  1. VNs are definitely becoming more popular, but like Joey said in the video, it's still pretty niche and will stay that way.
  2. \//\ #VAPENAYSHYALL
  3. But it's always easier calling Sekai Project the Hitler of VN localizers.
  4. I honestly don't care if they don't have h scenes. The h scenes in Sharin No Kuni felt like they were shoved in there without any thought. As for the Kickstarter, I don't trust them being able to reTL everything by September so I won't be supporting this one.
  5. If my knowledge is correct, I don't think translators get paid much for translating VNs. Still, some form of compensation is better than getting none.
  6. I think companies buying fan TLs is fine because the translators get paid for their efforts. Even if the project started on their passion for the VN and the want to share it with the community, getting paid for their work is an added bonus.
  7. Ever17, G Senjou No Maou, Kara No Shoujo series, and Tokyo Babel are a few I would recommend.
  8. in that way? Welcome to the forums. I haven't played many Sono Hanabira VNs because I'm more of a plot based VN kind of guy. I can give you some recommendations for translated ones. I hope to see you around.
  9. Welcome to the forums. Best of luck on your translation.
  10. Post that I find funny but nobody else does followed by shit recommendations.
  11. With the last one, the easy solution is to ignore the review and play it to form their own opinion.
  12. But can you reach Leafy levels of clickbait?
  13. That about sums up my week as well. My semester is hell currently.
  14. Knew it.
  15. That is quite surprising to hear. And I wanted to play it at some point...
  16. I'm gonna have night terrors for weeks if that's the case. Some people...
  17. That's some @Valmore level clickbait there.
  18. Yet you still have people on Twitter like this.
  19. The medium as a whole is more for anime fans. The major selling point for a lot of people is the visual aspect. If people want a story, they're more likely to lean towards purchasing books. Plus there's the whole issue of some VNs where nothing happens for hours. Hentai also can turn people off reading VNs that aren't censored.
  20. There's one thing you have to learn and that is nobody is gonna translate something unless they're personally interested in it. Asking people to translate something will not get you very far. If you want to understand the VN, learn Japanese and read it yourself rather than asking translators to do something specifically for you.
  21. With that profile pic, you're gonna get @DarkZedge a little too aroused. Anyways, welcome to the forums Listless. If you like plot based VNs, I and many others have a long list for you to check out. Some I'd recommend are Ever17, G Senjou No Maou, Steins;Gate, Kara No Shoujo series, and Gahkthun (personally I wasn't that much of a fan of it, but you should check it out and form your own opinions). I hope to see you around.
  22. There was an attempt at translating it that has been dead for forever now. Something you'll have to learn is that no matter the quality of the VN, most VNs will never be picked up and even if they are, they won't be fully TLed unless it's an official translation and some companies can't even promise that.
  23. It's definitely in my top 3 VNs I've ever played. Even if you don't like it, at least try it and form your own opinions.
  24. Meanwhile there's people like me. Congratulations on 1000 posts.
