  1. Man, Nitroplus truly loves their Revenge stories huh? Muramasa, Hanachirasu, Kikokugai... they all fall into the particular niche of high stakes revenge plot with twisted but moral motivations and I'm extremely excited for it. We know nothing more besides the teaser image and this video: The spoken lines say: 人を斬る (Cutting down Humans) 残酷な運命 (Wretched Fate) 抗うために (in order to defy) Final Text: 運命を斬れ (Cut down fate!)

  2. My latest visual novel has now been released on Steam Relentless is a comedy/drama/thriller set in a semi-fictional world of secret organisations. Grendel and her "friend" must work together to find a way out of a strange school, where pupils and teachers alike are being killed in mysterious circumstances. Can they both stay alive long enough to work out what is going on and escape? Title Sequence

  4. I figured out what was wrong. I know that the H-scenes aren't actually in the routes themselves but in the extras menu after completing the stories. I just wasn't unlocking them before. My problem was that I hadn't bought the patch from the Fakku website and used it. I just assumed that all I needed were the files from here and the game on Steam. You have to have the 18+ patch from Fakku or these files will only let you see the nudity in the bath scenes and not unlock the H-scenes. That was where my problem was. You have to sign up for a free Fakku account and enable controversial content to even see Maitetsu and the 18+ patch in the store though or you'll never find it. Just a heads up for anybody else with this issue.

  5. 『•• INTRODUCTION ••』 I planned to make a monthly summary post about my published VN reviews and/or articles somewhere convenient enough and so, here we are~ I hope I'm using this user blog right? Anyway, this September... I was in the Halloween mood already. Apart from reviewing games, I finally drew something too, and I hope I'll get the chance to talk about it a bit more in my summary post for October. I'm still thinking about how I want to structure my monthly summary posts here, but I'll (of course) link my reviews and/or articles published for that month. I guess I can highlight one or two VNs I previously reviewed that might be suitable to play for the coming month. I'll also reserve a third segment to showcase one of my fanworks (for VN games, naturally), if any. In other words, this blog of mine will be somewhat personal and pretty much self-promotional, quite like a newsletter. Still, I hope it's informational enough to be of value to anyone taking the time to check this out! 『••••• PUBLISHED REVIEWS & ARTICLES •••••』 Enigmarella by Metal Dragon Studio I'd recommend Enigmarella for anyone who prefers a more romance-focused title. Set in a nautical steampunk universe, this mature otome OELVN lets you pursue an angel and devil pair of love interests, each with their own kind of romance (and sexy times ) to experience. Read my in-depth review for Enigmarella on NookGaming here. He@rtstrings by Izumi Games Izumi Games' first commercial title brings you on a dramatic adventure to finding the soulmate whom the protagonist's red string of fate is connected to. Be prepared to let the three bachelors make your heart go aflutter or sink with sadness. My short review of this short otome OELVN and interview with the developer, Izumi, are included in the latest issue 5 of ChoiceBeat: The Visual Novel and Interactive Fiction Zine --- more details in the next section. 『••••• THINGS TO DO THIS MONTH •••••』 Read ChoiceBeat: The Visual Novel and Interactive Fiction Zine issue 5! ChoiceBeat is a FREE quarterly digital zine and issue 5 contains 40+ pages of reviews, previews, interviews, and articles on various VNIF games. Titles covered include but not limited to Ukraine War Stories by Starni Games, Mothmen 1966 by LCB Game Studio, and Murder by Numbers by Mediatronic. There are sneak peeks on Winning Hearts: Wrestling Otome by Kristi "HusbandoGoddess" Jimenez, Shark Girl: Highschool Reverie of Severed Destiny by JasonCLA and MaleMaidCafe, Rouge Patrol by Grimlark, among several others. Check out ChoiceBeat issue 5 now on Itch.io! Play Ballads at Midnight by Synstoria! If you fancy being chased by --- or rather, chasing after --- a handsome vampire this Halloween month, then you got to give this free and short otome OELVN a try. It is especially the perfect treat for the occasion if you love gothic settings and enemies-to-lovers tropes. Read my review for Ballads at Midnight on NookGaming here. Check out Not It: Spookiest Edition by Snowhaven Studios! Certainly another visual novel made with Halloween in mind, Not It: Spookiest Edition brings you to the unsettling town of EastHollow on Halloween day. It probably won't give you too much of a kick when it comes to spookiness, but it is still something you can consider if you enjoy some gore. Read my in-depth review of Not It: Spookiest Edition on NookGaming here. 『••••• FANWORK SHOWCASE •••••』 This fan art for Great Gretuski Studios' Peachleaf Valley: Seeds of Love was drawn out of season but who cares? 『••••• FOOTER STUFF •••••』 If I'm not on FuwaNovel Forums, then I'm probably on Twitter. 6. And here we have the final confirmation by Spike Chunsoft. Like back with Evenicle 2's ban we can immediately see people suggesting other store fronts with JAST USA and GoG being the most often mentioned destinations.

  7. Full Metal Daemon Muramasa (Soukou Akki Muramasa - 装甲悪鬼村正) JAST Store page (uncensored) GOG Store page (GOG version uncensor patch) SUMMARY This is not a story of heroes. Since time immemorial, warriors called musha have ruled the battlefield, granted supernatural power by their enchanted suits of armor - tsurugi. Minato Kageaki is one such musha, driven by duty to don his crimson armor and challenge the greatest evils of an age. But though madmen and tyrants fall to his blade, never will he claim that his battle is right. For the tsurugi he wields is cursed Muramasa, which five centuries ago brought ruin to the land, and innocent blood is the price it demands in exchange for its terrible might. "Where there are demons, I slay them. Where there are saints, I slay them." These words are an oath, the unbreakable Law binding him to his armor. But they also tell the story of his past, and of the future to come. ENDING GUIDELINE By default, Full Metal Daemon Muramasa has 3 routes, 2 of them initially unlocked (Hero and Nemesis). Completing both routes allow you to access the true end route: Conqueror. Other than that, you can complete any of those routes by any order. However, it is recommended for you to go through your first playthrough blind, so you'll be able to get the full feel of this story. To give you some hints: ROUTE GUIDELINE Hero Route [Ichijou Ayane end] Nemesis Route [Kanae Ohtori end] Conqueror Route [Evil Demon True End] Conqueror Route [Demon End] Conqueror Route [Devil End - Chachamaru] Attribution Guide from Otaku Lair - where this walkthrough is based and omitted Seiya-Saga - guide in Japanese

  8. Today I went through twitter and spotted this account called Bassman123412 who seems to be an avid fan of the SciADV Series. He could already post some pre-release screenshots of Chaos;Head NoAH's English version for some reason and it looks like that they're pretty awful. They are not even close to consistent with any established terminologies of earlier titles and just judging from the first scenes of the game, the translation already looks fairly odd. It seems that our Committee of Zero people do not even have to compete since the NoAH version doesn't even offer a challenge. Sad, really.
