Towards The End Sky
While dungeon crawler seems to not have many ways to tell the story, it didn't mean that it's not possible to tell very interesting story. In fact, Atlus manage to do this with Persona series and Metaphor with the latter got the Best Narrative award in Game Awards 2024, and the success of Persona did make Atlus interested to improved the narration in their main series, Shim Megami Tensei, starting from V. Also while I can keep saying that Atlus like to keep milking Persona 4 with understandable reasons, it's interesting that they can keep their narration writing. For the examples, Yumina is indeed have dungeon crawler element in which it's to help the player grinding in order to preparing the debate, although ultimately it's not quite as efficient seeing it drain skill usage and the event battle outside the dungeon offer more experience, at least according to my experience (It's still necessary to complete the dungeon though if you want to get the true ending). For Labyrinth of Refrain, it's the same trick that NISA did use in Disgaea, which is basically the same thing as dungeon crawler even with the gameplay is SRPG. For more examples of the VN that combined dungeon crawler and VN, there's Dohna Dohna with the player need to go to the dungeon in order to kidnap a woman so they can sell it as the prostitute. For another example, there's Sakura Dungeon with surprisingly interesting gameplay thus earned it as the best rated Sakura VNs on VNDB at 6.6 which is very high for Sakura series VN that usually has average score below 6. That's all for what I can write in regard of this topic. -

Dorama of the Year 2001-I Winter - Strawberry on the Shortcake
kivandopulus posted a blog entry in Dorama of the Season
Strawberry on the Shortcake wrecked me hard. Another small masterpiece is Hero . 1. Hero [ヒーロー] (Finished 1/11) Tags: Mystery, Comedy, Law Kohei Kuryu is a former juvenile delinquent who drops out of junior high and goes on to earn a high school equivalency diploma. After passing the law board exams, Kuryu becomes a prosecutor. Not your typical prosecutor, which is quickly seen through the clothes that he wears, Kuryu possesses quick instincts and a kind of cleverness that only someone raised on the streets could have. Maiko Amamiya is a shrewd paralegal who has her eyes set on passing the exam to become a public prosecutor and tries her best to be noticed by her boss. Kuryu, on the other hand, after earning a reputation for doing top-notch work, is transferred to Amamiya's division and finally opens his eyes to the possibility of promotion. Unfortunately, his unprecedented work behavior abruptly brings things to a halt. Although earning a reputation as a bad apple, the influence of Kuryu's strong pursuit of justice slowly begins to change things around him. This drama is filled with it all; love, laughs and lots of emotion. One of two lawyer series that I liked from the past. Nice cast and humor. This is the maximum score I can allocate to half-detective. Overall Rating: 7/10 2. Kabachitare! [カバチタレ!] (Finished 1/11) Tags: Comedy, Law Tamura Nozomi is a woman with a cheerful outlook in life, always choosing to believe in everyone. Sakaeda Chiharu is an amanuensis (daisho) who goes way beyond her job scope in carrying out her work. The duo met in a clinic where Sakaeda helps Tamura get back at her boss for sexual harassment. Sakaeda sees a flair in Tamura to be in the same line of work, but Tamura is content with her job as a waitress. In the drama, they are portrayed as a pair of 28-year-olds who can't wait to get married. Often, you'd hear them railing at each other "dakara kekkon dekinai yo, baka!!". However, despite their differences in character, they soon become the best of friends. It's close to detective and with two FLs that I don't like. Rather silly comedy, too, so pilot is enough. Overall Rating: 5/10 3. Ladies of the Palace [여인천하] (Finished 2/151) Tags: Historical, Drama It centers on two women in the 1500s who became the most influential figures in the court: Queen Mun Jung of the Yoon family, the third Queen-consort of King Joongjong, and Jung Nan Jung, a humble-bred lady who became the queen's advisor. Nan Jung, an illegitimate daughter of a government officer, tries to find someone who can elevate her status. She chooses to become a gisaeng and start her training under the most famous gisaeng in Hanyang. Meanwhile, the King marries, for the third time, a young lady from the Yoon family, his former queen's relatives. Won Hyung, the new queen's brother, falls in love with Nan Jung at first sight and would do everything to make her his concubine. Nan Jung demands him an audience with the queen, and Queen Mun Jung and Nan Jung soon become allies to bring the court under their absolute control. Palace intrigues aren't intriguing for me. Overall Rating: 5/10 4. Shiroi Kage (2001) [白い影] (Finished 2/10) Tags: Romance, Drama, Medical Nobuko Shimura is on duty for the first time at Gyoda Hospital. The duty doctor is Yosuke Naoe. After 9pm, Jiro Toda, a childhood friend of Nobuko's, is brought in with a cut to his forehead from a fight. But Naoe has gone out for a drink, and can't be found. Both Toda and the ambulance crew become angry and demand to know where the doctor is. Naoe returns and seeing the commotion, he orders Toda be locked in a toilet until he calms down. Nobuko is horrified by Naoe' s attitude but is later impressed with his ability as a surgeon when treating Toda's injury. This is their first fateful meeting. Another unorthodox doctor. Don't see anything special. Overall Rating: 5/10 5. Beautiful Days [아름다운 날들] (Finished 4/24) Tags: Romance, Life, Drama, Melodrama Lee Min Chul returns from studying in the US, to take an active role in his father's prospering music business, Victory Records. It turns out that his father was involved in unethical practices in the past, as well as the murder of the father of Min Chul's stepbrother, Sun Jae. Into the scene comes two girls from the orphanage, Yeon Soo and Se Na, who share a sisterly bond. Se Na gets inspired to become a pop star after a visit by the Victory Records boss on a charity event. Years pass and both girls arrive in Seoul to start their adult lives. However, they get separated. Yeon Soo finds a job working at Victory Records in hopes of one day meeting Se Na again and becomes involved in the lives of the stepbrothers, Min Chul and Sun Jae. Yeon Soo and Min Chul make a deal that they will help each other's siblings. Yeon Soo moves into Min Chul's family home as a tutor for his younger sister Min Ji, and Min Chul will help Se Na achieve her dream of becoming a singer. A complex drama unfolds, Min Chul and Sun Jae both fall for Yeon Soo. Yeon Soo chooses Min Chul, but their love is threatened by numerous obstacles. Took it four long episodes to set up the stage. Looking at real psycho forcing her way as a singer is truly a horrible enterprise. Primitive provider of cheap emotions as most of the time it's such outburst whether it's violence or crying or shouting. Overall Rating: 5/10 6. Delicious Proposal [맛있는 청혼] (Finished 2/16) Tags: Food, Comedy, Romance Hyo Dong, the son of a struggling Chinese restaurant owner, falls in love with Hee Ae, who unbeknownst to Hyo Dong, is the daughter of a ruthless rival who is out to destroy his father's restaurant. Hyo Dong and Hee Ae are in the same cooking class as Shin Ae, a poor girl who dreams of owning a successful restaurant despite having a tough life. It ended up being gourmet show more than anything else. Overall Rating: 5/10 7. Strawberry on the Shortcake [ストロベリー・オンザ・ショートケーキ] (Finished 10/10) Tags: Romance, Life, Youth, Family At some point, Irie Manato began to withdraw himself from the world. Even when picked on, it's not the real Irie, but an act. However one day he meets a strange girl - Misawa Yui. Yui, who finds the tedium of everyday life unbearable, teases Manato with her almost too upfront and honest manner. Alone and afraid Manato wavers but finds himself drawn to her. But his feelings for Yui are doomed to be unrequited. Wow for so many reasons. I somehow managed to dump it in the past after seeing first episodes and ending, so former myself might be not so keen after all. Enjoyed it immensely. Hesitated between 8 and 9, but finale was superb. Can't give it flawless genius masterpiece only because it has flaws like irrational behavior despite logical words and pulls with pushes. It surprised me a lot, did not expect anything serious from juvenile romance, but here we are. Overall Rating: 9/10 8. Mukai Arata no Doubutsu Nikki: Aiken Rosinante no Sainan [向井荒太の動物日記 〜愛犬ロシナンテの災難〜] (Finished 1/10) Tags: Youth, Drama, Medical The star of the show is Rosinante, a lovable Labrador retriever whose master, a commuter train conductor, dies while Rosinante is spending the night at the impromptu weekend dog hotel a veterinary professor has set up at the university to collect a little extra cash. With a touch of the loyal Hachiko in him, Rosinante greets all the passing trains his master used to ride. Such loyalty leads Domoto to adopt Rosinante, even if it does mean getting thrown out of his apartment building and having to live in the girl's dorm. "Dear Diary, the dogs broke out of the veterinary clinic again today..." you would think was written by a person. Well, the whole story is in fact told by a dog, Rosinante, one of the inhabitants of a university veterinary clinic. Chief among his writings is happy-go-lucky yet hapless vet student Mukai Arata, who is in bliss with animals. The question is, can Arata get along with his peers and professors as well as he can with the animals he cares for? Not fond of pets, so I'm ill suitable to evaluate work where dog is protagonist. Overall Rating: 5/10 -

Denpa is not one of my favorite genres, if only because it is hard to tell whether each game will be a hit and miss for you, even if it is massively popular with others. If you play three denpa-genre games, you'll run into at least one that is completely unreadable/playable for you. Harumade, Kururu is a rather infamous example of the genre for those familiar with it and the series of 'seasons' games that came after it. The protagonist is emotionally dull and slightly psychotic, each main heroine is sincerely crazy in their own ways, and the story itself is often confusing (though it makes sense in the end). In my experience, the genre is symbolized by its internal inconsistency, which is a pet peeve of mine and also why fifty percent of the genre is unreadable for me (Subarashiki Hibi being prime amongst those, though I managed to finish it in sessions, lol). For example, the triggers for the collapse in each of Higurashi's paths don't necessarily make sense and aren't necessarily consistent with the setting. The behavior of Natsukumo Yururu's main heroine makes absolutely no sense much of the time, including her obsession with digging holes and acting paranoid constantly. Kami no Ue no Mahoutsukai's story often seems inconsistent while reading it, leading to frustration and stress, but it comes to life later. Futagoza no Paradox and Owaru Sekai to Birthday often made me scratch my head, thinking 'why did it turn out like that?' One thing that sets this kind of story apart from mystery horror like Innocent Gray's works is that there is no clear line of clues leading to an answer you want within the story itself. It is not uncommon to have no idea of the real focus of the story until near the end. There are rarely hints at what is really going on beneath the surface, and what hints are there are often deliberate obfuscations by the writer. What's worse is the cases where the writer deliberately writes the entire story in such an obtuse way that even finishing all plotlines leaves you with no idea of what was going on, lol.

Clover Day's is a good but cliché moege from ALcot that has a decent mix of humor and drama with some good H-scenes, but I think extremely predictable and cliche writing prevents it from being truly great. If you've read other ALcot titles and enjoyed them, then you'll probably enjoy this as it seems to have similar strengths and weaknesses to their other titles I've read. The characters in Clover Day's are all osananajimi, with multiple sections of the story taking place during flashbacks to 10 years prior to the current events in the story. In fact all of the choices present in the story take place during these flashbacks. I really like this approach as it gives a better sense of gradual emotions coming about rather than just falling in love with a person within the span of a few weeks. The other end of this is that I wish there was more time passing during the routes or into the epilogues than there was in most cases. Story-wise there's nothing particularly uncommon or interesting here. If you've read enough moege then no story bit will be that surprising, and most of the drama is pretty well foreshadowed, with only a few bits coming as a surprise at all. With the pacing of the story as well I feel like this is a negative as most of the drama is foreshadowed significantly before it happens, so in some routes they ended up feeling dragged out a bit. The humor present in Clover Day's is pretty heavily skewed towards sex jokes, with some slapstick being thrown in for good measure. While it was amusing at first, I pretty quickly drew tired of them as it tends to become one-note after a while, especially when binge reading like I do. I did particularly like the letters from the characters inbetween chapters of the story, which added quite a nice touch and a clear delineation between chapters. There are 27 at least partially animated H-scenes present in the game which range from decent to extremely hot depending on your personal taste. 22 Scenes are viewable via the scene replay function, and the other five are as extras through the game start menu. The systems are fairly standard as you'd expect. Music is good throughout and adds to most scenes, with the worst BGM just being neutral. Overall I'd recommend Clover Day's to most moege readers, especially if you have read and enjoyed other ALcot works or enjoy perverted humor in general. If you don't like perverted jokes then I'd stay away, because there's very little humor in the game that does not fall under that category.

This is a condensed version of the full article which can be found on my Main Blog Here. Madness In the Static We take the familiar for granted in our everyday lives so when that is undermined it disturbs us on a fundamental level and leaves us with an uncomfortable sense of wrongness. It is these feeling the Denpa genre taps into as it slowly eats away at normality and gives it over to insanity. As a subgenre of horror visual novels it is focused around creating fear, unease and dread in the player through its own distinct angle. Denpa understands the importance of build up to selling a horror experience and makes sure the baseline it intends to undermine is cohesive so its collapse can have a far greater impact. All the while there is a constant uncertainty about the reliability of the narrator who is witnessing this descent into insanity, yet they are often so certain of their correct perception it makes you almost want to believe them. This is also a genre which loves to use its horror to address themes which are not commonly dealt with in visual novels and from an angle where they have the necessary emotional impact to really sink in. Let’s watch the world slip into insanity and find out how all of this works in practice. A Familiar Insanity It is not easy to create a believable descent into insanity from a state of relative normality in the world around the protagonist. Make the change too fast and it will appear silly as the escalation does not properly match the events which lead to it as the characters’ everyday lives are grounded in a familiar version of reality. However, if it is too slow then the player will lose interest since the content they will be playing mostly consists of mundane vignettes which have little impact on their own. So the answer Denpa games have come up with is to sow the ideas of uncertainty about the characters in subtle ways over the long term. On their own they appear innocent to the point where they can be easily overlooked, but as they pile up it becomes impossible to ignore. This helps keep the player’s attention through getting them to jump at shadows just like the protagonist is doing and it maintains this source of tension until the curtain is pulled back. Once the shift from mundanity to insanity has been complete, the spiral towards whatever disastrous conclusion awaits can begin. Despite the game being more direct with the events being shown, they make sure that the player never feels in control and lean into the sense of being pulled along ever faster by a force they cannot see nor have any chance of resisting. Even here Denpa does not lose sight of the normal lives people uninvolved in the insanity are experiencing which helps call into question the legitimacy of emotions and actions of everyone else. Higurashi takes full advantage of the necessary setup of the mundane to help sell its characters and make them likeable so the contrast with their insanity is more pronounced. It places these slice of life events right next to the subtle build up of uncertainty in order to make the player not want to believe in the feelings of oddness they are experiencing about the characters they have come to care for and create a point of friction it can slowly build on. Once the madness is in full swing it can leverage the memory of those happier times as a means through which the player can continue to care about the characters even has they do terrible things to one another. On the other hand soundless A MODERN SALEM IN REMOTE AREA has a sense normal so obviously wrong and twisted it is difficult to feel safe in it and yet it still serves the same role as a source of contrast. Here the uncertainty is out in the open for all the characters to see, but the characters do not seem aware of it as they blindly try to continue their lives. The player is given a noticeably higher amount of understanding about just how many things are wrong with this place than the characters do so the player is forced to watch powerlessly as they spiral into the unseen danger. Despite this increased knowledge the game is sure to never reveal enough to make its plot twists easy to see and instead includes a few red herrings to undermine the player’s belief in the accuracy of the conclusions they have reached. Unreliable Narrators As players we inherently put our trust in the characters we control and choose to believe in the version of events they present to us, especially when they are so close to our own experiences. It is this trust Denpa exploits to further its perversion of the familiar by taking away the one point of stability the player thought they could rely on. This is not a sudden change but rather an encroaching sense that events do not quite add up, these holes build up the idea of information being withheld and the question of why enters the conversation. The protagonist will also start to behave in strange ways, they seem to lack appropriate reason for the action they take or overreact to events so as to do things far more drastic than what is called for in the situation. Each of these can be excused as a reaction to the stress they are put under as the normal world around them gives way to madness, but there is only so long that the player can hold onto this line of reasoning before the truth dawns on them. Once the player accepts the unreliability of their POV character they are forced to look into the insanity they are witnessing for answers, but in doing so they are drawn deep into the spiral towards the narrative’s chaotic conclusion. They too begin to feel the same dread and tension the characters are undergoing and with no one to fall back on they will directly feel each step towards the truth. Truth At The Edges Of Reason Being so connected to the idea of the normal way people behave and how scary it can be to have that suddenly change, Denpa can speak to deep seated emotions and thoughts about our own nature. It is easy to never think about what it means for something to be normal and simply accept what we experience without question since a ‘normal’ by its very nature never challenges. Twisting this 'normal' something unrecognisable gives a space where it can be looked at for what it truly is in its absence. Once established this examination can be used to drive whatever themes and ideas the visual novel is seeking to establish as key to the ongoing narrative. Sometimes there is value shown in the normal where it offers a place people can be themselves without issue, as with the everyday lives of the Higurashi cast. At other times it is a dangerous thing where the characters have slipped through their complacency and it brings ruin to those inhabiting it, as with the community in soundless. Another angle Denpa likes to take with this consideration is asking what sort of people choose to inhabit this 'normal' and how their reasons for deteriorating into madness reveal important aspects of the human condition. This last one is something Wonderful Everyday loves to play with through its different protagonists. Each one looks at the normal world and its descent into insanity and comes to their own conclusions about what this means and the value it has for them. These are varied from Yuki and her distress at the slow deterioration of the life she holds dear to Takuji and his unwavering belief that the world is coming to an end so the normal no longer matters. Through this comparing and contrasting of viewpoints, the commonalities between them become clear and the game asks the player what these facts tells them about themselves and humanity as a whole. It provides some answers to these questions through its endings, but leaves enough of a gap for there to be room to ponder their meaning long after the credits. Conclusion Denpa makes a strong case for the power of contrast and a subtle build up to the unsettling parts of horror. It takes the familiar sense of normality and slowly twists it over a long span of time by sprinkling just enough insanity for the player to have doubts, but not enough for them to say anything conclusive. Once the madness is in full swing the game can examine the idea of the ‘normal’ and question the value and substance it has not only for the cast, but also for the player and use this to support its core themes. Backing all of this up is the unreliable narrator where the player slowly comes to realise the extent of what the protagonist is not telling them and so lose their only rock in this river of questionable information. This is a genre of horror which seems the least scary on the surface, but is brilliantly placed to get under the player’s skin when they least expect it and leave them feeling vulnerable.

This week VNTS Review main focus is obviously the AX with Mangagamer, Aksys, and Sekai finally announced some new licenses, although compared to the past years it's not quite as robust to say it nicely, but at least it's slightly more interesting compared to the last year AX. Still, there are some nice licenses that you can picked on, especially if you're into BL VNs seeing Mangagamer has some words in regard of it. In the end, this week is ended up as quite interesting one, and let's see what I can write in regard of it. Oh yes, as for the title for this week VNTS Review, I'll tell it at PS later. For Aksys, first of all we have M (Yes it's really one letter) with it is the title from Novectacle who is very famous with Fata Morgana. From what I see, it's the mystery VN with multiple MCs in which they'll do some investigating on the murder cases. I don't know on how the VN will turned out or whether it'll be connected to Fata Morgana, but at least I know it's the only Aksys announcements that will be available on PC seeing the rest are only available on Switch. For the second announcement, we have Mystery no Arukikata with it related to World End Syndrome, and once again it's mystery VN with the casts investigate the mysterious murder that happened 30 years ago. For the last new title, we have Otome Daoshi in which it's about the female MC who looking forward to the martial art tournament dragged into the situation where some people attacked at the day of the tournament. Oh yes, both new title will be available on Spring 2026 later if you interested with those VNs. They also announce the exact release date for Mistonia, with said date will be on November 13th later. Also turned out that they'll release Uchonia earlier, with the new exact date is on September 18th later. JAST did give several updates to their backlog, although the only notable one to me are Djibril is now fully edited and Dead End Aegis fandisc is now fully translated. That, and they announced School Days Remaster in which it's made to be compatible with Windows 11. Aniplex also have announcement in regard of Type Moon VN, although unfortunately it's not Tsukihime Remake PC version but instead it's the release time of Ataraxia in which they'll try to release it at this year. Speaking of release, we also have Shiravune released the DLC for ToHeart Remake at July 2nd, so feel free to try the DLC if you want to see more of the two minor characters of ToHeart, Serio and Masashi. For fan translation update, we have usual Natsu no Ame update with the translator already translate 30% of it. Like I say earlier, Mangagamer has some words in regard of BL VNs. For the first one, it's about Luckydog1 in which they finally have the Steam store page of it, so hopefully it mean the almost 10 years wait to anyone else who've been looking forward to it is almost over. For the second one, it's about their new license, Ooe, in which it's the newest BL VN from Adelta who also work on Hashihime. It's also worth to note that it's been well received on both VNDB and Erogamescape, so at least it should be interesting to a degree. For the story, it's about the MC who is a detective stranded in an ominous island with nine other males, and obviously things will go wrong seeing the set up is like Agatha Christie's And Then There Was None with the book also has 10 people stranded in an island. And sure enough, the situation getting worse with the number of people in the island dropped quickly with the one who responsible for it is among the remaining people. For Sekai, we have they announced the exact release date for Harvest Festa with they'll release it in a week later (14th), although you can enjoy it now if you've been backed the Kickstarter for Rewrite. Oh yes, they also manage to release Nekopara 5 on Steam before AX, so feel free to get it from Steam if you want to. For the new title announcement, Sekai has Oniichan Continue with it has little sister heroine and they'll release the English version of it in this year with the Japanese version will be released on August 17th later. For some reason, Purple Software decided to ask Sekai to license their newest VN that will be released on September 26th later, Nandome ka no Hajimemashite, with Sekai will release Chinese version on October later and English version in February 2026 later. While the latter seems to be doubtful considering Hamidashi, this time it may be possible if we see on how Purple Software pressured Nekonyan to release Aoi Tori quicker, so let's wait and see. For the premise, it's about 30 years old MC Yumeto was somehow back into 13 years ago at his high school time, and then he encounter the big breasted upperclassman who he has no memory of. Lastly, we have two Alicesoft titles are licensed by two different publishers, which is interesting to see. For the first title, we have Mamanyonyo (Localized by Sekai) with the Mamatoto's MC Nanas created a machine that capable of summoning the characters from the other Alicesoft VNs, including Rance. I can only say that it's redundant announcement considering Sekai announce the version that we already have it translated since 2013 (Widenyo). Oh yes, the gameplay is still resemble the original Mamatoto and of course Rance IX. For the second title, we have Pastel Chime 3 with it localized by Mangagamer and currently it's been fully translated. For the story, we have the MC Kaitos was accidentally disrupt a witch's (Liliam) ritual with the consequence both Kaitos and Liliam turned younger while also released the evil spirits called Binds. Seeing no choice, Kaitos decide to help Liliam in order to amend his mistake, although turned out it's far more complicated than it seems. For the gameplay, it's SRPG with the characters can equip the Binds. Oh yes, while this is the third game, there's no need to play the previous Pastel Chime seeing each entries are standalone. That's all for what I can write in regard of this week, and see you next week. PS - For the title, seeing we have new license from Purple Software along with Pastel Chime 3 announcement, I made the parody of the latter by changing 'Pastel' into 'Purple', so we have 'Purple Chime 3'.

Only six pieces again, and no masterpiece again. I absolutely refuse to make only title that I initially finished winner by default this time though. Had to give both remaining contestants another few episodes to decide. Between family half-comedy and not especially interesting workplace comedy I like latter more as kids problems get tiresome with time - winner is Style! 1. Yamato Nadeshiko [やまとなでしこ] (Finished 11/11) Tags: Comedy, Romance, Life, Drama Jinno Sakurako grew up in a very poor family and is thus determined to marry a rich man so that she will never have to go through poverty ever again, and is named the "gokon queen" in her quest to find her man. Nakahara Osuke is a brilliant academic (Fields prize winner - Nobel Prize equivalent in Mathematics) who gave up his studies to take over his deceased father's fish-shop. They meet through a doctor's "gokon" (group date) and she falls in love with him under the mistaken assumption that he is a very rich man. The difference between kdrama and jdrama is that jdrama only undertakes horrible concepts when can get awesome actors so that people could stay at least for those actors. Poor primitive plot, but I somehow made it to the end despite all odds - that's a miracle with all the deus ex machina thrown. Overall Rating: 6/10 2. Oyaji (2000) [オヤジぃ/Oh, Dad!] (Finished 1/11) Tags: Comedy, Drama He's the ultimate in cantankerous dads! Internist Kanzaki Kanichi, father of three, is a meddlesome know-it-all. He lectures not only his family and patients, but even strangers' children, and young lovers kissing on the street. His kids are on the verge of rebellion, but fortunately, their mother Miyako keeps them mollified. I've developed a serious dislike towards Tamura Masakazu and his eternal authority position roles. But this one is his worst among the worst, truly unbearable... Overall Rating: 5/10 3. Namida wo Fuite [涙をふいて] (Finished 5/11) Tags: Drama Onishi Katsuo is a 35-year-old carpenter and former college football player who sees life almost in the same balance as a football game (guts and glory along with team spirit). One day he learns that his friend (a college football teammate) was killed when his house burned down. His friend's wife is in a coma and his four kids are now homeless, Eguchi has the children live with him (in his one room apartment) above his bosses home. At first, the children are still traumatized by what has happened, but if anything can help them regain hope, it's Katsuo's caring and energetic spirit. Better than expected, but I still can't answer why I should countinue to watch it. Initially wanted to drop it after third episode, but gave it couple more episodes as a second chance - all those kids problems weren't quite interesting. Overall Rating: 6/10 4. Love Complex (2000) [ラブコンプレックス] (Finished 2/11) Tags: Psychological, Comedy, Drama Someone has been stealing money within the company and the fingers are pointing to seven beautiful secretaries. Each who look so pure (well some of them) but at the same time, each can have a motivation for stealing the money. The company hires Ayumu and Go to find out who is stealing the money. Another foolish setting for those who did not have enough of Shomuni. Nonsense under cover of pseudoinvestigation. Overall Rating: 5/10 5. Style! [スタイル!] (Finished 5/10) Tags: Comedy It's about life in a department store. Its stars Motoki Masahiro and Takeuchi Yuko. Motoki heads a personal shopper's department. This department recommends shopper's what to wear at no extra charge. The management wants to remove the department so people in the special department tries it's best not to be removed. Lots of humor, sometimes funny and heartwarming. Workplace SOL comedy, huh. Little in the story department, but personalities and interactions are nice, so it probably deserves a better score, but at times like this if I don't want to continue I just don't. Overall Rating: 6/10 6. Manatsu no Merry Christmas [真夏のメリークリスマス] (Finished 4/10) Tags: Romance Ryo is a former professional boxer who becomes a collector for a loan shark. He grew up in an orphanage in Okinawa Prefecture with heroine Haru, Natsumi, an aspiring actress, and two others. One of them is now a lawyer who has had to bail Ryo out and the other a lucky young woman adopted by a rich family. Haru, too, was adopted and has never once left the island where she grew up. When her adopted mother dies, she decides to go to Tokyo to find the old group. Being naive to the ways of the modern urban world, she almost ends up being sold off into the sex industry as soon as she sets foot on Tokyo's fair shores, but Ryo comes to her rescue. It goes so slow and pretty much nothing happens ... water and more water... guess could go on if liked leads or their roles, but I don't. Overall Rating: 5/10

Dorama of the Year 2000-III Summer - Summer Snow
kivandopulus posted a blog entry in Dorama of the Season
Summer Snow was the only finished dorama this season for me 1. TRICK [-] (Finished 1/10) Tags: Thriller, Mystery, Psychological, Comedy Although 23-year-old Yamada Naoko is a talented illusionist, she is continuously fired from jobs and constantly hounded by her landlady for the rent being late. She refuses to give up her unusual vocation as she wants to follow in the footsteps of her famous magician father who died when she was a child. But her life changes after being fired again for lack of stage presence, when her boss shows her an advertisement of a challenge made by physics professor Ueda, A non-believer of all things "magical," miraculous, or mystical, he offers prize money to anyone who can prove to him that their supernatural powers are real and not trickery. Desperately needing the money, Naoko accepts the challenge, and Ueda quickly falls prey to the simple magic trick she performs, which he cannot figure out. Impressed by her ingenious explanation, he enlists Naoko to help him uncover what tricks and illusions are being used by a local cult to gain control over followers and their money. Their hilarious antics, along with those of police officer Yabe, lead them on to further mysteries they must solve with their skills, no matter how supernatural or spooky the circumstances may appear. Supernatural mystery is too darn alien to me. Overall Rating: 5/10 2. Ai wo Kudasai [愛をください] (Finished 3/12) Tags: Music, Life, Youth, Drama A nursery school teacher is trying her best to overcome her traumatic past despite the bullying of other teachers and parents who keep insinuating she is incapable of doing the job because she was not raised properly herself. Three episodes in, and there's still nothing but whining and crying under same cycled song - got tired of it. Overall Rating: 5/10 3. Summer Snow [-] (Finished 11/11) Tags: Romance, Life, Drama, Family A love story between a young man who has been forced to grow up too quickly and a young woman with an ailment that has placed restrictions on her life. Natsuo has been looking after his younger brother and sister since the death of their parents. He has also been running the family bicycle shop. Yuki becomes the only person in the world in whom he can confide. For Yuki, Natsuo becomes the catalyst that has her trying to break out of her cocoon. I was hooked since could not understand where story was going with five juvenile heroes, then stayed since it was a nice adult cohabitation of several persons. Made it to the end only thanks to play of ML Domoto Tsuyoshi and partly to side line of imouto. At the same time play of FL Hirosue Ryoko did not look natural to me. Series already failed to feel like the masterpiece by the time stupid omnipotent terminal condition bomb broke out. Only finished by inertia. Finale deserves a total whole another point penalty, tbh. Overall Rating: 6/10 4. Mr. Duke 신귀공자 [신귀공자] (Finished 3/16) Tags: Comedy, Romance Soo Jin is the beautiful daughter of a rich enterprise owner, President Jang. She was tricked into returning to Seoul from studying abroad as her father wanted her to get married. Soo Jin couldn't stand her father's matchmaking candidates and concocted a scheme with her secretary Park Ae Ja to hire someone pretending to have all the qualities that her father wanted. They ended up having Kim Yong Nam to be someone he was not; well educated, rich and sophisticated. But in reality, he is a water bottle delivery man and is neither rich nor educated. The only thing he has is a good heart. Typical early primitive kdrama built purely on contrast of rich vs poor, comedy is corresponding. Overall Rating: 5/10 5. Hanamura Daisuke [花村大介] (Finished 1/12) Tags: Business, Comedy, Law A comical look at the Japanese legal system. Big corporate law firm seeking to increase their profit margin notices that a lot of the partners spend a lot of their time on cases which don't bring in a lot of revenue. They decide they need to hire an average lawyer, at a minimal salary, that will take care of these small cases and not complain. That's why the law firm hires Hanamura Daisuke to handle these minor cases. Daisuke's approach to the law is very unique, and the way he handles each case is very entertaining. Everything is pretty much as expected - nonsense cases, similar solutions, so-so comedy. Overall Rating: 5/10 6. Autumn Tale [가을 동화] (Finished 3/16) Tags: Romance, Drama, Melodrama Yoon Joon Suh and Yoon Eun Suh grew up as siblings but Eun Suh was in fact from a different family as there was a mix up at the hospital where she was born. The switch came to light when Eun Suh was involved in a car accident and it was discovered that her blood type was different from her parents. Eun Suh's life took a complete turn when the 2 girls were returned to their respective families. Soon after, the Yoon family left for the States and Eun Suh was left living in sordid condition with her real family in Korea. Years after, Joon Suh returned to Korea and by chance the two former siblings were reunited. So melodramatic as if they wanted to get an achievent for collecting all the typical melodrama tropes. This is not the experience that I can appreciate. Overall Rating: 5/10 -

Anime of the Year 2025-II Spring - Ling Long 2nd Season
littleshogun commented on kivandopulus's blog entry in Anime of the Season
Well I didn't pay attention much of Spring 2025 anime besides IdolPC and some other, although I can say that Maebashi Witch is a bit dramatic. Anyway, I'll just comment on the anime from the past season here. Himitsu Aipri - If I remember right it's been some times since Pripara series made, and Aipri was aired in Spring 2024 with it got the second season in Spring 2025. From what I see, it's about Himari together with her childhood friend Mitsuki do their best as VTuber in the virtual world, and of course there'll be concert at each episode as per usual Pretty series. Eventually, the series did put some focus into their new friend that they encounter inside the virtual world, Tsumugi with the duo join with her perform as the trio. Dandadan - We'll going to have its second season in this summer. As for the story, we have Momo who is the infamous girl and didn't believe in alien, and then she met a boy, Ken, who didn't believe in ghost. With opposing interest, they decided to prove their claim is right only for both to become their antithesis (Momo gained her psychic power while Ken got possessed by a very strong ghost). From there, the duo start to find themselves involved in strange phenomenon, be it caused by the alien or by the ghost with the duo need to do their best to get through it. Of course, being the boy and girl, eventually both Momo and Ken was in relationship, although the anime obviously still not cover it yet. Amagami Sisters - I saw a xeet on Discord where the author of this tried his best to learn from his masters mistake on said master's past work (Gotoubon) with the author allowing the MC to propose to all of the three girls with the manga is about to be ended, and as I can see the author did manage to balance the three girls development very carefully. For the story, we have the MC Uryuu who can't believe in god want to be a doctor, and he stay in Amagami shrine where he'll build the relationship between the three sisters who works as the shrine maiden. While at first the relationship between Uryuu and the sisters starts at rocky place (Especially with the middle sister), eventually he manage to have good relationship and made the sisters fallen in love with him. That's all for what I can comment in regard of Spring 2025 anime here. -
Dorama of the Year 2000-II Spring - Densetsu no Kyoshi
kivandopulus posted a blog entry in Dorama of the Season
No masterpieces again since number of pieces is still too small. Densetsu no Kyoshi is the only drama this season that I watched to the end and that was inventive enough that I considered it as a masterpiece for some time. 1. Tenki-yoho no Koibito [天気予報の恋人] (Finished 2/12) Tags: Romance Yano Katsuhiko, a weather forecaster who is divorced and is introduced by his friend, Taguchi to popular radio DJ Yukawa Sachi aka "Love Specialist". Yano recalled seeing pictures of her before but the person he actually saw is Sachi's friend, Yujin. Sadly, pretty banal. Both weather forecast and secret identity love specialist workplaces turned out only cringy. Not seeing anything prominent here. Overall Rating: 5/10 2. Shomuni Season 2 [ショムニ 2] (Finished 1/12) Tags: Business, Comedy It continues where it left off when the female employees from GA-2, deemed "the graveyard of all female employees" for its inane daily job routines of changing light bulbs, using toilet rolls and organising flower appreciation nights, saved the company in the final episode of Shomuni. However, Manpan Corporation has changed. The multinational company is now run in a totalitarian fashion. Closed circuit cameras are placed in every nook and cranny of the company to monitor the daily routines of employees. Even the basins in the toilets are not spared (though, obviously, the cubicles are) from scrutiny. This is a result of the Personnel Department, led by the evil Terasaki and Nonomura, who are (again) seeking to find a reason to save up on the company budget. Sequel. Overall Rating: 6/10 3. Bus Stop (2000) [バスストップ] (Finished 2/12) Tags: Romance, Life, Drama Naoko finds her life at cross-roads, as her career unravels after an unsuccessful project results in her demotion from marketing to data management, and her lover-cum-boss, Yanagiba Toshiro has left her to move to New York. When her life feels like it is at its lowest point, she meets Uchimura, a bus driver whose carefree yet caring approach makes her rethink her life's direction. When Toshiro unexpectedly returns to Tokyo, she finds herself caught between the two totally different men in her life. Love at the first sight from one side and impenetrable fortress from another side is so typical. Can get an extra point for rarity of optimistic ML and quite fine FL, but overall level is low with all kinds of fatefull stuff flying around. Overall Rating: 6/10 4. Yasha [夜叉] (Finished 1/11) Tags: Action, Thriller, Mystery, Sci-Fi Twin brothers, created in a lab as part of a gene-altering experiment, were born with supernatural abilities and exceptional intelligence but separated at birth. Sei becomes a top biochemist in America and is sent to a Japanese island to investigate a mysterious virus. There, he discovers his twin, Rin, whose dark nature contrasts sharply with his own. As they finally meet, questions arise: why were they separated, who created them, and how is the virus connected to their origins? Murder investigation mystery is already outside my plate, and all the suspence like mystery over cloned twins and confusion specially cast everywhere only bring negative emotions to me. Overall Rating: 5/10 5. Ikebukuro West Gate Park [池袋ウエストゲートパーク] (Finished 1/11) Tags: Action, Mystery, Comedy, Crime This story follows a young man named Makoto, who lives in Ikebukuro West Gate Park, an area known for youth delinquency and gangs. In fact, one of Makoto's best friends from high school, Takeshi, is the "king" or leader, of one such gang, called the G-Boys. Makoto is known for being tough and smart, and while trying to solve the mystery of a friend's death, he finds himself a somewhat unwilling helper in many mysteries and problems of IWGP inhabitants. All the while, gang tension is mounting between his best friend's gang (which Makoto refuses to join) and a new gang, the "Black Angels". I see it as serial murder mystery first of all, so cant really enjoy it though it can be lively at times. Overall Rating: 6/10 6. Densetsu no Kyoshi 伝説の教師 [伝説の教師] (Finished 11/11) Tags: Comedy, Youth A man who appears to have no particular passion for anything ironically proves effective with troubled high school students. Known as a legendary savior of problem schools, he shows up one day to salvage what's left of a class that had fallen apart completely. His highly unpredictable reactions and controversial advice to students shock the teachers and staffs much as they do the problem students themselves. A clear imitation of GTO, this time even with more grey personality of the teacher, and he also does not have that many connections to use. But it does not matter much if it's inventive, and it is. At times it felt like a masterpiece, at times it did not. So I decided that would treat it as a masterpiece if remember something or someone that I partucularly liked here. And... I can't name such thing. But I can name lots of things that irritate me like role of female councilor, double protagonists, all the debt arc time wasting, episodic nature of one crisis per episode, very bland class where there can be hero of the episode, but otherwise no one shows up again, shouting a lot of time so that my head starts to acke, unrealistic nature of multiple crisis, abscence of FL, powerlessness of ML, uselessness of second ML and narration from his viewpoint... and I can still go on. This is no masterpiece. It tried to differ as much as possible from GTO while having the same concept, but being different at all cost does not mean being good. Overall Rating: 6/10 7. All About Eve [이브의 모든것] (Finished 1/20) Tags: Romance, Life, Drama, Melodrama This drama is about two girls, Jin Sun Mi and Heo Young Mi. Sun Mi had a nice childhood and grew up with lots of love from her father. Young Mi's mother left her when she was young, and her father was a drunk who has recently died. She had a hard childhood but never gave up and made it into college. Recent kdrama Truth had similar premise and human-like acting and script, but here we go again - tasteless artificial mess. Overall Rating: 5/10 8. Taiyo wa Shizumanai [太陽は沈まない] (Finished 1/11) Tags: Mystery, Medical Nao always get's into fights and does fight for his mother but eventually she dies. He is certain the hospital did something wrong which caused her death so he finds a lawyer because he wants to know the truth. While he trying to discover the truth of his mothers death he falls in love with the daughter of the hospital owner. Mystery death investigation, so staying only for pilot which is fine yet not grasping. Overall Rating: 5/10 9. Ai Kotoba wa Yuuki [合い言葉は勇気] (Finished 3/11) Tags: Comedy, Drama Tomashi village is a small village, well known for its abundance of nature and beautiful surroundings. When a development company called Funamushi plans to build an industrial waste treatment facility in the area, the villagers are unhappy with the effects it will have on the environment and seek an injunction. The village chief goes to Tokyo and finds a young lawyer to represent them in court, the one lawyer in the city who has actually lived in the village. The man, however, knows of the company's crafty lawyer, Tanomo Aboshi... Taro Akihito, a once highly renowned actor who happens to play a lawyer in a TV drama, is mistaken for a real lawyer by the villagers in a freak coincidence. He finally works up his courage to begin the fight, and they convince him to represent them. I'm generally indifferent to lawsuits theme, because ofc the issue will be won eventually, so we're supposed to enjoy the process - plot moves, circumstances and characters. Feels solid, especially from 2nd episode when seriousness vanishes and comedy starts to show up. Still I'm just not enjoying this as it's so far purely bluff and luck based. Overall Rating: 6/10 10. Kimi ga Oshiete Kureta Koto [君が教えてくれたこと] (Finished 1/12) Tags: Romance, Life, Drama, Melodrama A young autistic woman, Mayuko, who has difficulty understanding and processing human emotions, meets with a young former psychiatrist, Shinichi, who is still getting over the unexpected death of his longtime girlfriend. Shinichi begins to help her with her skills of human interaction, but as he gets to know Mayuko better, he finds that she may be helping him to remember the feelings of love that he has forgotten in his grief. Work about mentally disabled did not suit me yet another time. Overall Rating: 5/10 -

Dorama of the Year 2000-I Winter - Omiai Kekkon
kivandopulus posted a blog entry in Dorama of the Season
For my convenience purposes from now on excluding non-translated drama except special cases in addition to my usual genres exclusion or size becomes totally out of control by the end of 2000s. Failed to finish any drama this season except for taiga, so have to choose among the worst. Only jdrama are of good enough quality still, so among those I'd choose old-fashioned marriage comedy Omiai Kekkon . 1. Truth (2000) [진실] (Finished 6/16) Tags: Romance, Drama, Family Lee Ja Young comes from a poor family who lives in the basement of one of her rich schoolmates, Lee Shin Hee. Ja Young is one of the top students in her class as Shin Hee is one of the more mediocre students. On the day for college entrance exams, Shin Hee's family bribes Ja Young family into Ja Young taking the test for her. Ja Young is forced to take it for the sake of her family's future. More complications arise when Ja Young's first relationship ends due to a mistaken identity and Shin Hee's crush, Jung Hyun Woo begins to fall for Ja Young. It's still primitive and still focuses on emotional impact due to falling into extremes, but at least it starts to look sincere, so watched six episodes without the usual effort, and that's an achievement for kdrama. Overall Rating: 6/10 2. Palace of Desire [大明宫词] (Finished 7/40) Tags: Historical, Romance, Political The drama chronicles the life of Princess Tai Ping, a daughter of China's only female emperor, Wu Ze Tian. Surprisingly human-like narration despite the fact it's about palace life, so I endured it for a long time. At the same time far from masterpiece. Pretty sure heroine's voice got mimicked a lot afterwards as it still sounds better than those female ones from modern Chinese anime. Overall Rating: 6/10 3. Omiai Kekkon [お見合い結婚] (Finished 3/11) Tags: Comedy, Romance Nakatani Setsuko (Matsu Takako) quit her job as a stewardess in order to marry her boyfriend at the time, Hiroshi. But that didn't work out, and so Setsuko's parents, worried that time is passing her by, decide to introduce her to someone using 'Omiai' - a traditional Japanese meeting custom - in the hope she will marry. She meets Hirose Koutaro (Yusuke Santamaria), who is then pressured by his boss to marry Setsuko after a misunderstanding promises to bring shame on their families. Initially, the two are clearly not interested, but gradually, they begin to respect each other. Another parody comedy around marriage that gets old pretty fast, at least with this lighthearted approach to everything. Overall Rating: 6/10 4. Beautiful Life [ビューティフルライフ] (Finished 1/11) Tags: Romance, Drama Kyoko, a young woman with an unhindered spirit despite being physically bound to a wheelchair due to illness, and Shuji, a stylish and popular fashion magazine hairstylist, are brought together in a fateful traffic incident. Despite their confrontational meeting, they soon find themselves falling in love, with Shuji drawn to her courage and enthusiasm and Kyoko attracted to his ability to look beyond her physical limitations and into her heart. However, Kyoko's protective older brother and her worsening condition begin to test the bounds of their love for each other and threaten to end their beautiful life together. Both leads are constantly playing the very same role, and it's tiresome when both are this way with nothing new bound to be played, plus physical disability does not make things better, so result was predictable. Should taste better without accustomed flavor, but can't help it. Overall Rating: 6/10 5. Aoi Tokugawa Sandai [葵~德川三代~] (Finished 49/49) Tags: Historical, Drama The 39th NHK Taiga Drama is Aoi Tokugawa Sandai. It is James Miki's dynamic and colorful tale of three generations of the Tokugawa dynasty from its founder Ieyasu to Iemitsu, the third Shogun who solidified the Tokugawa power base. Absolutely horrible. The concept of presenting three generations of shoguns was doubtful, but creators did not even bother to present it in an interesting way - just poured nearly a hundred of different characters together, lots of water and zero direction. The outcome is eternal antics and overreactions of not even charismatic enough actors as well as total mess. Showing things like airplane bombing carelessly while talking about territories is a small thing, but for things like that breaking the fourth wall it all looks like circus with clowns. Overall Rating: 5/10 6. Nisennen no Koi [二千年の恋] (Finished 1/11) Tags: Romance, Crime, Drama Yuri Maroev is a secret agent and assassin from the Ural Republic sent along with his brother on a mission to Japan. Once in Japan, he meets systems analyst Mashiro Rieru and uses her high-level security access to get top-secret information from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. His pretense of romance turns into genuine feelings of love, as Rieru falls deeper into the intricacies of Yuri's fateful covert operations. All this superagent stuff is excessively pretentious and artificial, that does not allow me to enjoy it. Shame, really, as I have nothing agaist these leads. Overall Rating: 5/10 7. Brand [ブランド] (Finished 3/11) Tags: Business, Romance, Drama Imai Miki plays Midori, a fashion industry executive who is dedicated to her job but beginning to wonder if she is not missing something in life. Company colleague and former lover Yoshida Eisaku suggests she needs a husband and children and appears ready to take on the assignment. But Imai insists it is a deeper, more internal question like: "Why was I born and what am I supposed to do in this life?" Little does she know she is about to meet Koichiro, the heir to a tea ceremony empire and a young man who has had all those questions answered for him since birth. The young son of a famous Japanese tea family returns to Japan after several years abroad only to deny inheritance of the family business to work at a famous clothing company called "Dior." After falling in love with a much older woman who works at the clothing company, he finds himself after trying out other lines of work. Mediocre and even slightly cringy with everyone constantly asking about purpose of life and then making silly spontaneous decisions out of the sudden, let alone the very fact of tea ceremony weird business. Overall Rating: 5/10 8. Kinyoubi no Koibitotachi e [金曜日の恋人たちへ] (Finished 1/10) Tags: Romance Madoka is transferred to the secretarial pool when the company goes through restructuring. It's a letdown after being in the busy Sales Department, but Madoka tries to find her place there. She meets and falls in love with Haruki, a security guard, but trouble rears its head in the form of Kaori, Haruki's ex-girlfriend. Typical in everything and not captivating in any way. Overall Rating: 5/10 -
Slowly continuing One Piece. I finally reached episode 10. This anime is very fun. It even made me care deeply for characters that will probably never appear again.

Need help with the following VN engines
kvokkka replied to Kuroneko30's topic in Fan Translation Discussion
1. Both games has English release 2. Ikura GDL archives can be unpacked/repacked with https://pixeldrain.com/u/H1WfsdvU but you may encounter problems with actual editing texts, because scripts are compiled 3. Looks like this is A98SYS that used in Black Bible. You can check some tools here https://github.com/RikuKH3/bblack_transkit -
UPDATE: I managed to make it readable thanks to these 2 wonderful people and now the project is machine translated. This game is more of a story based game of CUFFS early games.

Welcome to this week VNTS Review. For the title, because we have Visual Arts finally released Summer Pockets Reflection Blue after several years of waiting, I decided to make reference to Blue Reflection Ray anime, with I add the word 'Ray' after Summer Pockets so we have 'Summer Pockets Ray'. As for this week, there are two releases, although I can't say that I find those releases interesting to me. Other than the releases, we also have Shiravune released the DLC for Hentai Prison. Overall, this week is another average one and let's see what I can write in regard of it. Visual Arts finally released Reflection Blue, and as it turned out the reason on why it took so long is because they decided to port the engine. Apparently the Steam version has some critic in regard of the censorship so much it was review bombed by Chinese players, although in the end it didn't matter to me because the release is redundant seeing Alka already released the translation patch for Reflection Blue way back in 2022 with it didn't have some censorship stuffs that people concerned about. Still, feel free to get the Steam version of Reflection Blue if you want to, and have fun. I know that ToHeart is an iconic VN together with Kanon, although obviously it would be outdated by today's standard. So obviously the developer decided to do the experiment with the graphic with they used full 3D instead of 2D, and let's just say that it looks not too bad although obviously there are some who think otherwise. Anyway, ToHeart story is pretty much usual charage with the MC Hiroyuki tried his best to get a girlfriend from one of the girls in his school, and it's up to player to chose which girl that should be Hiroyuki's girlfriend. Note that the remake didn't have the sex scenes, and it's because they remade the 1999 version which apparently was said to be definitive version of ToHeart. Go get ToHeart Remake if you want to play it and didn't mind the lack of the sex scenes, and have fun. Shiravune also has two DLC announcements. For the first DLC, they just released the additional route for Hentai Prison (Himeru), which is very notable seeing they didn't release the additional DLC for Nukitashi yet. For the second DLC, they'll release the additional DLC for ToHeart Remake on July 2nd later with it'll be focused on two minor characters in there (Serio and Masashi). Frontier Works announced the new VN, The Aquarium Does Not Dance, with the VN created using RPGMaker. For the story, it resemble Sounds of Drop with the female MC come into the creepy aquarium, in which said female MC, Suze, visit the aquarium with her best friend only to have her best friend disappeared inside of it. Determined to find her best friend Suze wanders into the aquarium, although her mission will be difficult seeing the aquarium overrun by the gruesome creature called Creepy with Suze need to be very careful if she didn't want to be dead. In case you want to get it, it'll be released on August 1st later so you can note the date. Lastly for fan translation updates, we have Shin Koihime Musou is at three quarter edited and Natsu no Ame is at 20% translated. That's all for what I can write in regard of this week VNTS review, and see you next week.
