Yeah I'm just finishing up S now (just have Koyuki to do) and damn, was it disappointing. Only routes I've legitimately enjoyed were Monshiro's (though the ending was hella anti-climatic) and ~half of Tsubame's. Really hoping A is more like the original as far as storylines go.
