  1. Got 1st try FC on Wonder Zone Almost FC'd Start Dash in 1 try too The funny thing is on the score matches I probably have a higher % chance of FCing Start Dash over Wonder Zone, I kinda choked and hit a bad somewhere in the middle. Also did a 10+1 got 2 SRs. Both healers. Bleh, score ups > everything else. My teams are pretty weak and the last time I remember ever failing was trying a EX the first time during my first couple days of starting. That was when I was rank 11 or something.
  2. Haha, our team was a bunch of random diamond players that we made 2 days before registration deadline. I'm surprised we even made it to semi's undefeated too, but we didn't play against high diamond teams until the semis.
  3. Damn our team lost 1:2 vs Carnegie Melon today. Oh well, at least it was a good run. @Mephisto. Nice to see you're still undefeated. Good luck vs SFU tomorrow!
  4. Thank you Shizuku, that's what I've been trying to say this whole time. If you don't have the technical skill to play a map, you can't just immediately call it a shitmap just cause you can't play it. Also, that's quite an impressive Pluto play, I assume you're in the top 1K rankings?

  6. http://i.imgur.com/CaaKQNs.png Your coupon appears in your paypal wallet. I used to have a prepaid card linked to my paypal until it expired, so I'm pretty sure it should work as long as you can link your paypal account to your google play account.
  7. Guys, there's a way to get free Lovecas right now. http://www.reddit.com/r/SchoolIdolFestival/comments/2ywvs4/3_3_3_coupons_free_on_paypal_for_google_play_you/ If you're in the US, read my tutorial: http://www.reddit.com/r/SchoolIdolFestival/comments/2ywvs4/3_3_3_coupons_free_on_paypal_for_google_play_you/cpec71s

  9. @maefdomn Okay so the Extreme difficulty does have a ton of small sliders and other things. Is it necessary? Probably not. But I feel like it isn't off with the rhythm, the sliders are there as placeholders for 16th notes, they usually don't end up getting mapped most of the time so you think it feels "unjustified". The other difficulties don't even have as many sliders as the extreme difficulty, but it still is tricky to play. I usually take a look at the "user rating" too. That map is rated extremely positive, so they must be doing something right. While that "something right" might be not for you, its still playable for a majority of players who have passed that map.
  10. This map isn't even close to being a shitmap (I could probably SS it if I wanted to, but I don't really want to put in more than 1 try). The only problem you might have is that it mixes both vocals and instrumentals, so it feels unnatural to play for newer players. The maps people generally call shitmaps are maps like these: https://osu.ppy.sh/s/210316 fanzhen has his own unique map style, and it throws a lot of people off. fanzhen's style isn't even that bad. I can't play Hollow Wings maps at all, but a lot of pros seem to enjoy them. This got unranked and unlisted lol: https://osu.ppy.sh/b/433005
  11. False. Manga on paper is just so far behind in the US that its just better to read scanlations. Next person has watched today's IEM Katowice League tournament.
  12. And I'm saying that they're not shit, you just don't like the mapping style. Some people call DJPop, HanzeR, or fanzhen0019 maps "shitmaps" because they don't use conventional mapping styles that we see today and can't read them properly. Some higher ranked players like playing those types of maps because they're more "fun" to play, even though they are a lot harder to play and read on a technical level. To give an another example, would you call The Big Black or Scarlet Rose "shitmaps"? More and more "shitmaps" are getting ranked in 2015.
  13. Again, this is my friend who overstreams 270 bpm. Just looked at your map. This is nothing compared to the "shitmaps" he made me play in multi. It even got pass ranked standards. Almost all the maps he plays don't even follow standard ranked requirements. That map is just basic ~220 single tapping. If you can tap fast (It's not even that fast for some people, but that's about my single tap limit), that map is incredibly easy.
  14. Actually I have played them. I have a friend who pretty much only plays those types of maps. While I am really impressed at his stream speed and AR 10 reads, his accuracy has suffered because of it. His profile: https://osu.ppy.sh/u/ranguesy Meanwhile, I tend to stick towards my type of maps, not really pushing boundaries but just removing errors in my plays, I'm more consistent with AR 9 and accuracy. While I could not reasonably do well on the 6-7 stars that he plays, I would think all the maps are shit, even though it's certainly still playable with practice. 15. I have 2 plat II smurfs I don't really care about the ranking of. When you say duo, do you mean to have fun or tryhard and climb elo?
  16. We were talking about the 5.5 patch today, maybe change strategies and maybe bring out some unusual picks. Good luck on your matches, my team just wants the trip to Cali

  19. God you sound exactly like how Kenji would sound if he played LLSIF.
  20. Yea, its just Solge EX has a really high note density, and its a lot easier if you just break it down into mini clumps of patterns. It's actually pretty easy to read compared to other multikey games. Stuff like this just hurts my eyes even trying to comprehend what to do:
