i just created this account for the sole purpose of getting help with installing dmmd so i'm not sure if i did the forum thing correctly but anyway;; i installed dmmd from [piracy is bad m'kay] and i did everything that was on the page up until the part where i had to put in the english patch. before i did this, the game opened perfectly fine and everything worked, but it was in japanese so i copy and pasted the english patch and the videos into the folder. still, when i opened the game, it would be in japanese. so i tried everything (copy and pasting again, restarting, etc) i could but eventually the game stopped working altogether? it would open up to a black screen and then shut down after about 2 seconds. i followed every step to install the game, but since it wasn't working i decided to get directx but i'm also not sure how that works? i have a windows 7 and i tried to get applocale but it wouldn't let me. plsss help i've been at this for hours and i haven't figured out a way to fix it even after watching videos and reading a bunch of posts
