  1. Yep. To quote a certain man... "All desires are valid... to a man with a full purse." =P
  2. I'll probably give it a try because I'm into dark/weird stuff and the HCG looks pretty high quality as well. I'm only cautiously optimistic about the story though, Euphoria was decent but nowhere *near* as good as people are hyping it up to be. Oh and I'm not into guro as a fetish, either. I don't think this game will be like that, though... it will probably have violence, but not gore during sex (like in some of the more hardcore games) Euphoria didn't have that, either.
  3. Lightning Defender's Greatsword +5, 50+ Faith, wreck faces. What I did, personally. On-topic, I'm playing some Gyakuten Kenji 2 and waiting for Transistor to be patched because it still crashes on my PC.
  4. I hope you at least enjoyed that riceball they gave you. You monster.
  5. Finally had some time to sit down and finish up Marie's route in Dies Irae. Only one route to go, wonder what it's gonna be like in comparison. Marie's route already felt like it could've been the final route. Edit: Done with the epilogue. Oh god this ending. な、涙が止まらない…
  6. I love Kageaki as an MC. And he can be so hilariously deadpan at times. As for what's coming, even I'll admit that the common route can drag a bit, especially Chapters 3 and 4 are among the weakest parts of the VN for me. But then Chapter 5 + individual routes happen and things get pretty interesting. By the way! I hope you're not using a walkthrough to see how to get onto each route. Because that sort of spoils things. On your first time just select whatever choices you think are best and go with it. You'll understand what I mean at the end of Chapter 3.
  7. That was one of my favorite BGMs in the game, and hilariously enough they use it during There's a scene / plot development regarding the above in Kanae's route but I obviously won't spoil it for you. It's pretty great... and by great I mean it will break your heart, haha. Uggghh you stopped reading at the best partttt Well nevermind. You'll soon come back to this thread and post something along the lines of WHAT THE FUCK IS THIS, then I'll know you have finished Chapter 1.
  8. I don't, actually. It usually takes me ages to finish VNs because I'm a gamer and tend to be distracted by my Steam library or the abundance of handhelds/games I have. But usually I just sit my ass down and read until I'm done, even if it takes weeks/months. I do enjoy sort of "living with the characters" so to speak, so I don't mind a VN taking months to read.
  9. Enjoy it while you still can. Wait till you have to start hunting for jobs and going to interviews, that's where the real fun begins...
  10. The first SMT game I've ever played and I loved it. If anyone hasn't played it yet, do pick it up.
  11. Well, I'm curious where the story goes for the group of students, but I'm assuming it won't go anywhere nice judging by the tone so far. If there's anything I really like about the VN so far, it's the awesome OST. And the writing is great, but it murders me with the history politics. If it makes you feel any better if you can read Chapter 1 you'll be fine with the rest of the game, while the writing doesn't get any easier, it won't get *much* harder, either, afaik. Infodumps, Tsurugi battles and politics will always be there. @ what you wrote in the spoiler: well he's kinda on the cover/boxart so not much of a spoiler at all. The narration's point of view will change to other characters from time to time.
  12. Started a new game+ on Dark Souls 2, playtime at 100 hours and still counting. Man this game is addictive.
  13. Kara no Shoujo has some gameplay (sort of, you solve murders), the plot is one big mystery, has mild yuri undertones (don't get too excited though) and is about 15-20 hours long. If you don't mind how dark the story is. Like, really dark.
  14. Just wanted to echo the above sentiments, yes, it's still fairly niche. Just because you have Akihabara doesn't mean it's suddenly a country-wide mainstream phenomenon. In fact I'd speculate that the otaku stigma is stronger in Japan compared to the US which nowadays is a bit more open minded about stuff like that.
  15. Hey, I'm sure we'll be getting a Muramasa anime in lolnever Eustia may have moege character design and humor thrown in there from time to time, but it still had an impact on me. For instance I was gutted after and that scene when That was one of my favorite bits probably.
  16. I'll admit, I also want to see 小動物-Tia or Licia animated... this thread is now about eustia, DISCUSS
  17. Especially since Eustia's storyline is fairly anime-ready and would be easy to adapt, plus it's more or less linear and has a One True End so it wouldn't be a problem to figure out which route to animate.
  18. First reaction was "why not Eustia", then I realized moe sells more.
  19. lol at least give the team a chance to prove themselves before you start witch hunting their asses. Seriously guys. Let them release that partial patch first. I feel like I'm reading a 4chan thread.
  20. Well at least you're exposed to new vocab lol. Yes and no, strictly speaking it's not quite mecha since Tsurugi are just sets of man-sized armor, not piloted robots. But considering their designs and functionality they kinda are mecha. But not *really*. You get the idea.
  21. if everyone took the time to read it I wouldn't have to hype it amirite
  22. Well yeah, Muramasa is pretty hard. But overall it's *probably* a touch easier to read than Masada's over-the-top chuuni stuff. And it really doesn't fuck around either, the very first scene of the prologue is a samurai battle with complex descriptions. However, with an exception or two here and there, it's definitely not the fight scenes that make the game so awesome. Even if you find it too hard, I recommend reading Chapter 1 at the very least, the ending of that chapter will hit you harder than a freight train, in good Nitro+ fashion. And the opening that plays right after that is just fantastic. これは英雄の物語ではない is the game's tagline for a reason.
  23. I see what you did there. I'm happy to see someone else appreciating this game as much as I do! It was one of my favorites of last year but it really seems to split readers. Many people consider it meh or even outright bad. Now go read Muramasa, chop chop.
  24. Told ya Totono was good shit. Welcome to the club.
  25. Well, kanji lookup is a million times faster with digital dictionaries, but I do have a physical one myself (that I don't use anymore, but still). It's the Kodansha furigana dictionary, got it from Amazon. It's mostly for beginners, and it's useful if you know how something is pronounced and want to look up how it's written (hence the furigana). One minor dissatisfaction I had with the furigana one is that it uses not an alphabetical order for its entires, but the Japanese K-S-T-N-H-M-Y-R-W-N order of kana. They have other dictionaries, apparently the kanji one is also decent (or so a friend tells me), look around Amazon and read some customer reviews before you make a decision though.
