I've been analysing the sexual content of VNs, what's become more common, what gets the best ratings, and what content tends to come together; and thought I'd present some of my results in a slightly different way: in a quiz! Using the extensive character database on vndb, I tracked which appearance and personality traits were more or less likely to engage in types of sexual activity, and put the results in a quiz format so you can enter the tropes and it'll tell you how the percentages diverge from the average. This is a slightly silly way to present the results, but I thought you guys might enjoy it. You can try the quiz here.

Hello everyone, I am new to this forum and from Canada. I don't typically use forums, but this one appealed to me because fan translations have always played an integral role in my life and have shaped many of my life decisions. I joined because I want to learn more about how fan translators extract, translate, and repackage text files in visual novels. I also want to know how fan translators organize the translation workflow and which tools they typically employ. Currently, I speak French and English, but I'm also learning Japanese (at a snail's pace) in my spare time, and I hope to help the community translate visual novels into English once I have reached a high enough level of fluency (I'm legit still a complete n00b at the language). I hope that I can learn from everyone and help out one way or another.

My sincere condolences regarding your cat, I'm a cat lover too and understand the pain, mine died decades ago and I felt pretty lonely and ghastly for quite a while At least not everything is lost, at the end of the day, there's always something to be grateful about despite how gloomy or hopeless a situation might appear... Guys, can we agree that this anime season is probably one of the strongest anime season we've got since a lot of time? I mean, the amount of excellent anime we are getting this season is just way too big, i can't count how many great anime are being released this season (except tokyo Ghoul cause Poor Tokyo Ghoul, and Persona 5 the animation too, poor Persona 5).

God, seeing people's results makes me wonder what exactly they answered to get these results. I tried several different variants, and the most fucked up thing I got was... outdoor sex or something.

Confession: I've had some pretty nasty two weeks because of family issues, but life decided that it wasn't clear enough with it's stance on my humble person, so today my cat died. My girlfriend make an observation that this seems like a good day to get drunk together and I honestly don't see any holes in that logic. I'm drinking to you guys then! 乾杯！

I just finished Yukizakura. It was nice. Lighthearted high-school rom-com with a little drama. Comedy in this was really good, and characters are likeable (except for EvilGrandVizier Vice Principal of course ) The best route was definitly Saki - her relationship with Yuuji (protagonist), as well as her character had some nice developement and route had pretty good flow. Other routes were enjoyable, but significantly weaker - officially game doesn't have main heroine, but for me it feels like Saki is the one. Other notable highlights would be Misaki epilogue and Rei route was good too. Misato-sensei and Kozue endings were somewhat disappointing for me (the routes themselves were OK, just the endings felt little lackluster). Nice thing about this game is that other characters don't disappear when you enter heroine route. They play important role throughout whole game. OTOH there is no clear distinction between common and heroine routes, with most key events repeating, so after the first route you'll probably be skipping a lot. Character sprites and CGs were quite good for such ancient game, backgrounds were OK (except for traincar, which could use some more detail). Nice, but IMO weaker than To Heart 2, so I give it 7.5 Game can be bought really cheaply on JAST site, so you may give it a try. PS To have sound on Win7 (and upwards probably) you have to download "imaadp32.acm" codec and put it inside game directory. Otherwise it will complain that the system cannot play ADPCM and there will be no sound. Same goes for Heart De Roommate and other similar games from that era. And continuing my adventure with old VNs, I'll now try aforementioned Heart De Roommate.

I get the kanji part, but hiragana should be strait forward. You already know the idea of characters representing sounds and hiragana is just different characters based on the same system. Find a good hiragana cheat sheet online (yes, they are actually called that for some reason) and print it. Place the paper next to the monitor and then use hiragana furigana. This way you will be forced to look at the cheat sheet whenever you read a hiragana. That way you will force yourself to look at the paper frequently and fairly quickly you will remember some hiragana without looking at the paper and over time you will remember all of them. Combine this with other approaches to study hiragana as you need the theory behind some of them, like what's the difference between か and が. You really should learn how "sound modifiers" work instead of remembering each case they are used in as new characters. If your hiragana studying consist of going through a list of hiragana trying to remember them all, then you will fail. It's so easy to remember them while you read the list and then forget them by the time you need them and reading the list again will not solve the problem. It's a matter of keeping a constant exposure, preferably daily to prevent yourself from forgetting what you learned during your last studying session. Language studying not just a question of time spent. 30 minutes a day is more efficient than 4-5 hours once a week. The daily exposure and hence forcing your brain to not forget between studying sessions is quite valuable.

I'd say the Kururururugi thing is simply cuz he IS that good. Karen is super important to the Black Knights cuz she's a great pilot, and Kururugi is even better, so any fight he joins becomes very problematic. He's like the ace of a sports team, easily changing the dynamics of any match. In regards to the "peace zone": Have you watched HxH 2011? It's pretty much along the lines of FMA: B in terms of style.

The bad endings are all quite dark and I personally wouldn't recommend playing them seriously right after finishing a route, but instead do them all later on after you have finished the good endings.
