Just skim through MLE. Catch the character's ideas and personalities. (u can just play Meiya and Sumika) Then in MLU, it will become more interesting. And MLA, after the first 15+ hours, it will be awesome.

Well, I planned to play this VN a long time ago but keep postponing it more than a year cuz’ I heard it is a 60-hour+ full of German words and incomprehensible plot. But the score & review rate it so high that it tempt me to play many times. Now that my heart is ready so I gave it a shot. And…, in the first playthrough (Kasumi route), seriously, it was one of the most painful VN experience I almost drop it; very boring and the ending is extremely a letdown. I felt like I was hexed by a sleep spell when I heard ton of German chant. So I skipped a lot of it and now I cursed myself that did that. Because from 2nd play onwards, it has become more and more interesting as the whole thing start to come together, making more senses and most importantly I start remembering characters’ names (1character has about 3-4 names in this VN). And at the ending of Kei route, I am in love with this VN. I find the world, the setting and many characters are very charming. But, basically, I skipped almost the 2-6 chapters so many things is unclear for me. So here are my questions: Does Shamballa refer to Castle(城)? What the heck is Getto? Around chapter 3-5, there was a scene of Kasumi standing there shocked. What is it about? Why Torifa (the priest) want to kill Beatrice? Is it related to 5 colors things? Risa had done something very bad in the past. What exactly is it? About the Thoroughbred thing… Why Makina say he is a ‘stalking horse’ of MC? If the Black Round Table’s objective is to open all 8 Suwasuchika in order to resurrect Reinhard, then why he can come back to the world by himself many times before opening all 8? The time skip thing is created by the Creation of Reinhard or Izaac? Why the Black Round Table gone for 60 years? Can’t they just escape to that castle for like 1-3 year and then come back to continue the war? Or is it uncontrollable? (IMO, 60 years is kind of pointless as things are pretty much settle down...) And in Kei ending, why they come back after just 20 years, why not 60? I will start Mary route tmr but I think it might be better if I understand more about the story first. Q_Q. P.s. the version I play is Dies irae ~Amantes amentes~.

Finished Grisaia no Rakuen. Epic !! (for FD standard) Hope the anime adaptation will turn out good like the VN. Move to Dies irae now.

As i've played both, I'd say the two VN, despite of creating from the same scenario writer, is not similar at all. Root Double is very interesting VN but, it doesn't give the same vibe as Ever17. The "mystery" part in RD is relatively weak to E17. And it is not that emotionally rewarding like E17 when everything revealed. Also, E17 doesn't have the suspense element much in it while RD give you a full course of suspense in the first route. (majority said it is the best route of the vn) However, there is one major flaw that make this VN cannot go over the rating of 90+ (EGS 83-85, me 8.5) which is That said, I still think that this VN is a must for those who love infinity series. The plot, characters and the system are done very well. And most of all, you will love the world of RD as the creator put so much afford in every little details (60+ play hours) that make RD's world so captivating.

well, the reason I haven't touch Key works yet because I watched air/canon/clannad/LB! in anime already. So I always delay reading their works and choose some Vns I completely don't know the story be4. ^^" But anyway, for Key, I think I will read Rewrite first. (The anime OP is so awesome!) Hey great to know that you're also Baldr fan. The game took out roughly 41 days of my life (~1000 hours playing Dive1+Dive2+DiveX ) Practicing combos, cool moves and all. ~ It was a fun ride indeed XD

Now I am playing Garden. The VN was said to be a masterpiece by some jap folks. Interestingly, EGS rate this quite badly (~60) cuz there were a lot of "0" rate due to the game incompleteness... I'll see how this turn out.

"Do you have deep reflections about life when playing them sometimes?" well it depends on what game I play. Normally, I engage into the story but as well find my RL disconnect from the game I play, especially if it is a fantasy genre. For example, when I play 穢翼のユースティア, the setting and all are so far from real so it'd be really hard for me to reflect on things. But yeah, when I finished a very good one, I got a sense of nostalgia from it as well. And also spend hours and hours search all the MADs I can find on nico and youtube as well XD
