And so it begins... the poll to decide TexasDice's fate. I gathered up the suggestions from this thread, and put them into a poll. I'll tell you a secret, but please don't tell anyone. It could ruin my reputation. I don't like hentai Or rather, I don't like any of the hentai I've seen so far, but you know, that's just captain obvious. I well COULD like hentai though. Very often I'm watching or reading a very hot scene in anime or a (all ages) VN and think to myself "wow, if this was a hentai and went all the way through with this premise and character building, it would be hot af". Unfortunately what you can see in most of the hentai out there is just very ludicrous sex scenes with no logic whatsoever. Am I supposed to get off to some drawings and voice actors doing funny noises with their mouths? Nah, come on. I don't like 3D porn either for pretty much the same reason. Give me a believable couple, a believable development and a good story to go along with, and I'm not made of stone2 points -

I have no idea. 3D porn is too scary an idea. I've never seen it. It took me months of all ages Visual Novels before I could try my first 18+ VN (which at the time were the majority), and in the years since I've gotten to a point where I don't think much of it beyond a form of affection or desire.2 points -

Development Blog Hello! I'm one of the writers and founding members of a small indie VN team currently composed of transgender and non-binary devs dubbed Jockstrap Penguin Studios. We've recently begun development of our first visual novel, entitled Candyfloss, which is centered around the lives of several trans and non-binary teenagers living in central Florida. Notes: Ten (10) "romancable" characters Multiple routes and endings No adult content/NSFW planned Written, illustrated, and programmed entirely by trans and NB individuals The main cast has been fleshed out and writing for the main route is underway, though we've decided to hold off on releasing the characters' bios in full until the appropriate concept art is finished; our sprite artist has already produced a number of preliminary sketches and is in the process of digitizing them. Needless to say, we'll be updating both here and our game dev blog at the soonest opportunity. We also have a Discord server where members can nag the devs keep up with our progress and ask any questions they may have for the team. I've seen this kind of reasoning when I made my survey about MLP porn, people saying that real porn is too embarrassing or too graphic for them. I can see where they were coming from, although I'm pretty sure there are variants of live-action porn to fit those tastes too. ;p Or is it a more of philosophical opposition to porn in your case? :]1 point -

For a pretty long time now I try to avoid porn in general, but hentai just doesn't do much for me and never did. I like romance in VNs or anime and the sexual tension or flirting between characters can be hot to me, but when it transitions into h-scenes the charm goes away pretty much instantly. It's just boring, repetitive and doesn't click with my brain on that "basic" level either. The more explicit and over-the-top hentai is, the more laughable it feels to me - Nekopara is the prime example here, although the overwhelming creepiness of the premise would make it hard for me to enjoy it that way even if I liked the ero parts. ;p Maybe I still haven't found the "right" hentai, like Maggie once said? The only exceptions I can remember were actually softcore scenes, in things such as Starlight Vega or Cute Demon Crashers (unsurprisingly, yuri ones), although I wouldn't describe it as much more than mild fuzziness. Of course, 2D waifus are still the best, I just don't feel the need to lewd them. I'm a man of many contradictions, it seems. *shrug*1 point -

This is the world's randomest location for a Phantom Trigger conversation, but I'll bite. I actually edited Phantom Trigger volume 5, so uhh, I might be just a tiny bit biased, but I'd encourage you to read the series. I hadn't read any of the previous volumes until I got the job, but I have now, and Phantom Trigger is actually pretty solid. Nothing amazing or earth-shattering, but good, solid fun. The first volume starts things off a bit slow, since it has so many characters to introduce and isn't all that long (they're all on the short side), so it doesn't really get much plot done, but the subsequent volumes have a good mix of introducing new characters, fleshing out backgrounds for the main characters (vol. 2 - Rena; 3 - Tohka, 4 - Chris, and now 5 is the last remaining of the original four girls, Murasaki), and slowly building up pieces of an overarching plot. The games are maybe 20% slice-of-life, 40% character development, and 40% action? I dunno, numbers made up and very subjective. At any rate, I had a lot of fun with it, so I hope people pick it up and give it a try.1 point -

Went and researched this. I would heartily recommend you buy the one on Steam, which is the Memorial Edition. There are a number of reasons for this. The Adult Content is all right at the start (a bunch of H-Scenes) and from then on the rest of the game has no Adult content whatsoever... Until the bad ends, where it isn't explicit and is simply mentioned. I am not sure how an all-ages version handles these. These bad ends are no more than 2 or 3 minutes each, and there's very little variation to them, and only one of them mentions H-Scenes. The Memorial Edition is fully voiced, including Tomoya. The Perfect one does not voice Tomoya. There is no way to legally acquire the Perfect Edition in the West as the only one translated and sold is the one on steam. There is a patch for the original game (not Perfect), so you can get the H-Scenes if you somehow buy an original copy of the game.1 point

When it comes to porn, I guess I prefer 2D. 3D porn acting is so bad it physically hurts. 2D doesn't suffer from that, and has... many other merits, too. (/ω\) But, I do not prefer 2D over 3D in general. 2D is great and all, but it just can't replicate real life relationships. I prefer my 3D waifus. Yes, I know, I'm disgusting w0 points
