  1. Blasphemy. But seriously, Digimon had a way better story in more occasions than Pokemon (Adventure 01, Tamers, and the X-Evolution movie).
  2. Well, so I think I'm very satisfied now.
  3. Not really. I would have obviously tagged it if it had spoiled anything significant. Edit: Never mind. Looks like either you or a mod have done that for me. I don't even know why you bothered lecturing me if you were gonna do it anyway.
  4. Nope, false. Favorite color is actually BLUUUUUUUUUUUUUE!!!! Navy BLUUUUUUUUUUUUUE!!!! Next person likes their fries dipped in thick glop of nacho cheese.
  5. True. It's from the song by Queen, "We're the Champions". Next person probably doesn't listen to a lot of oldies.
  6. Ahhh, it's useless. Absolutely useless. Battler is so badass right now I can't help but have a hard-on.
  7. Umineko, episode 5. The part where Dlanor starts spamming the DeathDeathDeath Engrish. Funny how the VN could make me root for Beautrice TWICE and turn Natsuhi into one of the most annoying characters in the story. Like, seriously, she's even worse than Furude Erika, the antagonist herself. Ugh, can't wait till someone shut Erika up, particularly that giggle.
  8. Sumi-desu Sumi-desu Sumi-desu DIE THE DEATH SENTENCE TO DEATH GREAT EQUALIZER IS THE DEATH
  9. I feel Clephas is a bit harsh on it, but I could understand the sentiment. The Pokemon anime is one of those things I have a love-hate relationship with. The points Clephas made are valid, especially if you're an avid fan of the Pokemon games since the anime practically tear the Pokemon rulebook into shreds with their "dumb anime logic" (their words, not mine), such as being able to dodge moves that cannot be dodged (Aerial Ace) or having type advantages being ignored (Aim for the horn, Pikachu!). "Makes no sense" indeed. For me, I have a nostalgic attachment to it, but not too much. I'm more of a Digibro, not a Pokemanz, even though I like the Pokemon games more than the Digimon ones. Here are the things I like and dislike about the Pokemon anime: Likes Many great OP and some great ED themes on the Japanese side of the anime (Spurt! and Battle Frontier are my favorite); 3-4 good themes in the dub. Advanced Challenge has my favorite dub OP. Pokemon D/P is an improvement over all other seasons. Satoshi (yes, Satoshi, not Ash) actually uses strategies! The rival actually makes logical points about battling pragmatically (instead of that friendship bullshit)! But it's only an 'improvement'; still not amazing compared to other anime. Visuals improved vastly after Advanced Generation @720p. Emotional tearjerkers are aplenty in the first season (the first episode, Bye Bye Butterfree, Goodbye Pikachu). I didn't cry as much in later seasons. Kasumi is best gurl. Dislikes Terrible dub themes in later seasons after Advanced Challenge. As said before, Pokemon moves make no sense. Tackle against Skarmory and Bubblebeam against Gyarados. Contest episodes are as boring as the in-game contests. Fillers galore, especially in the notorious Johto. EVOLVE YOUR POKEMON, SATOSHI Silly love and friendship is the norm. The presence of this cliche is as bad as other shounen anime like One Piece and Naruto. >Don't want to evolve Pokemon because friendship >Make them fight each other in cock fighting instead Okay... Constantly releasing powerful Pokemon because of said friendship bullshit. STOP RELEASING YOUR POKEMON, SATOSHI. Satoshi took the APTX 4869 every season (Detective Conan in-joke; look it up), resulting in never aging. Satoshi's intelligence also took the APTX-path, regressing back to zero every season, making dumb battling moves again. Pikachu suffers the same fate, getting defeated by a Snivy, and getting injured or sick at the start of every season. No Mega Evolution for Satoshi. And if he does have one, he'll probably take the less powerful Mega form - Charizard Y. Repetitive story about some brat trying to get 8 badges and make animals fight each other. Satoshi Forever Friendzoned. Anime takes liberties from the game, not adapting it faithfully. And many more... Nah. Just kidding on the "Many more" part. But seriously, the anime has so many problems. It's one of my least prioritized anime to watch. I only watched it recently because of nostalgia, and it feels kinda fun playing Pokemon using Satoshi's Pokemon team from the anime. I sometimes watch the anime while playing for full effect, pretending I'm playing Satoshi in the game.
  10. Why I akin Pokemon TCG Online to gambling:

    1. The most obvious reason is that it's addictive in the way that attracts you to winning a match even when you lose because of your pride. If you win, you would probably wanna win some more rather than quit while you're ahead. Sounds familiar?

    2. It's cards. The most common form of gambling involves cards. Not the strongest reason, but that's why I said #1 was the most obvious reason.

    3. The dealer of the game, in this case, the developers of the online TCG, can cheat you into playing forever by manipulating the luck of your draw. This is a result of the TCG's RNG mechanics.

    4. You don't lose money, but you'll probably lose a lot of time and your spirit will probably be drained by the end of the day. I know mine did. Ugh. Time for some relaxing VNs.

  11. Sorry to hear, abrazilrep. For what it's worth, there are worse ways to die in prison. My condolences. My confession isn't something as serious, but here goes... I care about winning way too much. In an online match, I would rather quit the match than let the opponent beat me. My ego always gets in the way. I don't know. I always feel that in games like Pokemon, where the only goal of the game is to beat the opponent (rather than rewarding you for being creative about it), winning always feels better than losing. I mean, sure, losing teaches you some kind of lesson, I guess... but let's be real - when it comes down to it, none of those players would admit with sincerity that they love losing. They would merely say that it's educational, not that they love it.
  12. False. I've paid my dues, time after time. I've done my sentence, but committed no crime. Next person gets the reference.
  13. Pokemon TCG Online is one of those video games that's addictive because it's challenging - and not in a good way. I'm sure a number of you have already read why it's problematic, so I won't go into details. Needless to say, it's a game where I hate playing it, but I can't stop playing it because I'm not satisfied with losing. So it keeps baiting and baiting, and I took the hook, line, and sinker.

  14. I hesitated playing Tomoyo After because it looks like they made Tomoyo more moe compared to her tough-as-nails version in the original Clannad. lol I don't know if mah best gurl's personality has been altered till the point I might not enjoy the story at all...
  15. It's a pain when I already have a whole backlog of other VNs to read, some of them almost just as long as Muv-Luv. Almost...
  16. Saints Row IV got old fast for me. Lots of grinding on events that you need to earn medals for. I hate medals. And all events have a copy of themselves, albeit in harder difficulty. Okay, so not the exact copy, but the events/bonus missions are still annoying to me. The story is okay, I guess. I had some laughs in Saints Row the Third, but by the time SRIV came along, it just lost the flavor for me for some reason. I couldn't stand the game for more than a few hours of gameplay. The comedy just didn't do anything for me - and this is coming from a guy who likes hyperbolic comedy like Gintama.
  17. I like the whole "choose to be good/evil" option in InFamous though. I like video games with that, such as the Mass Effect trilogy.
  18. I'm kinda waiting for the special Vita edition to come out as well. I know the Vita VNs often have those bonus content... that is, if it's a localized version. Hopefully.
  19. Neither have I. *stays and embrace the seething hatred* ... .. In all seriousness, I plan to someday, but it's one of those lengthy VNs I'm putting off till a more convenient time.
  20. Just played a little bit of Prototype. It's okay, I guess. I wish InFamous was on the PC as well, as I heard it's a better game. I hate how there are these jumping and racing events that have medals to them. I mean, sure, it's not necessary to earn the gold medals for each event... but it's practically baiting you to repeat the stupid thing over and over again until you get the perfect jump through the whole thing. Curse Sony for canceling InFamous for Vita.
  21. Cancerous denizens on YouTube are surprisingly unsurprisingly ubiquitous.
  22. Aye. We're all probably going to Hell anyway, what with those strict heaven standards. It's like Trump's the one ruling Heaven.
  23. Agnostic. Or as some people call it, hypocrite.
  24. I wish the voiced version of the game is translated. But I guess that won't happen for a while, considering the voiced Vita version came out not long ago. Hopefully, it would get localized some time soon.
