What, one feature in some VN's like you'd like to see more commonly in VN's as a whole?
Chronopolis and 2 others reacted to Dreamysyu for a topic
I'd love it if more VNs tried to be more creative with their route systems instead of the usual simple formula "common route -> choose a girl -> follow a linear story to the end". It's a shame that the real potential of the genre is never used to the fullest.3 points -
Does refractory period not exist in eroge?
the tales of Sora and one other reacted to Zznbh for a topic
Every eroge I play I see the protagonist going for multiple rounds, yet here I am wondering how the hell that's possible. People that can ejaculate multiple times in a succession is supposed to be very rare, but apparently every single eroge protagonist has this ability.2 points -

It'll be quite fast. 1-Voiced protagonist. 2-A plot that doesn't revolve around a protagonist trying to fuck 5 different and equally stupid girls. 3-Tsunderes, everywhere, ditch the shit deres, and cast tsunderes, there's no Sun without tSun. 4-The ability to use a fleshlight connected to the game. 5-The ability to not use a fleshlight connected to the game.2 points -

Most respond to Alt+Enter, in my experience... the exceptions are mostly 'classics'.2 points -
Tsujidou Translation Project (By Tsurezure)
Shaun reacted to littleshogun for a topic
Yes, it was happening. As for my opinion here, this VN was look quite interesting especially it was came from the same company as Majikoi. Since here we had one dead project here, I thought to just start over with the new thread here. Anyway, just like back at HatsuKoi I'll using this thread to report Tsujidou progress from when the project begin. PS - By the way, here's the news from Tsurezure themselves.1 point -
Hi! Welcome to Fuwa! By the way, while creating a vndb account is really a good idea, you don't really have to remember every VN you've read when you create it. I'd say, add the ones you can can think of the top your head right away, and, for the rest, just add them gradually as you recall them. I do the same thing with my Mangaupdates account: while I definitely don't remember every oneshot I've ever read, I add them if I stumble upon their page and realize that I already know the story.1 point

Fuwanovel Confessions
Plk_Lesiak reacted to Ranzo for a topic
Confession. I never really listen to any of the BGM of a VN I always kind of prefer to play my own music even if I'm playing one that supposedly has really good tunes. I always feel like I can find a better song that fits the scene and for the most part I think I do pretty well. That desire has definitely added to my music library for all the times I spent trying to find a song or artist who would be good for a particular scene.1 point -
Another feature that I remember liking was in Ever 17 you could save the cgs to your computer and I think remotely make them your desktop wallpaper Oh and a way to listen back to all the BGM's you unlocked going through the story1 point

So be it. Shiratori's route finished, it was pretty meh. I've already started with Haru's route.1 point

What Video Games Are You Playing Right Now?
Plk_Lesiak reacted to ChaosRaven for a topic
Currently playing Subnautica which was recently released after a very long early access time. This game is genuinely mocking your primal fears of water. It's fascinating and terrifying at the same time. I think the last game that had me so on my toes bcause it was so scary was Amesia - The Dark Descent, and not even that is quite matching it. It's also the first survival game I ever played and feels a bit like Soma meets Minecraft. Building your own under water base is just deeply satisfying. Especially if things go wrong - like disregarding hull integrity until cracks are building and the whole base is running full of water. Or stalker fish ripping out the camera drones of your navigation room and playing catch the ball with his buddies with it. And not being aware of the huge energy consumption of spot lights and then suffocating because the life support system ran out of power was certainly one of my more creative deaths. Maybe not as terrifying as getting killed by a reaper leviathan after it turned my submarine to scrap metal, but certainly more interesting than drowning 10 meters before reaching the surface. There are lots of ways do die anyway: Suffocation, dying of thirst, starving, burning, getting cooked by a volcano, death by radiation, poisoning, getting eaten or otherwise killed by sea monsters, hull break in deep waters, etc. It's really making you paranoid.1 point -
I always run into words that I know from strange contexts that aren't exactly related to their meanings. Bugbear (d&d) and Melange (Dune) for example. I always am tempted to include them. http://testyourvocab.com/result?user=95639701 point

Tsujidou Translation Project (By Tsurezure)
-soraa reacted to littleshogun for a topic
For the confirmation, yes they planned Hoshiori just like said above. To be honest, personally I prefer them to skip the append disc and just focusing on Hoshiori. But I appreciate Tsurezure for translating the additional material, compared to Koiresort in which MDZ himself didn't translated 'Sweetest Summer' append story. PS - I'm pretty much look forward to Hoshiori after saw some review of that.1 point -

Due to very, very special circumstances involving Shuri's medical condition and constant harassment of kidnappers, Takumi is asked by the Kanemoto household to attend the prestigious Rokuroku Academy in Shuri's place. Initially only accepting due to his financial needs, Takumi slowly but surely finds himself enjoying his new life as the doppelganger of Shuri...
