Hoozuki no Reitetsu remains my favorite new show of the season so far, I'm really enjoying it. Thursday is now the day of my most awaited shows with Hoozuki, Kill la Kill(and Community, on the american sitcom side!) Also watching Pupa on that day as well. The short episodes thing makes it kinda weird, but I think it could turn out to be interesting in the long run. Still pretty creepy. Also, about Kill la Kill, what's up with the shining nipples? LOL Other than that Tonari no Seki-kun has had some funny moments, I liked the desk polishing episode. A friend of mine recommended Noragami, from the first two episodes it looks interesting. Nisekoi has been entertaining so far, though not particularly memorable yet. I still haven't gathered the motivation to watch the latest Chuu2 episode though.

After struggling for a while to find a Misaka Mikoto figure that I really wanted, I finaly settled on pre-ordering this cutie from AmiAmi : The various faces, poses and accessories look very cute, and the articulations themselves look fun. I like it a lot more than the Nendo version. Comes out the same month as Matoi Ryuko I think, so that's gonna be it for a while after that.

Congrats Down! It's always great to read your posts as well.

Adding a new one to my list : Terestina Kihara Lifeline from Toaru Kagaku no Railgun. I kept thinking : "Just shut up and get Railgun'd already." What an annoying bitch.

I recently bought the first four volumes of Non Non Biyori, the first three of Oyasumi Punpun and the first tome of A Certain Scientific Railgun. All are good in their own way. I'm only starting with Oyasumi Punpun, but it looks pretty trippin', though a bit depressing.

One of my favorite bands ever : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IzdojNkemwg -
Thank you! I only got into figure collecting more recently. Part of the reason I guess is that I was kind of ashamed of my hobby(anime/manga) in the past, but as I grew older I just stopped caring about the haters. For many years I only had the Asuka and the Valkyrie Profile figures. Then, when I started getting into online shopping and saw the Estelle Bright Nendoroid, I thought I could get "just this one", and here I am now lol. I'm trying to pace myself though so I don't end up broke, I'll probably stop for a while after I find a Misaka that I want.

Yeah, Mandarake has some amazing prices sometimes. I mostly wanted the Senjougahara since I saw a super sexy picture of it on MFC, but Hachikuji is very cute as well. Can't wait for June to get Ryuuko. Next one I want right now though is a Misaka Mikoto, but I can't find one that I like at a decent price, so for now I just keep checking Manda daily in case a good one pops up for cheap. Seems I kinda caught the figure bug since I got that Rikka. >_>;;

I just set up my new figures on my desk along with the Rikka I recently got and the Kurisu I got last year :

Just got these Bakemonogatari figures as a set of two for 2500 Yen :

I got Wolf Children on Bluray/DVD(combo) for Christmas. I had already seen it once, but I couldn't stop crying through most of the film once again. I think Mamoru Hosoda is turning out to be one of my favorite anime directors. Next one I've been planning to watch is the Saint Onii-san movie, I think I got it around the same time as the Steins;Gate movie, but haven't gotten arount to waching it yet. I've also been pondering wether or not I want to watch the second movie of Osamu Tezuka's Buddha.

Can't stop listening to this lately : http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zZfl4Kvo_eM -
I watched a few more first eps yesterday : Sakura Trick : Not quite as funny as I expected from something apparently based on a 4-koma, but it was entertaining enough for me to watch it again next week. I must say I haven't watched a lot of yuri shows before, but it was pretty cute. Hozuki no Reitetsu : My surprise show of the season so far. I hadn't heard about it prior to seeing it pop up on CR, but the synopsys piqued my interest and I was not disapointed by the episode. Really looking forward to next week's episode, Onee-chan ga Kita : Pretty funny, but awfully short. The artwork was kinda original, but also felt rather sloppy. I also fell asleep on the first ep of Hamatora the other day, but it did look interesting from what I remember of it. I already commented on the new Chuu2, but I just wanted to add that it felt kinda like a fanservice OVA, which is a shame considering this was the series that got me hooked on the KyoAni train in the first place. Kumin getting bonked on the head by Tooka seemed a bit out of nowhere as a new running gag. edit : I just watched Nisekoi. I was quite pleasantly surprised. I expected yet another high school rom com, judging from the synopsys, but it seems to make the tropes pretty obvious only to poke fun at them. Visualy it's Shaft allright, down to the camera shots and the cuts which are extremely similar to those used in the Bakemonogatari series. Story wise, some of the stereotypes are so obvious I couldn't take them seriously, and I think it's meant to be that way. The yakuza part makes for an interesting background story as well.

For mangakas : (I need to catch up on most of these guy's recent work though.) Definitely Naoki Urasawa, I've considered him my favorite manga artist for over a decade now. Azuma Kiyohiko. I really enjoyed the Azumanga Daioh manga, and Yotsubato! is one of my favorites. Azumanga Recycle was pretty hilarious as well. Tsutomu Takahashi. Dark and mature mangas, I especialy enjoyed Skyhigh and Blue Heaven. Tsutomu Nihei. It mostly about the backgrounds. Amazing gorgeous yet bleak futuristic megastructures. Masakazu Katsura. I've loved his work since I was in high school. Especialy I''s, it was one of the first manga series I read in its entirety and it was amazing. His bishoujos are the best. Kentaro Miura. What can I say? I love berserk, I own most of what is currently published in french. Honorable mention to Eiji Nonaka for his comedy genius with Cromartie High School. As for illustrators, I guess I'll make another post later.

The first Chuu2 episode was ok I guess. I'm hoping it picks up as it goes on. Judging from the OP, I'm hoping Nibutani goes back to her original hair color in future episodes. I was unsure how I would feel about the censorship in Pupa, but after watching it I think I will continue watching this version and then watch the uncensored version when it comes out, given it's short episodes anyway. It really was and almost completly black screen though. Not much to tell about the show given how short it was, but it was creepy allright. As for Kill la Kill episode 13

Apparently, my country's customs could seize what they perceive as loli porn, but I've never let it trouble me. I've imported Grisaia no Kajitsu for example, which has screenshots of naked Makina(who looks very underage) among other explicit screens on the back of the box, but they never opened any of my packages. I seem to recall seeing people from the US with pretty extensive collections, and I think there might actualy court precedent in your favor as long as the content isn't overly degenerate, so I don't think you should have too much trouble. (edit : As a side note I've heard of my country's customs(Canada) opening and trying to install eroge. Apparently they returned it to the guy saying they couldn't get it to run due to OS compatibilty, and thus could not find objectionable content. Not sure if that story is true though.)

After finishing the Bravely Default demo. (100% Awesome, will buy and play to death.) I tried going back to my old game of SMT4, but I ended up starting over from the beginning since I didn't remember enough about my demons and where the hell I was in the story. I also gave Radiant Historia a spin before that since a few of my friends happen to be playing it lately and it's been sitting on my shelf for a very long time.

Non Non Biyori has apparently been chosen as the best anime of 2013 by AT-X subscribers in Japan, with Railgun S in second and Shingeki no Kyojin in third. http://www.crunchyroll.com/anime-news/2014/01/07/at-x-subscribers-choose-non-non-biyori-as-their-best-anime-of-2013 I only watched the first episode of NNB, but I remember one of my friends saying he liked it, so I guess more incentive to watch it.

I don't think it's too much of a stretch, most of the reasoning behind this makes sense, and it's an issue that has been all over the media(and social media) in recent years.
-
I only watched Tonari no Seki Kun so far. It was rather amusing, I will keep watching it for now, it seems like my kind of random comedy anime. I also need to catch up on Saki to watch the new season, and I've been keeping up with the latest Log Horizon as well.

After starting Bakemonogatari a few weeks ago, I finished Monogatari Series Season 2 today. It was great, I really enjoyed it. I especialy liked the visual style, but the story and characters were also very good. Looking forward to more of this. I've also been having fun rewatching the first Railgun series, I will probably follow it up with a rewatch of Railgun S. <3 Biribiri. Judging from Down's description, I think I want to give Teekyu a go.

It's been a long time, but I remember having fun messing around with the spell creation system. Also from the SQ album series, a track from Xenogears I really like. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=PmnEhyKqGBI&noredirect=1 -
