Konnichiwa, Rairu-kun... and welcome to Fuwa :] Could you describe that problem? Have you tried different clients?
  8. Welcome to Fuwa .
  9. Right now I'm still playing Ever17 -the out of infinity- (Tsugumi's route).
  10. Welcome to Fuwa, Sekainashi .
  11. I usually just eat rice. It's really good with some chinese vegetables, broccoli and chicken's meat.
  12. 1) In general, would you prefer Japanese or English voice acting in localized visual novels originating from Japan (assuming quality of the voice acting isn't an issue)? - Japanese voice with English text Visual novels are a tool which helps me with English. Thanks to them I can work on it and make it better. I haven't marked 'Japanese with Japanese text', because I can't read many kanji/understand the written language very well. 2) Do you prefer VNs originating in Japan or OELVNs (VNs developed by Westerners) - Japanese Well, v-novels are v-novels. Japanese media are 'other' comparing to Western and I like it in Japan. 3) If you prefer Japanese voice acting, why? (you may select more than one choice) - I'm a Japanese culture aficionado - I prefer localizations that are as close to the original as possible, and I believe a dub is a step further from this ideal than a text translation
  13. Welcome to Fuwa, blaiseantoine . I hope you'll spend some nice time here. That's mostly because v-novels are kind of underground stuff, I guess.
  14. @UP, Actually it's pretty good . *** Welcome to Fuwa, Ragnar .
  15. Welcome to Fuwa . . Everyone liked DBZ.
  16. Welcome to Fuwa .
  17. Mhm, it all started with Clannad. I was in a mood to watch good shoujo anime then. I watched Clannad, then Kanon, then Air. It came out that the trilogy is based on visual novels. I became more interested in novels and finally downloaded Clannad (from Fuwa). The game came out to be good and I wanted to complete it before watching Clannad ~After Story~ . After Clannad I wanted to play more novels and... that's how it was. It started with Clannad through Phenomeno and some eroge (I'm not very proud of that) up to Ever17... and I'm not going to stop ...
  18. Finding an English voice-acted/dubbed visual novel won't be easy. This genre is hardly known outside of Japan. Companies don't want to translate and publish v-novels because they are not 'worth' of it (western customers aren't used to such entertainment / no money, no games). Even if you found such novel, it wouldn't be sure if it's 'good' as you meant in the thread's title.
  19. I usually use window-mode option. Full screen seems to be too 'large' on my monitor and it's uncomfortable. There's the only exception so far - new novels which resolutions are big enough to use full screen option.
  20. Yeah, I do. Suitable seiyuu is a half of success. With own seiyuu characters seem to be way more individual. Good seiyuu makes a character more funny or cool and so on. Fav seiyuu so far? I'd choose Fujibayashi Kyou's voice actress.
  21. Welcome to forums :)/>. Both aren't bad. Play the novel, then watch the anime. You'll be able to rate how good (or bad) they've done with adaptation. Edith: Thanks, Nakanishi. That's quite a precious tip. I did ask you about correcting, so don't worry .
  22. Pretty average score: Words per minute (WPM) 90 Keystrokes 456 (451 | 5) Correct words 85 Wrong words 1 You are better than 94.8% of all users (position 5200 of 100021 - last 24 hours)
  23. I do use auto-mode. It's really comfortable when you don't need to click/press a button/scroll while you're eating or when you're just tired of it. Auto-mode is pretty useful in games in which you have more than 2/3 chara paths and you don't want to read the same things for the second time too.
  24. I'd call Clannad 'light'. It's light and a bit sad (funny too) on everyone's path, but as a vn it's good. My explaination: It's like an interactive book. You read, you imagine, you feel and game's environment helps you with graphics and music.
  25. Okay. I've played around ~30 minutes and games didn't crash, so it's the 'read-only' access right problem. My fault that I didn't check the Ever17's troubleshooting page carefully (there's a point about unchecking 'read only' checkbox in all game's files)... Sorry for trouble and thank you, Nakanishi Kaguya, Kandiji, Tief Blau, for help .
