Unrequited love is awful No confirmation on Iris route. The poll serves as a nice indicator for XERO on what overseas fans prefer. It's interesting. As a Japan vs. West comparison, Onomatope* held a poll early on (pre-release) and Kaede ended up most popular. There was a second poll that ran 10/16-11/15, and if I recall, Aoi took 1st place. However, that poll has since been removed. Not sure why. So it seems Iris is most popular overseas right now. What decision XERO makes based upon that (if any) we don't know. They're watching, though. ^__^

We are in good shape. 30% or so is usually above average by this time. Just keep adding more rewards/expanding on existing tiers as we go along, considering that's usually how you can get the ones on the edge to actually start pledging. Thanks for bringing this up! Question for everyone on expanding reward tiers: Prior to the campaign, we thought about making the physical copy an add-on, but for a few reasons we decided not to. Since the campaign has begun, a few people have asked if we would do so. We're pretty flexible, but would like to ask your opinion before going forward if you don't mind. 1. Is there any change you might suggest making to any of our tiers (is there one in particular that sticks out)? 2. Do you think more people would be happy to see a physical copy as an add-on? Even though only a few people have asked about this, we realize not everyone will choose to reach out to us. Thanks for your help! And, Cerulean, when you say "we", it makes me all warm and fuzzy inside. The campaign has been shaping up to feel like a group of united supporters, hasn't it. ;-)

Hello Guys/Gals! A huge thank you to everyone that has supported us so far. The past 3 days have been pretty wild. We are now funded at 34/35% We're expecting some "turbulence" in the coming weeks, so we'll keep our eyes ahead, and keep trucking through. More higher tier rewards. That's something MKJ and XERO are discussing since a few of our (limited quantity) highest tiers have already been pledged on. We've got some ideas, and we'll keep everyone posted if/when we add them. Starting to miss the days of chatting, but must head back into the fray! Looking forward to popping in again soon. Thanks! <3 PS: We're trying to see how big of a Thunderclap (more like a Kamehameha) we can make to help spread the word about Libra! Come check us out!

Launch button has been pushed! We are now live! https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/mikandijapan/libra-of-the-vampire-princess-visual-novel-english Thank you for your support Fuwanovel and friends. Now, I just need to hope James and I don't die of a heart attack within the next 39 days. To Kickstarter battle! <3

Any chance you could flexibly allocate funds to translation depending on how much money the campaign brings in? Maybe have 1 pass if the goal is just met, and add more passes as stretch goals (or folded into other stretch goals)? That makes most sense to me, and it would allow translation quality to scale with the amount of interest--which, IMO, is exactly how it should work. That might allow you cut the initial starting goal even further to maximize the chances of success, without sacrificing translation quality if the campaign goes as well as you hope. The team has all agreed, without question, to do the final pass for free. Also... we've just added Backerkit, which has a PayPal option inside: http://help.backerkit.com/article/351-paying-with-paypal

Hello Everyone! Since there's only 4 days left until launch, MKJ has been in Kickstarter "countdown" mode. Part of this countdown mode is to reveal one thing (or more) each day about our campaign until we finally go live on December 10, 2015. For today's reveal we have... DRM-Free: The physical copy of Libra will be DRM-Free to all Kickstarter Backers! Theme Song & EN Lyrics: For music lovers, we've added a download link to "The Annunciation", Libra's opening theme sung by Mayumi Shindo & Toa Yukimura. We've also included a lyric sheet image translated from the original JP to EN! We hope you enjoy and are looking forward to tomorrow's exciting reveal. Thanks again for your continued support! Until then...

Root Double is a 50 hours game, TL+ED will cost them 36k$ and it will be done by Lemnisca, they did good TLs previously, or so community say. [85 EGS]For the whole TLC/Re-TL/QC Muv-Luv wanted 57,5k$. It was supossed to be done by Ixrec/Alternative Projects and some other "experts" The length of ML/MLA is approx 80 hours [90 EGS]Libra on the other side will need 80k$ for translation, length of the game is approx 20 hours, forgive me if I'm wrong, saw only 2 reviews on EGS listing 12h and 15h. Translation is done by people inside. [70 EGS]TL;DR Root Double - 50 hours - 36,000$ - 85 EGS Rating ML/MLA - 80 hours - 57,500$ - 90 EGS Rating Libra - 20 hours - 80,000$ - 70 EGS Rating(Low amount of votes tho, might be not too accurate) Would also add Clannad/Grisaia etc. but I don't see a point... I still would like to play Libra and give it a chance, maybe if it'll be on sale on Steam for 20-25$ I'll consider buying it. Good Luck with the Kickstarter. Yowza! 20 hours?!?! Erogamespace is mistaken! Libra gameplay, the FULL uncut version, is 60 hours. The Steam version will be 15% shorter than that with the H-scenes removed. We have stated that that version will be around 50 hours. Also, could you please pass us a link where you saw this incorrect information on EGS or elsewhere. Thanks. UPDATE: We looked at EGS and found what we believe you were referencing for gameplay time. This just means that 2 people played the game for 11-15 hours. Maybe a player chose only one path and sped through the game like crazy, or another played Libra for 11-15 hours, quit, then decided to write a review. In any case, the full game is 60 hours. I suppose we could account for players with superhuman abilities. ;-) You mentioned that you've managed to cut costs a bit. What's the new initial funding goal? We'll be making the new, reduced (sodium) budget public next Thursday when we launch. ;-) Wait a second! 10 hours were cut due h-scenes? I'm not an expert regarding adult version of these games but that sounds a lot! I thought most h-scenes could be read in a couple of minutes so this strikes me as odd surprising news... I'm guessing these numbers are based on line counts.

Good News Everyone! Pending approval of Kickstarter, we plan to launch the "Libra of the Vampire Princess" campaign on December 10, 2015. We know you've all been anxiously awaiting this news (we have, too)! All in all, we're at a point where we (MiKandi Japan and XERO) feel the project has reached our target for supporters and momentum. So, the time has come to "put the pedal to the metal" and steamroll through the holiday season to victory! This is a crucial time, so please stay tuned for more announcements! Ever thankful for your support, MiKandi Japan and XERO PS: If you haven't caught the preview of our campaign, we urge you to stop by our Prefundia page and check out all the goodies! We have quite a few surprises to be revealed on launch day, too. Here we go!

Hi Decay, Thanks for raising this concern. I passed along your comments to the lead translators and we discussed it further over the phone. Could you (or others) point out some specific examples where a tick like this has been dealt with in a way you think worked out well for the audience? We are willing to listen and adjust as we build up each character's profile for this translation. So far... Deep Blue gives it a +1 for charm points, but admits others may not like it.As Rooke stated, we could add footnotes. We could try to find something similar in English, like repeating the last word... "Yes, yes" or "Understood, understood"We could remove it and ignore it, players who like it can still hear it if they pay attention to the voicesThanks, James - Project Manager

We anticipated that including desu would raise some questions . To be honest, I was curious myself after I'd seen a couple drafts of the translation. So we brought it up to our veteran translators and asked them why they were adding the desu. After a lengthy discussion, they all commented that this stood out as a character trait (a cute and peculiar one I'd imagine) of Lycoris's. So, this is why we've decided to include it.

Well, it's the weekend and we're busy as heck but, we've got a couple topics we'll be looking into -- one of them being the PSVITA. "Moe on the move!" (as I like to call it lol), seems like a very convenient option. Many have reached out (Twitter, Prefundia and private messages), asking if we'll be making Libra available for the Vita. No promises at all, but we're investigating it as an additional option to the other formats we're offering. We wanted to mention this here to see what our friends at Fuwanovel might have to say. Thanks for your time and continued feedback! You guys rock!

Will definitely be keeping an eye on this one! Good luck!
