Well, I'm curious where the story goes for the group of students, but I'm assuming it won't go anywhere nice judging by the tone so far. If there's anything I really like about the VN so far, it's the awesome OST. And the writing is great, but it murders me with the history politics. If it makes you feel any better if you can read Chapter 1 you'll be fine with the rest of the game, while the writing doesn't get any easier, it won't get *much* harder, either, afaik. Infodumps, Tsurugi battles and politics will always be there. @ what you wrote in the spoiler: well he's kinda on the cover/boxart so not much of a spoiler at all. The narration's point of view will change to other characters from time to time.2 points -

I feel so trolled. What's worse than being forced to use IE at work? To try to open a vndb link, and the web's title to be "Your browser sucks" with a square of text saying "Sorry, we are too lazy to support your browser."2 points -
The way the comment section works has always bothered me. Leaving all comments from everyone in the same box, with one person being able to edit or delete all other comments really sounds bad to me. Couldn't we make it different?1 point

<3 Astro <3 This just came in the mail today, saw it when I got home from some stuff in the morning. Such Yume, such Da Capo II. Thanks so much for ordering this for me and I thought I'd just share this experience with everyone. Thanks again Astro.1 point

Completed Rui wa Tomo wo Yobu. It was great, honestly many times the jokes and references went over my head. The prologue was exhausting to read but manageable. But other than that it was an awesome ride. The writing, story, comedy and characters are really nice. The circle of friends is really well made. I've seen similar stuff, but this is really well done. The focus on curses and the problems that the heronies get from those. You might connect it with Sharin no kuni and the shackles of 'obligations' which existed there. Personally I found it more connected to real life. People everyone are usually messed up one way or another. The curses make the heronies in a major messed up psychologically. Example: 'I can't make a promise about the future'. Might be compared to 'I don't want to take a serious decision about the future.' There are lot's of other thoughts I found interesting as well that came up in the vn. Honestly too many for me to write up. I can understand why some would consider this a masterpiece. I didn't enjoy it that much though. I'd prbly score it under ~9, not entirely decided on that yet. Why I won't score it better, I find it somewhat hard to put my finger on. I suppose it's because the heroine routes of the vn, wasn't really as good as the common. If it had the same quality. I'd give it max I would imagine. And the best girl in the vn was~~ As for what to read next. Eeehh. I am thinking completing some of my not 100% completed vn's. Meikyuu after stories, tokyo babel and Drapeko. I'll likely read quite randomly.1 point -
Nisekoi Discussion (Spoilers)
Nagisa_Fawkes reacted to zarathos_omni for a topic
Man u have no idea how happy i am to find this thread, i dont know why but in most other places there is so much hate for nisekoi that it makes me feel sick. Back on topic... i get the feeling that the author will be under so much pressure in the end that he might just choose a harem ending like TLR. Although im personally more interested to find out how the relationship with the chosen one progresses rather than finding out who he chooses since that is something barely any romance manga ever touches. oh and chitoge for the win!!1 point -

Free Fuwa Membership Cards
krill reacted to OriginalRen for a topic
These membership cards, and pardon my language here, are pretty damn fucking incredible. Mind if I snag one as well if you're still at it? Username: OriginalRen Title: Glorious Entertainer Avatar: Gender: Male Birthday: June 17th Favorite Visual Novel: Steins;Gate Card Basis: Anything related to the visual novel Cocoro@Function! I don't really mind what is taken from it, be it thematic stuff or characters, but something unique would be nice. If any character were to be put on the card I would say Shirakusa Ibuki or Shirakusa Mebae, though like I said, a mix of stuff is fine. Only other note I can think of is the case sensitivity on the names and Steins;Gate title. It is supposed to be a semi-colon. Thanks again!1 point -

done And, new question: 憑き物が落ちたっていうのは、こういう時に使うのかな。 what is this sentence talking about? Summoning evil spirits? Also, different question: how should I translate this pun on 萌える/燃える? 「わかりました、わかりました!わかりましたから、そんな潤んだ瞳で見ないで下さいよ……萌えるじゃないですか」 「も、燃える?」1 point -

When I returned from the washroom to the living room, the water had just finished boiling. And then, taking out the cup and teapot I just unpacked yesterday, I pour in the hot water to blanch the tea. After warming the tea leaves for a few seconds, I discard the hot water and deposit the leaves into the teapot. From there, I lightly mix the tea with some more hot water. All that's left now is to wait.1 point -

Don't worry about it - that's what this thread is for. As for the line, you pretty much have it. 乱立[させ] is causative and basically means something is being done to someone or something else. きゃいけない is short for ければいけない, so it should be more like... "It's not big enough to need to be...". I don't know the context, but it sounds like the speaker might be using 広大 to describe the land, but in a sense be referring to the community...? (If that makes sense).1 point -

I played Amairo Islenauts - it was a great game. You seem to be getting the general meaning, but there are some parts that do not seem to be correct. The part about the government is not connected to the first part of the sentence - they are two separate clauses both describing the elevator. 日本の技術力の向上と、諸外国へのアピールもあって = The elevator has Japan's latest technology, and the elevator itself appeals (as a landmark) to many foreign countries. 政府も力を入れているらしく、安全性はかなり高いと評判だ = People say that the government seems to have put a lot of effort into making it safe. そうして日本と繋がることにより、世界の人々にも受け入れられていくことに、そう時間はかからなかった。= And by connecting it to Japan, it came to accept various people around the world in no time. The last time I checked, the place was less of a pavilion and more of an inn/bar. EDIT: I just checked the character page, and the place indeed is a tavern/bar.
