  2. So, I honestly don't even know where to begin with this post or how to structure it effectively. I've given so many thank you messages to all sorts of Fuwanovel members that it hardly seems like this will be any different. Still, I feel like I need to write something because even to this day I don't think a lot of people understand how thankful I am for all of the patience and amazing people on and around this website. Truth be told, I am a pretty lazy person when it comes to keeping a lot of my obligations for the site of Fuwanovel. Maybe that's why a lot of people gave up on the games I was running awhile back. Dealing with stress is hard to deal with because a lot of promises were broken when I started piling up a lot of shipments for giveaways that I wanted to get done a lot earlier in the year. Does my personal life and figurine collecting play a major role in that? Of course it does, but it's not like I was trying to do that from the get go - I genuinely do feed off other people's happiness, and it has and always will be my intention to make members of this site (both old and new) happy. Still, all of you stuck by me in the end, and to this day you still accept me as a highly regarded member of this site. It feels selfish really. Is it fair to let people think so highly of me in certain instances? Not everyone likes me and my attitude, but even through all of the fooling around and trolling I do with long time veterans of this site, I still love a lot of these people like family. So with that said, I wanted a way to thank all of you once again for always sticking by my during my time of need and for always, always supporting me. For those of you wondering what is up, I have decided to leave Japan and end my job a little earlier than anticipated in order to pursue further education (in October to be exact). In addition, being near my family during a certain time is also something I really want to be doing. Because of that, I thought it would be a good chance to say thank you. So here it is, a list to all of those I cannot thank enough on and around this website. Thanks again Fuwanovel. If your name is not on this list, please don't get the wrong idea. There is no particular order for this list; I just wrote names as they came to my head. Nosebleed: Down: KosakiFag: Eclipsed: Flutterz: Kaguya: solidbatman: Ceris: Zenophilious: Zakamutt: nohman: Clephas: Decay: Tiagofvarela: Kendjin: Rooke: Emi: Funyarinpa: Deep Blue: Satsuki: Kurisu-chan: madvanced: Monmon: Nayleen: Nyancha: Mr. Meogii: InvertMouse: Life: Tyrael: Lewycool: krill: HMN: maki~chan: GetterEmperor: arakura: FruitPunchSamurai: Chewy: Kenshin_sama: Zalor: SoulJustIn: Rose: LinovaA: Narcosis: zoom909: Bolverk: Kiriririri: SieghartXx: Cyrillej1: sirjabberwock: suikashoujo: kyrt: cryofrzd: The Major: astro: Fiddle: Keisuke: Tenkuru: CLuBLioN: Ryechu: babiker: Turnip Sensei: Chronopolis: Helvetica Standard: cloudy12: Diamon: Kawasumi: jeftai: And everyone else: And with that, thank you again Fuwanovel. Thank you for being so patient with me as a member, for putting up with all the negative shit I carry, and above all, for being a place I always love coming to even in the worst of times. I love you all, and I won't ever stop saying that. See you in the future! Finally... To all of you, to every single member of Fuwanovel, I want you to know that no matter where life takes you, remember this: Fuwanovel is, and will always be, your home. I, along with many other people, am always here to support you in your dreams and hope that life takes you to stars. Thank you so much for everything.

  5. Just stumbled upon this: http://waifubartending.com/ That URL is a bit curious , but this is exactly what I mean by having your own flavor. Daring to have stylish, slightly pixelated graphics, that interlace effect, etc. I will be checking out the game soon and might drop an order if I enjoy it. Feel free to leave thoughts on the game !

  6. The demo is actually a short preview of sorts. It's still goddamn awesome. If that's how the whole game will look like, I'm completely sold. It's incredibly atmospheric, mainly because of the soundtrack, snarky writing and crisp pixel art. I could listen to that kind of music for hours. Play it, it's going to take you 10-15 minutes at most and it's well worth it. I'm going to support the devs and grab the preview. It's rare for me to make such a quick judgement based on a short demo, but that's how good VA-11 Hall-a is.

    VN translation request.

I haven't heard of any groups taking direct requests, but if you have a suggestion to make as to a game you think is good and that will be popular, I don't see anything wrong with just asking publicly here in the forum to see what the level of interest is like. Someone may know of a group that's searching for a good new project.

    Otomege with eroscenes

Seems there are quite a few more of these than I initially thought just mainly lacking translations most have translations beginning in chinese, russian, or spanish or trials in english. Other wise they are mainly Japanese until more females attempt to translate them. Chou no Doku Hana no Kusari Sakuya (15+ translation started) ljiwaru My Master, PersonA - Opera za no kaijin, (this one supposedly has a fan-translation in the works into english) Koezaru wa Akai Hana, Under the Moon, Akazukin to Mayoi no Mori, Sanzen Sekai Yuugi, Riddle Garden, Tsuki no Hikari, Taiyou no Kage, Step - futari no kankei wa ippo zutsu , Trick or Alice, Royals - itoshi no ouji -sama, Gin no Kanmuri Ao no Namida, Queen of Darkness, Yume wo Mou Ichido, Jooubachi no Oubou, Butlers, Tsubasa no Oka no Hime Cancel a Format and there's about 4 pages of titles in total if you go to the link here.

  13. I could not find a single decent looking translated Otome game (that's not BL) with h-scenes. I think The Second Reproduction has h-scenes (or at least the characters sleep together), but they're not the explicit kind so I'm not sure if that's what you're looking for. The only ones matching your criteria are mostly mobile games which, generally speaking, don't tend to be very good, but here's the list if you're still curious.

  17. Just finished my first otome, 'Cute Demon Crashers' (https://vndb.org/v17210). As a story, I'll confess it was crap (or at least, 90% of the middle was inconsequential fluff that doesn't contribute to anything) but it was nice in that way at the same time. I also vastly preferred the H-scenes to almost any VN I've read so far - the focus on the more emotional, sensual side of sex was soooo much better than 'and then we did it in like, 50 holes, and I shot a load that could fill a shot glass every single time'. Really got to get round to finishing eden* soon, otherwise Sekien no Inganock will arrive in the post and I won't for aaaages.

    Learning to play VN's

I suggest just using a walkthrough... though I do recommend playing through your first three or four big VNs without one (as long as it isn't in Japanese) simply so you can understand why you are better off with one, lol. In some VNs, bad endings are actually worth looking at, though... Fate/Stay Night being a prime example of this.

  21. Oh, I hadn't noticed Fuwanovel stopped distributing them. I'm so glad we have good Samaritans like you notice the little details. While I'm sure there are, pirates are everywhere, I don't think the average member is allowed to just spew a bunch of sites distributing illegal content when Fuwanovel prohibits it. The visual novels distributed by Fuwanovel shouldn't be accessible anymore, as far as I know, and any you see are, as the user above pointed out, likely dangerous. Edit: I should probably go to sleep, but my lack of self control won't allow me not to make this post.

  22. Thanks for the offer! Ah, also I forgot to add this in my update, but here is a video trailer for Lucid9! (I guess you could consider this as some kind of opening?) Everything is not perfect in it, and it will probably be rev later, but it should serve as a temporary video! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RmIdng31TUs

    Thank you, Rose!

Today I'm posting to let the community know that Rose has stepped down as our Community Recognition Team Leader. Time flies by pretty quickly, and it may surprise many of you to learn that Rose has been doing this job for (almost exactly) six months! My original instructions were pretty vague (something along the lines of "let's try stuff and figure out how to recognize cool projects and people around this place"), and Rose has done a great job exploring ways to do just that. During his reign he and his team put together twenty weekly forum recaps, multiple interviews, blocked a heretical pro-Scottsune piece from going up on the blog, and -- perhaps just as importantly -- looked dang sexy doing it. In addition to those notable achievements, he's a super-nice person and is quick to lend a helping hand should you ever need it. Thank you for all of your help and time, Rose. The community has been greatly improved because of your work, and we're all better and happier for having known and worked with you. Much, much < 3.

  26. You just don't get it Rooke. Some of us have been waiting 3 miserable years for another chance to bed our waifus. How would you feel if you were separated from your wife for 3 years--then when you went to the airport to finally reunite, she not only wasn't there, but you were told that her genitals had possibly been mutilated beyond recognition? AND you wouldn't be allowed to have sex with her because she's a minor?

  27. Delays are only natural in these sorts of businesses - Trails in the Sky SC translation was promised over a year ago, for example. And the censorship is a non-issue, there'll be a patch. Eh, I don't understand these things. Remember what it was like in the good old days? Where we had real problems with our games to bitch about, rather than the crap bothering the modern generation. Where instead of delays, customers would instead have to worry about developers selling them boxes with toxic goo inside, and the developers would laugh when the customers would stagger up to complain before promptly melting into a puddle on their driveway. Remember those days? And the faults in games were like an extra, omniscient enemy, forever present, ready to stuff you at any time. And there was no magical DLC, patching, hobgoblin process to fix it, you just had to live with it and come up with inventive ways around it. I remember a bug that kept appearing right before the final boss, where your Commodore 64 would crash the game, then eject the floppy right into your nuts. Then type ‘LOL’ on the screen. Then whack you in the nuts again… with the monitor. And your friends would sympathise and have these ‘cool techniques’ to fix it, like how you just had to hold the disk in with your hand. This inevitably failed when the disk blew your hand right off, and your computer grabbed that wayward hand of yours and smacked you around the head with the soggy end. And overcoming them properly was a bitch. Like you had to hike 5 miles, barefoot, in the snow, naked, to see the mystic hut of this Horahora woman. A woman with really terrible breath who kept breathing on you and pinching your cheeks, but she could cure your game’s ails with a magic potion. Except that magic potion gave the computer hives, and melted the disk drive, and then you had to explain to your Dad, when he came home, why you’re naked, missing a hand, and also why his computer has no disk drive. That was a bitch! Tsk Mosaics, honestly *rolls eyes*

  28. I'm not sure I understand your point. I tend to agree with you, maji koi is far from a masterpiece, and I've often wondered why people consider it so. That said, it's certainly not a bad VN, and there's no reason to go around insulting those who like it. Maybe it's just me, but I've never seen anyone who gets attacked for pointing out the flaws. Hell, the entire translation team got annoyed at most of S(stupid poorly written H-scenes everywhere), and most of us dislike some/many of the characters. But overall, we like the VN, other people like the VN, so we wanted to make it so people could read it. If it's not your cup of tea, that's one thing, but I don't see a reason to go around insulting those who do enjoy it.

  33. I've briefly played with Windows 10 and tried these installation methods: upgrading from Windows 8, as well as a clean install. In both cases, the Japanese fonts like MS Gothic are not installed by default in Windows 10 (despite them being included in previous versions of Windows) which means they'll need to be installed from the control panel. To do that.... 1. bring up the Start Menu -> Settings 2. click System 3. pick Apps & Features (on the left) 4. choose Manage optional features 5. choose Add a feature 6. find Japanese Supplemental Fonts and install it * This font issue is also applicable to a number of other VNs/games that depend on the supplemental fonts.
