  1. I thought of what the heck & signed up because well i don't know have i ever played any, tried any & own any Visual Novel games unless you count Record of Agarest War & Onechanbara Bikini Samurai Squad for Xbox 360 & online games & you may call me Cloud btw & i admit that I'm still a newbie when it comes Visual Novel games for now. I might as well & confessed that I'm a older gamer,I'm a older otaku & I'm a older Final Fantasy fan/huge fan AKA Final Fantasy nerd at my age & I'm a Hentai fan,i love hentai & i love hentai stuff & before you asked me no i don't know am in the closet or open about me being a Hentai fan,i love hentai & i love hentai stuff & i don't know yet should i stay in the closet or be open about me that I'm a Hentai fan,i love hentai & i love hentai stuff. Because i admit it can be kinda both embarrassing & awkward if anyone irl ever found out me including if anyone irl ever found out what i buy, what i love & what i have in my entire collection including my other collection i bet they'll might not or might never understand and here are 2 side notes to end it here or at least for now. 1. i do love other games, anime & manga other then Final Fantasy, adult games, eroge games, hentai games, varies visual novel games including dating sims games & otome games,i do have other games, anime & manga in my collection other then Final Fantasy and hentai & i do have other favorite characters in gaming, anime & manga other then Final Fantasy, adult games, eroge games, hentai games, varies visual novel games including dating sims games & otome games. 2. I admit that i buy,i still buy,i love,i still love,i play & i still play both the classics & modern games equally If i choose to add anything else about me so all of you know more about me don't worry i will feel free to let me know or ask & I'll gladly tell you if you want me to so I'll leave it here or at least for now & btw i still have my Pokemon,Yugioh & DBZ cards collection & some Duel Masters cards & yes I'm including my family including my parents,my friends, girls & women before any of you ever asked me :).

  2. Definitely Clannad's true end, that was shit, shit, shit.

  3. Hmmmm, there are plenty of routes for heroines that I found pretty disappointing, but there are hardly any "endings" that really took me off guard. The only one that jumps out in my memory is the true ending of Clannad. They had a powerful story about overcoming personal tragedy and putting your life together after God gives you the finger........... than they decided to commit plot suicide with a overdose of space magic. Fuck your deus ex machina Clannad.

  4. Honestly I'm a huge no no on censorship for games, HOWEVER, that's for games where the publisher/company does not let us know why the fuck they are censoring whatever the fuck they are censoring. Atlus giving us an explanation and it making sense is basically all I ask for a publisher before I buy a game. I've not bought, or bought from 3'rd party as to support the 3'rd party but not the publisher, a censored game in quite awhile unless it is explained why it was censored. It isn't hard Nintendo :|

  5. After another monthly delay, finished the third chapter of Fata Morgana, and it was awesome! It's definitely the best chapter so far. Heavy spoilers ahead. That said, this VN is extremely to my tastes at this point. I'm pretty tired of Japanese school settings, and this seems like a nice change of pace. I might not have time to continue to the fourth chapter right now, but I definitely going to finish it some day. So far 9/10, with potential to increase.

    Disappointing Endings

Well, other than Clannad (which I haven't finished btw, but saw the anime) we also have Little Busters, which also has a pretty shitty ending. It feels like Maeda just doesn't know how to end his stories. Well, recently I started to get a feeling that he doesn't even know how to write a proper story, without fully relying on 'feels'.

    Disappointing Endings

No, no, no. I'm talking pre-production of Clannad. Yukine was intended to have a romantic route with Tomoya, but it was convoluted and confusing so it was dropped in favor of the gang and family sub-route instead. Which I would have preferred having a romance route with Yukine because she is best gril in Clannad. Out of the main heroines though, I'd have to say my favorite route is Kotomi.

    Disappointing Endings

Most VN endings suck. I know that sounds like an overly generalized statement, but the fact is that VN writers just don't seem to be very good at finalizing their stories. If you make me love the characters and get interested in the story, I want an ending that is at the same level or higher than what I read in the rest of the VN...

  9. 1. Not at this time no. 2. Yes 3. Censorship 3.2: I may one day pick the game up but not upon release and not until on sale at a later date. I do not like supporting localization censorship just to get a low rating on a game to sell more copies. Because of this I often will wait until a game is either used or a lot cheaper before I purchase a game that has been censored. Why give them full price for a game when we do not get the full game ourselves? I'll likely get it far down the road but I might also just skip rebuying it and simply going with the new DQ game coming out instead.

  10. http://atlus.com/uta/truth/index.php http://atlus.com/uta/deception/index.php For those who are interested, it is true. Atlus is localizing both of these Utawarerumono VN/games. Something for yall to look forward to, eh?

Dude, i don't want to crush your hopes. But yet it's true Mages do a groundbreaking work with their Science/ADV VNs (S;G 0 is an instant masterpiece) Their cash-grab VNs based on "big" names are really bad (We don't talk about the psycho-pass VN) So don't expect anything good from it.

    Disappointing Endings

My disappointing ending was before Clannad's publishing and Yukine was dropped as a main heroine. Y u do dis, Key? Y u do dis? I wanted to KMS when I heard that she was dropped because Yukine is best gril. That's my disappointing ending. Ended before it even began. Also, there is another disappointing ending. Rem: "Show me how amazing you are, Subaru-kun." Subaru: "Rem." Rem: "Yes?" Subaru: "I love Emilia." Me: "GAWDFUCKINGDAMNIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! WHY?I YOU FUCKING CUNT! THIS GIRL IS SOOOOO MUCH BETTER THAN EMILIA!" Nuff said.

May i just say is this i never played any,i never tried any & i never own any & if any of you have any suggestions feel free to share your suggestions through PM me only if any of you wanted to but however i do play some here & there online & i honestly don't know do they count to be honest. & to be honest when i was at gamestop at 1 time i saw the game Record of Agarest War for Xbox 360 i was going to ask a question 1 of the employees there about that game since i admit when i looked at the pic shots on the back of the case it almost reminds me of Final Fantasy tactics. I thought what the heck I've bought it+it came with the soundtrack CD & i glad i took a chance & tried it & i love it became 1 of favorite games for Xbox 360 & sometime later i forgotten when but i saw the game Onechanbara Samurai Squad on a gamestop site it looked fun & it looks like a good game so i bought it & i admit it's also 1 of favorite games for Xbox 360 too as well & i don't know Dead Or Alive Xtreme 2 count so i leave that off all i will say is it's also 1 of favorite games for Xbox 360 too as well. Like i just said if you don't mind i like to say it one more time i never played any,i never tried any & i never own any & if any of you have any suggestions feel free to share your suggestions through PM me only if any of you wanted to so there you have it that's my story so far :). & as a side note here are my systems i have so far in my collection for those of you who are wondering what systems do i own so far & they are as follows PS2,Xbox 360,PSP3000,Gameboy advance,Gameboy color,NES,PS4 & i don't know does it count so I'll include Mini NES.

  19. So, I finally watched those last two Slayers episodes. 8/10 It tried. It tried really hard to slip into my 9/10 category, but in the end, its serious parts are still too cringy for me to handle. I'll give it credit for the great humour in the last couple of episodes, and I'm game to proceed to the next seasons sometime. I think the other problem I had with this one has everything to do with the inconsistency between the characters abilities and powers. One episode a certain character is really powerful and another they're nearly powerless. The comedy exacerbates this issue, actually. For the sake of gags our main protagonist is presented as all-powerful against most everyone and everything, but some episodes, for the sake of plot, all she's able to do is tie them down for a bit or maybe she even loses.* Egregious examples are when she's shown to be able to tackle a group of ogres with ease on one episode, but on other episodes similar groups of monsters are presented as large threats; or when she deals with a mage that gives her a lot of trouble on some episodes, but is easily handled on others. It's kind of similar to the typical shounen situation where the hero keeps getting stronger but the stakes just get higher and higher and the "most powerful foe" you handled last episode doesn't even compare to the "most powerful enemy" you have to deal with this episode. Add to this that the rules of magic they use were never properly explained, and it's a really big problem. I found myself incredibly surprised when a character said "don't exhaust/waste your magic power" when up to that point there hadn't even been a mention of such a thing, and after that point I saw no more mentions of it. Credit where credit is due, they do explain some rules for magic, but nothing that helps me discern why her power is so lacklustre when she's so supposedly powerful. She knows a lot of magic, she can cast some of the most powerful spells... Now someone tell me why every Average Joe mage she encounters, unless its for comedy, poses a threat to her? *There are also a couple of episodes where she lacks power, but those are justified by the plot. I'm talking about all the other occasions. Concurrently I also started and finished Genshiken. 9/10 I'll be honest, I still haven't figured out its genre. It might be a romantic comedy of sorts, despite so not focusing on romance. I started this anime thinking it'd be a simple slice of life and... I was clearly mistaken. This is a comedy. This is definitely a comedy, and maybe even a romcom. It might be slower-paced than the typical 50 gags per minute, but it's indubitably a comedy. Maybe. Genshiken presents us with a club for otaku college students and shows us about the (Japanese) otaku lifestyle; how accurate it is is beyond me, but it definitely dabbles in a lot of matters, from going to conventions, playing videogames and buying physical goods, to building "toy" models, watching anime, reading manga as well as cosplaying. Even eroge is mentioned (I saw Muv-Luv in there). I thought it included too much 18+ stuff and fanservice, but considering what actually sells in this market, it's probably an accurate depiction of a young adult's interests. I'd say the most interesting points were learning a bit more about the market in Japan, from the consumer's eyes (represented by the Genshiken members) and the comedy, especially the situation regarding Saki, a non-otaku who is present for most of the show as one of the members' girlfriend, as she complains about the issues of having an otaku boyfriend and slowly gets used to the otaku lifestyle she is forced to deal with. She makes for a good contrast to the rest of the members, and, by not mindlessly hating but simply being uninterested, she makes for a good character representative of the non-otaku. Finally, her personality as is is already plenty interesting, as is her relationship with her otaku boyfriend. It seems the sequel may dab in the fan production side of things, by participating in conventions as creators and organising cosplay sessions more professionally. So yes, I'm exited to continue in the near future. You may have noticed I've been using "otaku" a lot. In this case, let's say it refers to characters who like anime and manga and games and light novels and models and cosplay and such. At @Fred the Barber's recommendation I ended up also starting a finishing New Game!. 8/10 I'll just echo his thoughts. The characters may have been childish and fanservice-y and by no means a real depiction of working adults, but a lot of small details regarding the fact that they are working at an office can make a person empathise and just better the gags all around. I mean, trying to work quietly at your desk whilst, for one reason or another, a complete pandemonium seems to be taking place at your back? I can just imagine the giant sweat mark as I try to pretend it has sod all to do with me. I have enough crap to deal with without knowing what drama is going on at the office today. My issues, as usual, lie with the moments it tries to be serious, as the characters are too infantile for me to take seriously, as were a lot of their drama/problems. Nice comedy, not the best I've seen, but an excellent setting. In some ways, Working!! is similar, except it has less yuri, more episodes and more character variation. Having watched New Game!, I decided the next anime to watch would be Shirobako. New Game! gave me a very light and superficial introduction to the industry, and Shirobako will develop that a wee bit more.

  20. Just finished watching el cazador la bruja it is a sweet little story and the characters are enjoyable But in the end it felt a bit bland to be honest. Thoe main story just unfolded so slowly it even managed to bore me at times and im someone who usually likes a slow story. The series for the most part behaved episodic with little snippets of the main story being shown in each episode and this is probably what led to the story to feeling so slow. And while i generally enjoy episode shows this style with little bits of the overarching plot shown in each episode just does not seem to sit well with me. They should have gotten the main plot out of the way in the first half of the series and then go to an episodic nature or should have gone entirely episodic. Personally i almost always prefer a 26 episode series over a 12 or 13 episode series but this was one of the few times i would say 13 episodes would have made for a better series. So to sum up my opinion would be fun but bland and at times a bit boring. Next I will be starting madlax.

  21. If they only care about the dating element they are the female equivalent of the sakura crowd, they only play crap otomege for mobiles. High quality otomege such as code realize or Hakuouki are no different than VNs.

  23. Can you really call it "efficient" when the fan translation was as poorly done as it was? Quality takes time. "Fan translators are way more efficient than the publishers!" *looks at number of fan translations released this year versus official releases* Oh...

  24. That's weird... I tried translating a bit this summer, and after some fiddling I managed to get those tools working. If it's of any use here's the first 250 lines of Chapter 3 (TL'd and edited) from back then. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B1CZ2Ai5gEW-RE1GZ0x5SUNHXzA/view?usp=sharing
