Konosuba2 is the stand out this season for sure! Definitely won't be wasting my time watching any more rewrite installments as the first was shithouse. Same with tales of Zestiria which was all over the place and wildly inconsistent last time. Tons of other potential shows which are all wildcards that I will definitely at least start watching and cull them if they fail to prove their worth.

I thought the ending was comprehensively happy enough to consider it happy. I've put what you said in spoiler tags since that's a fair amount of a spoiler for the show and suggest you edit yours again to do so. But sure I'd love to see another season of it... even if just for more Sento goodness. You would not believe how many hentai doujins there are of her (not that I'd read such stuff, nosiree... but goddamn she's hot). Thanks for the other recommendations, I'll add them to the bottom list.

There are no rules and there are numerous ways to handle it. Some make the common route short and put you on a path with the heroine you fall for quickly and the other heroines go into the background to varying degrees. Others have a huge common route and short path with one heroine towards the end. Others will keep the other heroines in the foreground as part of the same story, or change the story completely and how they behave depending on which heroine you choose. Others will make the other heroines jealous and change their behaviour leading to conflict. Others will allow you to participate in an unhappy love triangle/polygon and end up with one/more/none of the heroines. The one I'm currently playing you spend time with each heroine, sorting out each girl's problems and even get to H them before you leave the common route after you choose one girl exclusively... or you can choose harem route and continue having all of them in various combinations... And so on and so forth...

Agreed, and even if it's not primarily a character show, the characters have far more depth if aimed at/written by women. Some of my all time favourites are shoujo anime or based on manga written by women (still blows my mind that FMA/B was for example...)

Technical? Plug it in and turn it on. Features? It's menu driven on screen based on the release from the BD manufacturer and requires no knowledge on the user's part. Make the most of the resolution? It happens automatically without you doing a single thing by simply connecting a hdmi cable to a HD (720p or above) resolution monitor or TV, which all are these days. Your argument holds no water. This sounds more like the cries of someone who has bullishly persisted in expanding their DVD collection and not bought a bluray player in spite of bluray being around for years rather than any logical argument. This is nothing like comparing analogue to digital; it's digital lowres versus digital highres.

720p is far beyond DVD resolution.

It's almost impossible to buy a TV or monitor today low enough resolution for you not to notice the difference.

There are threads like the "post pics you like" thread that have so many embedded pictures that some don't come up at all, leaving only the filename there until I refresh 2 or 3 times to see the embedded pictures. It also takes a heck of a long time for the page to load despite 20mbit download speeds here. Maybe the option to decrease the number of posts shown per page would help, or (probably not easy to implement at the admin side) limit posts per page based on size of messages.
