It's meant to be used as 1 little capsule for 1 coffee, if you buy a pack of let's say 24 then you can make 24 coffee, the normal coffee "sizes" are lungo 140-110ml, expresso 40-60ml and ristreto 25-30ml, I don't of any brand of coffee that makes capsules where you can make an starbuck size coffee, you will need to use coffee grounds and another type of coffee machine for that. There are some brands that say that you can fill it like 180ml but it will be watery as shit (you will need to use 2 capsules for that) These are however really big "If you have the option to choose a brew size, choose “Small Cup” (5.25 oz.), “Small Mug” (7.25 oz.), or “Large Mug” (9.25 oz.) based on the size of your cup or mug." 9.25oz = 275ml O.o I never knew something like these existed. I use nesspresso and dolce-gusto

The size mostly determines how strong you want the coffee - the smaller the cup, the more concentrated the flavor ends up. Usually. Depends on the brand, as some have more grounds and some have less. Or you could be like me and buy a plastic reusable k-cup and buy your own coffee. If you make compost the used grounds make an excellent addition. Word of warning, if you buy fair trade or organic coffee you will never drink from a store-bought k cup again. Seriously. You find just how bitter store-bought stuff is when you get the expensive good stuff.
